Chapter 3 Not related to blood

"Yes,Mumma" Adalia would nod in a very serious manner She was five years old then...When her father cheated on Evans family and ran away with ten millon of dollars.. She and her poor mother were destined to rot behind the prison cell but Mrs.Evans took them in the Evans mansion as their house maid and told the mother and daughter to give a life time service...

Finding no other choice Meta had to agree,.

She and Adalia had been working in their house since then..It's been 14 years...

Yes, she was a maid's daughter..

As she grew up she bloomed like a flower.. It would always give Meta a headache to take Adaila with her anywhere.. Because of her excessive cuteness she would be snatched away by people, they would pinch her on the cheeks, kiss her...

Steve would like to play with her a lot when they were kids.

He said it in front of Mr. and Mrs. Evans..

Mrs.Evans was a little surprised but she laughed caressing his son's head.... But George, Mr.Evans was not happy at all.. He was never going yo let his precious son marry a simple girl like Adaila..

Though Steve was their adopted child.....

After trying a lot Mr. and Mrs.Evans didn't see the face of a child.... A very desired child.. Their day would pass in agony and in hope of any light that would appear someday from somewhere....

It was an incident of one day when George was sitting inside his car parked outside an Orphanage.... He saw a very cute little boy was playing outside the building... The boy was crawling on the grass and playing with puzzles... His eyes softened at that sight........

He couldn't resist the urge to come out of the car and hold the boy in his arms..The boy had fair skin that was smooth like cotton... Small wavy black hair and grey blue eyes enhanced his cuteness more.. The boy started giggling in his arms .. His small hands were rubbing the dirts against George's costly customised suit contaminating its crystal white colour....

That innocent big eyes accompanied with the toothless giggle melted his heart... He thought even if he would give all his possessions and properties to the boy it wouldn't be worth of that smile...

He remembered his dear wife,Martha....

That day George adopted the child. That child was Steve...Steve Evans,the heir of the Steve family..Though not biologically related but not less than that...

George had always given the best thing to his son.. THE BEST.. Doesn't matter whether It's a toothbrush or a car..

So, the best girl will be chosen as his bride..

After the day George said he would marry Adalia, none of them got the opportunity to play with each other ever again..George had strictly forbidden Meta to keep Adalia away from Steve and he also managed to get Steve busy in studies.. It was rare for them to see each others faces....Time passed.. Both of them grew up in their worlds.....

Now Evans was the owner of one of the biggest and most successful companies of the city, sleeping in a luxurious hotel room where Adalia was weeping sitting beside a street ..
