Chapter 2 THE FIRSTBORN RULE

As much as the men wanted to hold their laughter, they simply couldn't. Slowly, Daniel blinks his eyes, and the light on the ceiling is blinding him, which made him close his eyes momentarily before they opened. Under his hazy eyes, he scanned around and saw the room was crowded with his friends and family.

"Well, well, well. Look who just woke up!" Nathan said and everyone turned their head in Daniel's direction. The men had their smug faces, indirectly mocking him.

"Never thought the warrior would faint in the labor room while he was not the one giving birth!" Stefan's comments made everyone burst into laughter.

Daniel rolled his eyes. He didn't care about that anymore. They could say whatever they wanted because he was determine to get his vasectomy first thing first tomorrow morning!

He got off the bed and went to his wife. "How do you feel, my love?" He asked carefully.

Farah looked tired, and he totally understood that. Farah smiled at him and answered, "I'm fine, my dear. Take a look at our babies!"

Babies?! Oh, yes! I got the twins!

Daniel temporarily forgets that he has two babies in Farah's stomach. At the same time, he was grateful that he fainted before he could witness his second child coming out into the world!

Kalen and Angel held each of the babies and they walked closer before giving one after another. Daniel holds two of his babies in each of his arms. "What are they?" He asked.

"The question from the one that was supposed to accompany his wife into the labor room and cut the umbilical cord!" Louis didn't leave a chance to make fun of Daniel. Louis faced the same reaction as him but at least he got to cut the cord before he fainted.

They laughed once again. Daniel turned his head and faced his wife, ignoring his friend's laughter and sarcasm.

"Boys. Both of them were boys!" Farah answered. Daniel looked shocked. Well, that was unexpected. He thought he would get one boy and one girl, just like Jackson did.

"Looks like you can't pair them up with my twin!" Jackson announced and again earned laughter filling the room.

Farah chuckled. She then said, "The one on your right is the first and the left one is the second."

Daniel smiled. Even though his plan to pair up his twin with Jackson's twin didn't take place just like he had in his mind, that's fine. He was lucky enough to get the two children at one time. "Even though I can't pair them up with your twin, they still have a chance, don't they? So now, I present to you, Darrel Gu and Dawn Gu!"

The men can only shake their heads helplessly and the girls applaud, loving the name that Daniel just gave to his sons.

The noise made the two newborns whine before they cried. Daniel quickly gave them to his wife and right then, the door opened, revealing Jonathan and Marie, along with the five kids; Jayden, Jayleen, Steven, Nathel, and Emanuel.

They visited Kalen's house, and they had a little reunion with the others before Farah got the contraction. So, they stayed back to watch for the kids.

Jayleen rushed to the bed and saw the two babies were crying. Her eyes blinked in amusement and smile so wide at the sight of the baby. Daniel happily helps her and makes her sit at the edge of the bed.

"Why are they crying?" Her small, cute voice asked.

Daniel patted her head and said, "They were hungry."

"Oh... They are so cute. Don't cry, baby... Don't cry..." Jayleen said lovingly in her childish voice. Surprisingly, the twin stopped crying that instant. Kalen and Angel go back to the bed with the baby bottle in their hands.

"Eh... Aren't they crying just now?" Kalen asked as she took the older baby, Darrel, and began to nurse him. Angel took another one, Dawn, with questioning eyes too.

Daniel couldn't be happier. He then said, "My daughter-in-law was the one who calmed them down! So lucky to have such a loving daughter-in-law!" He kissed Jayleen's cheeks and brought her into his arms.

"Here we go again!" It annoyed Jackson that her daughter became the same topic all over again. He unconsciously turned his head in Steven's direction, where he noticed that the little boy had the unpleasant look written all over his face. Steven didn't bother to look at the baby.

The truth was, he didn't want to come with Nanna Marie and Papa Jonathan because he knew that his mother, Farah, was giving birth to his other competitors. As if he didn't have enough competitors.

He got enough scolding from his daddy, Stefan, because of his rash action during the wedding. But that didn't stop his determination at all.

"Father, what is a daughter-in-law?" Jayleen asked because lately she often heard the word as Steven said to her she will become his wife and his parent's daughter-in-law.

"Daughter-in-law is a girl that married a man and she became the daughter-in-law in that family! In this case, you are my daughter-in-law!" Daniel explained cheerfully.

Steven heard it all, and he jumped off the couch and stood before Daniel. The adults just wait for the same drama to happen all over again. Daniel squinting his eyes at him, taunting little Steven. It was Déjà vu, yet again.

"No, father! You are wrong! Jayleen will be my parent's daughter-in-law!" He said sternly with his knitted brows creased forehead.

Holding Jayleen tight in his arms, Daniel then fights the little boy. "Nope! She will be my daughter-in-law!"

The little boy didn't back out. He climbs on the nearby bed to have eye level with the childish adult in front of him. When their eyes met, Steven smirked. Raising his eyebrow, Daniel was amused at Steven's courage.

Steven raised his chin, looking so proud. Everyone was waiting for what he was going to say next and they were shocked because that was not something they were expecting.

"In case you forget, I wanted to remind you. The firstborn to rule, remember?!"
