Chapter 5 Five

MINDY

"Still painting at night?"

She placed both of her hands from my back into my shoulders and leaned a little to see the canvas in front of me making a closer look to my art, she then let out a laugh and sat into her bed. Isabella is my roommate in our wide spacious dorm in the academy.

"You really love winter sceneries; they all look the same to me but your art makes it cooler." she said "Anyways, can you help me straight my hair when you're done?"

"Yeah, sure. Just some touches and I'll be good"

"Great, I'll just go back to the bathroom I forgot something." she rand and I stood up from my work, and placed the canvas to the safer side, grabbed my phone and jumped unto my bed. Isabella is still in the bathroom brushing her teeth, while I'm on my phone browsing until I heard a loud knock on the door.

"Isabella, could you check the door who it is?" someone is still knocking the door and Isabella couldn't possibly hear me due to the water running. I quickly stood up and walked towards the door and peeked into the peephole, there was no one inside.

I shrugged it off, I was about to back to my bed when there was another knock on the door, I angrily opened it to see who is knocking in twelve midnight. I was shocked, Nicholas is in front of me, he looks like he's sweating and his brows are knitted. I looked both ways in the hallway and looked at him.

"What are you doing here in the middle of the night?!" I whispered "Why are you still up?"

"Why did you take so long to open a door?"

"I didn't know that there's still people here messing in the hallways, it's freaking twelve midnight!" I whispered at him in low voice, we were outside the door. "I didn't expect anyone to come, you better stop playing with your games, Alfredo."

"Then you better stop calling me, Alfredo"

"That's your second name, it doesn't mean that you just came from France I would change the way I looked at you." I walked inside the door, I was about to close the door when he blocked it with his left foot.

"It hurts you know?" I opened the door wide and looked at him "You should feel ashamed of yourself, for not letting a guy like me get inside."

"Excuse me?" I scoffed "This is a girls dorm room building, you should be the one should feel ashamed-" he suddenly barged in and closed the door and leaned on it, preventing me to let him go outside again, I punched him in the arm making him some pain.

"Would you get out, or else you feel how hard I can punch again?"

"Just-Just let me stay here for a while, okay?"

"Mindy, I just found my hair straightener its broken-Oh?" we both looked the same way where Isabella is standing "Nicholas, why's he here?"

"Hi" he waved at her and I elbowed him in his belly making him grunt "Ow, that has a good hit."

"He's just lost, don't mind him." I said "He's just disturbing us."

"Mindy, I really need to talk to you." he said in a serious tone "It's really important."

"Nicholas, stop! I don't love you anymore!" Nicholas was so desperate in wanting to talk to me, making me yell at him something I shouldn't have said to him. I sighed in regret, thinking I hurt his feelings.

"I..I know that." he said in a low tone voice "It's just that I need to tell you something, for your own safety."

"I think you two should talk, Mindy." said Isabella "I think he has really something important to say." I grabbed Nicholas's arm and we went outside of my room, I looked around and still it's so quiet. I looked at him and he gave me these serious eyes, those eyes that tells you they're hurt.

"Now that we're outside, what's that important you we're saying?"

"Mindy, Listen. You need to leave your room after this, bring Isabella with you." he whispered "No questions, just do what I say."

"Why, what's happening?"

"I just- Just do what I say okay?" he sighed "I saw a guy talking to someone, I overheard your name and the word kill, I don't want anything bad will happen to you. So, you better move."

"I think you're their next target, after they failed to attack Trixie at the gym."

"Do you have proof on what you're saying?" I said "If you don't have any proof on what you're saying then I'm sorry." I was about to go inside when he held my wrist and held the doorknob to prevent me for getting inside, I looked him in the eyes.

"Mindy, listen to me just this once." his eyes were serious "I know that you're still mad at me for what I've done before, but listen to me just this once. I don't want to see you hurt."

"You should've said that before." I said "You know I need to go to sleep, you need sleep also." I shrugged off his hand holding my wrist.

"Goodnight" he blocked the door and straightly looked at me in the face "What are you doing?!"

"Mindy, I still love you." he said "I know I did something wrong before, I know you told me to go away and leave you alone. But after hearing those, I can't stop worrying that they might hurt you."

"What did you say?"

"You're so hard headed, you don't understand! How many should I say it to you that its not safe and I don't want you hurt. I still love you so much, Mindy!" he whined "So, please listen to me and you have to get your friend and go-"

"Go where exactly?" Both of us looked where the voice came from, it's a woman. She's wearing all black with those latex gloves, and her eyes are dark violet. "I'm sorry to ruin your mini love confession but, you guys don't have to go anywhere"

"Stay behind me, Mindy." he said stepping in front of me "You go inside your room once I say run, I'll handle her"

"I want to help"

"Your friend needs you inside, she's alone." he said "Once you escaped, call lance immediately."
