CHAPTER 2

ZOE POV

Up close he is good looking but all because he's rich doesn't give him the right to look down on people.

"You must be Miles? I guess my warning didn't leave any impact on you" I said seriously as I walked closer to him.

All the girls in the hostel came out to stare at Miles.

"Why are you building a mountain out of a molehill? Ivy didn't complain when I got her those those things so stop been jealous and let Ivy keep those things or are you using this opportunity to get closer to me" He said with a flirtatious smile.

"Pervert... You think every girl would fall on their kneel just to be close to you. You think so highly of yourself. If you don't like Ivy or wanna go out with her. I don't think it's any use spoiling her with gifts" I said seriously then he walked closer to me staring deep into my eyes.

Oh my goodness what's this feeling? I uttered in my head with my eyes wide open.

"Who do you think you're? You are just her damn roomie so what's your business if I choose to date her or not. If I can't date her then would you be my girlfriend?" He asked and he caressed my face.

He's... He's... He's the trinity lord. I muttered in my mind and suddenly my whole body became weak because of the shock and I almost lost balance but Miles caught me.

"Looks like you're trying to flirt with me already" He joked and I moved away from him.

"Mason let's go. I think everything is settled now" Miles said with a smile.

"Such a drama Queen" Mason uttered and he was obviously referring to me.

"Zoe I would get you something beautiful when next we meet. Bye bye" Miles announced as they walked to their car.

"Miles please don't go..." All the girls yelled as they went after their car.

"Zoe thank you for standing out for me but it's really okay. Let's just leave him be, he meant no harm" Ivy said with a smile.

"Zoe..."

"Yes" I answered putting myself back together.

"Why are you spacing out? Don't tell me you also have a crush on Miles or you just started having a crush on him" Ivy asked staring at me.

"What! What are you saying Ivy? Of all people you chose to think I have a crush on Miles. Unbelievable" I protested looking away.

"You gave me a reason to think that way. You lost your balance after Miles caressed your face. I'm sure your heart was beating so fast the moment he did that that's why you lost your balance" Ivy teased.

"Come on... It's not like that. I really don't have a crush on that rich brat. I will go out for a while,I will be right back" I said and went out.

"She's blushing..."

"Silly girl" I giggled.

FLASHBACK.. "Selene you have to make your aunty proud. Look for the trinity and bring it back to me with the head of the one who's with it" FLASHBACK ends.

What does Aunt need that trinity for? I thought ones born with it. How am I supposed to get it. Why does Miles have it. He has a dominating personality,it won't be easy getting it from him. I thought walking round the school garden.

MILES POV

I have the feeling Zoe isn't what she seem to be. I thought.

"Alpha what are you thinking" Mason asked and my eyes went wide open.

"Mason what are you doing? You can't be calling me that here" I reminded.

"Oh sorry about that but lately I haven't been feeling good about everything and things felt very strange when I saw Zoe" He emphasized.

"You feel same way too right? Do you think there's a problem at home" I asked worriedly.

"Where's that coming from Miles" He asked seriously.

"When I got to the female dormitory I felt something familiar like there was a fellow pack around" I said almost in a whisper.

"That's ridiculous Miles. You didn't come this far to go back to the wolf land. Don't forget you made me a promise. I'm not allowing you go back there,I will always protect you from all harm" He said defiantly.

"I wasn't planning on going back. I'm just having the feeling something isn't right"

" You always feel this way whenever it's almost full moon" He chipped in.

"I don't... I just feel am running away from my responsibility. Whatever,who cares! I don't give a damn on what happens to them all because none of them protected my father" I said with so much hate.

"Now that's the Miles am talking about. You shouldn't get swayed into risking your own life" Mason advised.

Mason and I have been friends from childhood. He's my personal guard. We learnt how to fight together,we lost our fathers on the same night. He followed me all the way to the human world to keep on protecting me.

I still can't let Zoe go off my sight. She looks like an interesting person. I thought with a silly smile.

"You're thinking of hooking up with another girl... Such a pervert" Mason teased.

"You know me too well. I wanna speak with the school director"

"What do you plan on doing" He asked with a curious look.

"You will find out soon enough" I exclaimed with a silly smile.

NEXT DAY

ZOE POV

Next morning I woke up with a heavy headache,I almost couldn't make it to class.

What was I thinking? This puzzle is really difficult for me to put together. What's aunty's deal. She wants me to be a demon. Of course I should be a devil if I want to get her approval and love. I should behave like a princess which I am.

"Oh Zoe you really need to listen to this trending story in the class" Ivy announced as I got into the class.

"Will you allow me sit first.. What's this trending story all about to begin with" I asked as I sat down staring at her.

"Zoe there's this story about a billionaire werewolf" Ethan shouted with his eyes wide open.

Ethan my course mate and kinda a friend,he's also known as the gossip trending blog in Carson university. He knows about everything going on in the university.

"A werewolf" I laughed.

"Yeah a billionaire werewolf. Don't you think it's kinda interesting and mysterious to come across something like that and my mum told me, werewolves seem to have supernatural powers which provide them with everything they want" Ethan said excitedly.

"Zoe in this class who do you think have the personality of a werewolf like the story says" Ivy asked staring at me.

"I think it's..."

"You all think it's me" Miles cut in as he walked into the class.

"What's wrong with being rich.. you all now suspect your course mate" Mason said sarcastically.

"Zoe seem to grow interest in me lately. Mason don't you think so" Miles joked.

"Nobody said it was you Miles. Why are you putting it on yourself" Ethan said.

"Come on Miles,of all girls in this campus, Zoe is the least you should give your time and attention. You're definitely every girl's dream guy and Zoe isn't exceptional" Susy protested.

"Bluffing...." I scoffed.

The professor walked into the class, looking all elegant and smart.

"Good day everyone. I will be announcing the name of those who have been selected to work as an intern in Mega estate" He announced.

"Zoe I wish I would be on that list. It's really difficult getting into the company as an intern" Ivy said anxiously.

I also want to get into that company. I muttered in my head.

FLASHBACK " Early that morning before I came to class. I went to the director's office.

" Director I have made up my mind,I want to work in Mega estate" I said politely.

"But Zoe you rejected the offer when you were told you have been selected"The director said.

"Sorry about that director,I was facing family issues that's why I couldn't make clear decisions" I explained and the director's phone started ringing. He went out to take the call then came back to his seat.

"Don't worry Zoe, your decision would be put into consideration" The director said politely. FLASHBACK ends..

If I want to get the trinity,I have to work closer to who has it. I muttered in my mind staring at Miles whose attention was on his phone.

"Mason Larry, Ivy Mark, Zoe White, you three have been selected to work as interns in Mega estate" The director announced with a smile.

"Only few people gets to enter Mega estate so you three are sure lucky students"

"How's that lucky,we weren't even selected..." Some students protested with a frown.

"Zoe we got selected!" Ivy shouted excitedly as she hugged me.
