Chapter 2 One of the cheerful moment

Russia 2018.

Her step alone makes the drowsy night to hissed, as she walked slowly down the stairs with one her hand dipped into her pajamas and caramel held softly with the other. Her day doesn't go well, she had been piled up with many cases, being the junior among her team. She moaned softly remembering this as she sprawled out on the fifth stars, staring at the starry sky. It reminds her of her dad, she had been told when she was eight that her father happen to be a victim of a car accident. Which she couldn't find the case open since then. She sighed and gnawed the chorizo caramel hungrily. A quick glimpse at the car that alighted into the compound a meter away from her. She still hasn't figured out why her brother doesn't want to visit their father at the columbarium. It is his tenth year anniversary, and none of it has he attended so far. Just for her to lied to their helpless mother who has been sitting on wheelchair after her husband death. She watched him alighting from his car and his pet hopping and barking melodiously, Max caress his little dog's body softly which moan as the hand works on his hairy skin. Narrating his stressful moment, as if little bunny can cuddle him to his taste, he brought out a chocolate for her which she gnawed cheerfully. Suddenly, a pebble land on his head, which got him out of his stressful hours. 'Ouch, what the hell !'

'You should have been taking your time like this just to visit him once, rather than sitting here to play with your fairly pet!' Her plump shape got him startled at all time, even as though he is two years older than her, he is afraid, he might get beating by her, so he stumbled back. 'Uh, Alina, how was your day?' Ignoring his unfaithful question,

'You didn't make it today also' 'uhm... actually... I was so busy' She sneered at him

'Not that excuse again, I am too!, I have many cases to deal with, I take time to visit!' she cried. She knew that isn't the reason he hadn't wanted to visit him, rather there must be something wrong with him, she thought.

'Shouldn't I tell Mom the truth' 'You don't have to, sis'

'Then just visit once, please, I don't think Mom will ever forgive me if she knows about this' 'I will'

'when is that?' 'When it is the right time'

'The right time', she asked curiously 'Can't you tell me your reasons' Not now' 'Alright then, I am going to tell her the truth' 'ok, what do you want?' 'I want you to visit him' 'let me get you your favorite' he said grinning

'Uhm... that's a bribe, but I will have it' she chuckles

' But I will get you that tomorrow, I am exhausted' 'Let it go, good night' She echoes as she walked a meter almost at the stairs. 'Fine, what can I get you now!' 'A piggyback to my room!'she echoed back, 'What!, that sounds crazy!'

'Good night!'

'Alright' He said squatting

'Really,' she ran to meet him

'hop on'

'Aww... I miss this a lot,' she whined as she hopped on his back.

'You are too heavy,' She found his back so comfy as she started singing limerick.

Which his brother found awkward. Max was surprised that she still have the memory of their childhood age. He thanks Goodness, for her, not witnessed the event of their dad, if not, she had been feeling the hatred in his heart as well. 'Max.'

'Yes'

'Do you still remember this limerick, we used to sing it with Dad in the moonlight hour.'

'yes I do, how come you still have that in your skull.'

'I missed him a lot,' she said remorsefully.

Maksim find himself changing the topic to avoid spoiling the peaceful moment.

'Hey., What of your boyfriend'.

'We've broken up'.

'What,' he stopped at the sixteenth stairs.

Keep moving, he asked for it,' she sounds sad, 'oh, I understand'.

' Everything will be alright, sis'.

They have just alighted at her door step, when he asked her another question,

'So, what case have you been dealing with recently?'

They sprawled on the bed, gesticulating at the ceiling fan.

'Well to start up with the gist, I met an inspector last weekend, who happens to be investigating on the death of Mr. Gusev Alex, the chief general of policeman, secretly. Aren't you aware of the news?'she asked curiously, 'Oh I am'.

'Yea, I was informed lately today that an autopsy had been carried out on the body and there is evidence for it presently, but not yet clarified.

'So what has that got to do with you.'

'Oh, yeah, I am interested in the case, so I will be of aid to him.'

'Never Alina... never will I let you be part of this' feigning in annoyance but afraid as his heart beat supersonically.

'Why...why can't I, I have interest in a case like this, it can fetch me a higher post in the future...' she paused

'Max, you're acting strange recently, What's up with you?' she asked confusedly.

'I am fine' he dashed out of the bed and stormed off, the door slammed. She scoffed confusedly,

'What the hell is wrong with him?'

A magnificent glittering golden furniture set, feeling elated in the dubious office of Anthony Pickwick, who was craving for the magazine in front of him, when he heard a knock on his door.

'Sir, you have a vi...'

Someone barged in from behind and interrupted,

'And for what reason do I have to get your permission before stepping into this office of ours' he interrupted sassy. 'Who am I to hinder the imposed of my honorable mentor,' he replied him smarmier. Luis snickered at him before having his sit opposite to him. 'Why do I hold this visit?'

'You may leave,' he said to his secretary.

Luis passed to him a document which he went through also,

'Nothing much, she just wants you to get that signed.'

'What?,'He snarled, 'does she have to take this far' Luis crossed his legs I each other and watch him displaying. 'Well, you still have next week before the first trial to get that signed, or else...' He butted in

'Or else what?, Is She is going to have me killed?, framed me?,'

He got frustrated

'Never will I signed this, I did rather give a fucking dime, then abusing my uniform, I will suit to win the case, and she will judge according to the law of Russia.'

Luis sighed to his cowardliness,

'You have to friend, you shouldn't be dancing on a thin ice, you know who she is, don't you?'

' God damn it. Good of Russia, the scariest demon., Let her have my word, we shall meet at the court yard, and that man shall be proved innocent' he said ranting Luis couldn't stop laughing at him

'Alright man, I know you are frustrated now, why don't you think over it, and get back to me be for the trial, have a nice day'he took his leave immediately

'Get the hell out of here, naughty dog'

His brain his hot, and his blood pressure getting excruciating.
