Chapter 7 Saturday Night Party

During the afternoon, before leaving work, Louise got a message from Jorge.

"I left you something in your locker. Don't forget to get it."

Louise knew that this party was her opportunity to improve her image. She met with Brenda and asked her opinion on what to wear.

"You need to dress properly for this kind of party. After all, your crush will be there, and you need to impress him," said Brenda.

"I know that. Where is my bag? He left me a package. I didn't even open it, but I can tell it is an outfit."

"Seriously? Wow! He really takes care of you. I think he has probably noticed your feelings for him."

"Do you think so?"

They opened the wrapping and it was indeed an outfit: a beautiful burgundy dress. When Louise put on the outfit it suited her perfectly.

"Wow my friend, you look beautiful! When Jorge sees you he will freak out, but now all that's missing is the hairstyle!"

"I don't like to play with my hair a lot."

"But you need to, Louise. It will be perfect."

"Fine."

On Saturday...

Brenda helped her friend with a beautiful hairdo. Jorge was so considerate that he sent his own driver to pick Louise up at home. He couldn't go in person as he had to attend the event early. The young woman looked so stunning that when she arrived at the party, she received a lot of attention. There were some reporters at the entrance who wondered who that beautiful woman was. Louise entered the venue and it didn't take her long to find Jorge.

"Wow! Look at you! It's perfect!" he said admiring her.

They stayed close the entire party, and Leoni still hadn't seen Louise. She met many people and even big shots who mistook her for a model. She was very comfortable and self-assured, because Jorge didn't leave her side for a minute. But, unfortunately, all this comfort was short-lived, as a beautiful woman appeared and said, "Jorge?"

The smile of that woman was very radiant and as soon as Jorge saw her, he paused for a moment and then smiled in surprise towards the girl.

"Natasha? I didn't know you would come today,"

Jorge said.

"Yeah, I almost didn't make it because I had something to attend to, but I managed to take some time off in order to see you. Can we talk?"

"Of course!" he said full of hope.

Louise had never seen his eyes that bright. Nothing could ever compare to the glimmer in his eyes when he saw Natasha.

"Oh by the way, this is Louise, a friend of mine." He introduced Louise to the other female.

"Nice to meet you, Louise. I'm Natasha."

"My pleasure, Natasha."

"Will you excuse us for a moment, Louise?"

"Yes, Jorge. Go ahead."

The two left, and Louise watched their backs move farther and farther apart, and saddened, she knew that this woman was not just another someone for Jorge.

Without her on the way, the two could talk in privacy.

"So why didn't you ever come see me?" asked Jorge.

"I've been too busy. I'm sorry but you could have come to me too."

"Natasha, I tried talking to you several times, and you were never available."

"I know, Jorge, that I was very immature. I've been hiding from you the whole time."

"I told you that I would never harm your father in any way. Why can't you believe me?"

"Now I believe in you. My father was never one to play fair with others, and I'm ashamed of that," she said.

Jorge hugged her.

"It's not your fault, and it hasn't changed the way I feel about you. Tasha, I love you. You'll always be the woman of my dreams. Let's forget about all that, and..." "Start over?"

She let go of his arm and said, "I can't do that, at least for now."

"Why ever not? You no longer want me?"

"Yes I do, so very much! But... I need to sort things out with dad first."

"I understand, but just don't take too long, okay?"

Before leaving, he kissed her.

Meanwhile, Louise was going to the restroom when Leoni appeared in front of her, taking her by the arm and saying, "Come with me right this instant!"

His face was cold and dark.

When they got to a more private spot he let go of her arm.

"Why are you here?"

"Mr. Leoni, I was invited tonight."

Then after saying that Louise showed him the VIP card.

Leoni was angry to see the card on her hands.

"I bet it was Jorge, wasn't it? He must be out of his mind. Look, girl, you're already going too far. I didn't invite you, and you're not welcome here. This is a private VIP party."

"But Mr. Jorge invited me to come..."

"So you really believed you could just show up?" Leoni laughed instantly and continued.

"And you still say he's not doing you? Look at you!"

He looked at her from top to bottom.

"How much must this dress have cost? Better yet, how many times did you fuck in order to pay for this thing?"

At that moment Louise was so furious that she slapped him across the face and shouted, "Who do you think I am? I grew up under the belief that girls should only be touched by their husbands, no one else! I don't care if you fire me. But what makes you think you have the right to humiliate everyone just because you are rich? I feel sorry for you. Deep down you know you're just another poor lonely guy." Rage seized Leoni, and he grabbed the girl by the shoulder, saying, "You wench..."

"Leoni, that's enough!"

Jorge rushed forward and stopped him.

"Everyone from the party can hear you if you continue this. Do you want to wreck the party?" Leoni froze for a moment, gave no answer to the man, released the girl and left in silence.

Jorge approached his friend with worry and asked if

she was okay.

"Yes I am fine. I will go home now."

"Wait, Louise. I'll take you back home."
