Chapter 2 A Mistake

It was Ellie, butt naked with her legs wrapped around his hips clutching onto his broad shoulders. Of my mate.

Of Luka White.

The wolf I detest the most in this world.

I then stood up and slammed the door as I went out. Disgust was running all over my body.

Walking out I felt extreme pain in my chest. I didn't want to but I began sobbing, opening my mouth to release the pain built up in my throat. I ran as fast as I could as far as the scent would stop. I ran away from the campus and into the woods.

Tala wanted to get out. She was in distress and anger, she wanted to rip Ellie's head off her body.

'Tala calm down!' I told her.

'Mate! He betrayed us! I'm gonna go back there and rip their skulls'

'Tala you have to think if you do that we'll be exiled! Dad and Noah won't be too happy about it!'

'It hurts Bellamy! He betrayed us! He knows you're mate'

Tala whimpered and rolled as she released the pain in our hearts. She couldn't do anything but howl. I tried to take over but she blocked me out as she ran deeper into the woods like a maniac.

I woke up tired and naked, it was already nighttime. Tala took me way too far into the woods, my clothes were ripped and I was in the middle of nowhere. It was dark and I was a little scared.

'What time is it? What if someone sees me. Oh no! Dad and Noah are waiting for me at home for dinner. Oh Tala why did you have to take this to heart.' I told myself.

Dad and Noah must be so worried for me.

I stood up and checked the trees for spare clothes. Elders in the pack would always leave blankets or clothes in the forest in cases like this. I went to the trees to check and luckily there was a plaid button-down shirt packed in a zip wrap. It was quite big but good enough for me to hide in so I wore it.

I then ran back to school as fast as I can. Only goddess know what time it is. Seeing the school from a far I then slowed up my pace but before I got near someone grabbed me. My knees trembled in exhaustion.

"You're alone." A deep cold monotonous voice said.

It was Luka. In the middle of the night alone in the woods. With me. His unfortunate mate. Nothing screams good about that idea. I shivered to see him blocking my path.

"Just let me pass. Please." I lowered my head and begged. I know he wasn't gonna let me go without playing with me a little. I hated him all my life, and life played a cruel joke of bringing us together.

"What were you doing in the woods?" He asked.

"I went for a run." Playing with my sleeves. My heart started pounding as he was walking near me.

"I need to go home, my father's waiting for me," I added. The tone of my voice decreased as I said each word.

"You were spying on me, weren't you. I never took you as a pervert" I looked up to his accusing eyes.

"I wasn't. I was just walking... and I needed to go to the bathroom... but then--" I stopped as he was walking near me. All the hair in my body stood up. I was in an awkward situation. I didn't even have any underwear and I only had one old shirt covering my nakedness.

"I heard it's your birthday." He said with an evil smirk. "What did you found out today Bellamy?" His tone was extremely low. And I was extremely terrified to answer.

"Tell me! What. Did. You. Found. Out. Today" He shouted at the top of his lungs shocking and immobilizing me. If his wolf would come out I bet it would tear my lungs out.

He was a month older than me. Meaning he found out a month after I did. But he still took Ellie to bed. Didn't took me a minute to think that he wasn't into the whole idea of us being mates either.

Building up the courage I replied. "Just reject me right now. I don't want you as a mate anyways" His face turned into the darkest I could ever encounter.

"You think I'll make it easy for you Bellamy. I will hurt you in all ways possible. You'll be on your deathbed before I can reject you." His voice was so cold, so filled with hatred. He turned around as I took the courage to say.

"Why? What for? You don't want me anyways. Why should you keep hurting me this way? What did I ever do to you! Just reject me and get on with it!" I sounded like I was begging him for mercy.

"Because I want to. Because I want you to pay for everything. I want you to feel the pain. You'll have to beg me with your knees bleeding before I reject you." He touched my hair and brushed it to the side.

"I don't understand Luka. There's no point in all this anger. Please, I would do everything you ask." I said as the tears I tried to keep flow down my cheeks.

As much as his touch gave me sparks, my anger was way bigger that I could barely feel the bond.

"Hmmm. These tears are not enough sweetie." He said as he turned his back away from me.

"I Bellamy Cross reject you Luka White as my mate. To hell, if you accept. To hell, if you are alpha! I will take whatever pain until I am numb and one day you will fall on your knees weak begging me to accept you."

"ARE YOU THREATENING ME! Don't you dare Bellamy Cross! You are in no way deserving to be Luna! I would never ever accept you."

"As you are in no way deserving to be an alpha." I said coldly looking at his back.

"You better watch that mouth. Next time you spit with your useless mouth, will be the last time you'll be able to use it. Mark my words Bellamy Cross. I will make your life a living hell." He threatened.

He couldn't hurt me with his own hands as this would hurt him twice. He then pushed me on the ground and arrogantly walked away. When he was no longer in sight, I stood up and walked slowly to my car.

'Why goddess? Why him? Of all the wolves in the world, why did it have to be someone who's determined to hurt me!" I broke down. He hates me. No. He loathes me and promised to pour his wrath on me. I don't even have a clue why. I only wanted to pour my young life into studying and becoming the best out of the career I chose. But all is complicated now. Luka is out there waiting for my death.

There must be a mistake. This is all a mistake.

After a few minutes of wailing alone in my car, I charged my phone and saw a thousand of missed calls from Dad and Noah. Even Lilly, Noah's mate was sending me messages. I checked the time and saw that it was 10 P.M.
