Chapter 4 THE GODDESS

Moving from Nathaly's room, there was another room, which was also still empty for the same reason; still haven't reached the age of twenty. The room belongs to Steven's little brother, Sebastian Shao. He was still a high school student. The youngest boy in the X Clan family.

You see, most of them were boys. Which made the girls precious in their life and activated the protective mode all the time. If you think the introduction is over, nope.

It's not because we still haven't talked about the owner of the last room on the left side. Even though the owner had reached the age of twenty, well, twenty-two to be exact, she lived on another side of the world.

Precisely in Z country. If you guessed the name of Thalia Black, then you are right! She took over the business in Z country, especially her sworn mother's company, the JJ Group. The company had gone through the rebranding under the new name, XC Group.

Why does she have a room in that building even though she lived in the Z country? Well, simply because there was a time where she attended the business in B country and that is where she will be.

Three girls, nine boys. They were all handsome, beautiful kids that were adored by many girls and men. They were tempted by their perfect life. Handsome, beautiful, well-built physically, got the CEO position, plus born from the well-adorned couples that were once a heartthrob in the same country.

Almost lunch break time, a matte black Lambo parked at the entrance and two young boys coming out from each of the driver's seats and the passenger seat. They had their black shades on, which failed to cover up their handsomeness.

With their backpack on, they walked into the entrance, not before the one in a light blue shirt, ripped bleach jeans, tossed his car keys to the guard. They look carefree and every employee that caught sight of them didn't forget to bow and greet them.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Elijah Mu."

"Good afternoon, Mr. Sebastian Shao!"

The boys just nodded their heads, acknowledging their greeting. They went up straight to the elevator. The VIP elevator is the only elevator that had the excess to the top floor where their office is located. The two of them were chatting and laughing from time to time.

Meanwhile, Jayden, who had been busy, as always, can hear that the connecting door in between the room was opened and reveal the whining Emanuel.

He needs to walk past Steven and Nathel's room before he can get into Jayden's room. Jayden didn't need to raise his head because he knew who it was. Steven and Nathel rarely used the connecting door as they preferred using the front door.

"Ugh... Brother! I'm so stressed!" Emanuel said before he slumped his body on the couch nearby.

Still holding the pen and reading the paper, Jayden asked him, "Is it about the contract with the Russian?"

Emanuel ruffled his hair, frustrated. "Yeah! They are so demanding! So hard to deal with! Not to mention the bossy girl, their General Manager, who was a pain in the ass!"

"Maybe she likes you! Wanting to get your attention and purposely put you in a hard situation!" Jayden teased.

"Oh, come on! Not going to let her get into my pants, brother! You know why!" Emanuel pouted.

His feelings towards Jayleen never went away, for once. Not when she grew up and became the most beautiful girl in his life.

Hearing Emanuel's words, Jayden put down his pen and looked at the one that had his body on the couch.

They were men; they shared their secret. Well, not a secret, since everyone in the family knew that Emanuel had special feelings towards Jayleen. Not just him. He got a pretty close competitor, Steven, who showed his eagerness in silence.

Unlike Emanuel, Steven is more closed about his feelings. But Jayden knew about it when he confessed when he got wasted during their get-together years ago.

Steven and Emanuel's feelings were so deep that for the past years, they had maintained their clean records. No girlfriend, no hook-up partner, no fuck buddies.

Jayden is twenty-four young man, and he ain't no saint. In the gang, only two of them are still virgins, not including the girls of course; Steven and Emanuel. The boys and the girls had open-minded parents.

But still strictly reminding them not to play with anyone's feelings, not to give false hope, and never give the promises that they can't keep.

Back to the present, Jayden then said, "Don't you think you should move on now, little brother?!" Both Emanuel and Steven never confessed their feelings, afraid of the rejection. Jayden then heard Emanuel sighed. He sat up on the couch.

"I've tried, brother! So many times! But I can't!" True. Emanuel tried to find someone, but his circle of women was small, and ended up looking for someone like Jayleen. Which revealed that his mind wasn't ready to move on.

"What is it you can't?" The cold and stern voice coming from the outside snapped the attention of the two young men in the room. It belonged to none other than the most unapproachable person in the gang, Steven Shao.

"It's about the contract with the Russians!" Jayden quickly covered up for Emanuel. Emanuel mouthed thank you and his body now felt relaxed from the quick tension because of Steven's sudden presence.

Steven then took the seat next to Emanuel. He then let out a sigh. "Facing the same problem, too. The price is high, but then considering the profit from it, I'm now in a dilemma!"

Jayden leaned his back on his executive chair before he suggested. "About the Russians. Ask what they want first, Emanuel. See if their demand is something that we can meet. Steven, why don't you look around for another land? There might be another potential land, you know. Widen your option!"

They processed the suggestion for a few seconds before nodding their heads. Right then, the door burst open again and two noisy boys announced themselves.

"Brothers!"

The two boys darted inside the office before taking a seat on the couch. Steven and Emanuel groaned when they heard the annoying voices of their brothers. Jayden shook his head, helplessly.
