Chapter 3 Revenge dress

I parked my car at the garage and freshened up before entering the house but my eyes were still all puffy. I've mentally prepared myself for all the scolding and have carefully planned my escape.

"Bell! What happened? Why are you in spare clothes?" My dad worriedly said as he walked towards me with a frown.

I didn't know how to explain. I forgot that I was in some random guy's shirt.

"I went out for a run but I got blocked out, it was nighttime when I woke up" I explained lowering my head. I checked the countertop that was filled with my favorite food.

"Why the hell would you block out running? And why are your eyes puffy?" Noah just had to bring that up.

Putting up my saddest drama queen face I faced my dad and ignored Noah. "I'm a little tired dad. I'm sorry I missed dinner." I then leaned in for a hug

"It's okay Bells we actually haven't eaten. We can have a late dinner if you want to." He caressed my hair and kiss my forehead. "But you need to shower and change. You kinda smell awful." I looked at him dumbfounded.

I wasn't hungry after what commenced today but not wanting to break my old man's heart I freshened up and ate dinner with them. It was almost midnight when we retreated to our bedroom. I couldn't really bring myself to sleep.

I would wake up with the most painful chest pains and I knew what it meant. It felt like my heart was being set on fire but I couldn't scream. I knew what it meant. It was my mate being intimate with Ellie again. I held my chest and was breaking a sweat on my forehead.

How long are they gonna keep going on? For crying out loud.

Desperate, I popped a sleeping pill and within minutes I was able to fall into slumber.

A month after

The first few weeks were the most painful. The pain in my chest would spread all throughout my body, paralyzing me. Sometimes I would fall on the floor not knowing which part hurts. I felt like dying and to tell you Luka intentionally did it every day for a good week before it grew gradually. I swear I want to kill Luka every second.

I didn't want my dad and Noah to notice so I would brew healing teas and take numbing antidotes just to get rid of the pain. If I told my dad then Alpha would've done something. But I didn't want to get Luka in trouble or make him even angrier, I was scared but I know I have to be strong. It's stupid and I felt like a masochist trying to put up with this act.

The bullying almost stopped. Luka knew that if his friends ever hurt him he would feel it too and it would be worst for him. But even so, I tried to avoid them. Except for the one time when Ellie and I were in the bathroom. I saw Luka hitting his head when I got out.

I couldn't even believe that a month has already passed. It was prom. With my sad spirit, I didn't actually want to go but Macy forced me into it. To be honest I wanted to look my best, just to show Luka that I was strong enough to take on the pain.

I wore a red dress sequin dress that hugged my body tightly. It showed my neckline and hang low at the back. It had a slit that showed my legs. I was quite tall standing at 5'8 but it didn't matter, I wore 4-inch red stilettos.

My hair was in old Hollywood curls. I wore a set of pearl earrings and a pearl choker. My red lipstick matched the whole look. I went down as my date Evan waited downstairs. He's been my friend for a year now. We decided to go together since I turned down most that asked me, and so he went with me out of pity, I guess. After a few pictures in our living room, we drove to our high school.

"Bellamy! You look so beautiful!" Macy greeted. I clutched my hand on Evan's arm as we strode inside. Just hope my revenge dress would work its charm. Luka White, you'll see how I'll stay standing after everything.

"You look good too." I complimented her. She did look great in her black turtle neck dress.

"You want to dance?" Evan asked. I didn't want anyone to ruin my night. Especially not by Luka. Even after losing some hours of studying because of Luka, I still managed to top my class and I looked totally hot.

So I joined him on the dance floor and enjoyed myself. Sometime during the dance, I felt my lips burned and my heart tightened. I knew what that meant. Luka and Ellie were probably in some corner playing house. A few minutes after they entered with his entourage of Eric, Trey, Forrest, and Therese Forrest' mate. I felt Luka piercing holes at the back of my head and I glanced at him for a while we were locked in a stare-down before he broke it off.

Luka looked hot in his tuxedo. So tall and alluring with his hair slickly styled. If he was a gentleman I would've been on his feet already. Ellie was clinging to him like a leech. She was tinier than me and looked like an imp beside Luka. But she was fierce and annoying and has her way with her mean words.

The music changed into a slow dance. I mean awkwardly slow and romantic. I initially wanted to sit down but Evan cling to me and held my hands tightly.

"You really look beautiful tonight Bell." He awkwardly whispered.

"Thank you, I'm a little tired I think I'm gonna sit down." I said as I tried to pull myself away.

"Come on just one song and you're done for the night" He insisted and I didn't have the heart to turn him down.

A few minutes in I could hear him breathing heavily, like sounding so satisfied kind of breath. As we turn I can see Ellie and Luka in an argument. The arrogant boy seemed to be really annoyed with her. I mean who wouldn't.

Luka would steal glances from me, I mean stare at me for a good minute. I brushed it off and stared elsewhere.

Feeling even more uncomfortable now, I tried to pull away. Evan held me tightly and his hand was sitting low on my back.

"Evan stop!" I called him out pushed myself away.

"Will you quit it, Bellamy. Can't you see that I like you? Haven't you taken a hint?" Evan grunts, which made me shocked. I never really saw him that way and never took his kindness as advantcements, I thought he was just sweet.

"No, Evan I'm sorry I don't feel that way for you. Please let me go." I rejected and tried to break free from his tight hold.

"Come on Bellamy, just give me a chance." He tried to lean in for a kiss but I felt his body being pushed down by a great force.

It was Luka, he bumped Evan with his big shoulders as he strode to the dance floor to dance with his imp, I mean girlfriend clinging to him like a leech.

I badly want to thank Luka, but he probably did it to embarrass Evan. I took the opportunity to sit down and ignore Evan as he stood up holding his bloody mouth as he went for the exit. It felt kind of sad to lose a friend tonight.
