Father has been disturbing that I visit the school and check out if they were progressing in the new project we were working on, I wasn't really interested in what he made he do sometimes. I have lots of contracts to sign, different files to go through on my table. I still don't know why he chose to get a school, I see no reason why he would buy that school if he didn't have other things in mind, I cared less about it though, I already called Mr Christopher and told him I would be visiting the following week, I also told him to get the new part-time staffs ready, I've met with the full-time teachers and I also needed to know the others.

Father hated when I did something and didn't do it to his satisfaction, he appreciated perfection and he taught too well to attain that height.

My secretary walked in and brought some files for correction, she didn't look at me all the times she was talking and I wondered what was wrong with her. Even when I tried to stare, she would just look away from me.

I hated that, she used to be very free around me and that sudden change bothered me.

"Hadley, are you good?" I was forced to ask.

"Yes, sure." She answered hurriedly. Obviously, she didn't want a personal conversation with me.

"You sure?" I asked again and she nodded, this time she stared at me and I could see her swollen face. "What's wrong with your face?" She quickly stared away.

"Sir, I'm fine. I had an accident but will be fine. I've gotten better to an extent." She said but I didn't believe her.

"An accident on your face?" I suspected something more happened to her but she didn't want to talk about it. "Have you treated yourself?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm recuperating." She stared at me again, her black eye looked like she was punched.

"Were you involved in a fight with someone?" I asked again not convinced with the response she gave me.

"Sir, you have a board meeting by twelve and It's just an hour to that time. You need to prepare ahead for it, I already prepared the minutes of the meeting, will you like to go through it before the time comes?" She asked politely and he nodded his head in response.

She rushed out of the office to get what she prepared for the meeting and I was seated on my chair, really bothered about her. Her face was one of the most attractive features that attracted people to her and her body too.

She got back and handed over the file to me, I took it from her and flipped through the pages. After I was done, I dropped the file and looked up at her but she kept on hiding the face from it. I let her go and concentrated back on the work on my table.

After Hadley left, I took time to study and rehearse on the things I wanted to talk about in the meeting, I was always prepared with or without rehearsing but I needed to get some things back.

Some fraudulent acts were suspected in the accounting section and I ordered that everyone be called out, they all needed to explain how a while sum of ten million dollars was spent within two weeks, I didn't remember signing any cheque or bringing up something that needed that huge sum.

The chief accountant had denied knowing anything about it and he would first be sanctioned for his incompetence.

Hadley knocked at the door the second time and still, I hated the gloomy expression on her face. I wasn't really affected but I just needed her to brighten up her face to attract more clients to us.

No client would be willing to work with us if my secretary was still in that mood, I really hoped the mood wasn't affecting her effectiveness with the job.

I needed to ask her again and maybe she would open up to me this time.

"I got a call from the director of Princeguide high, he just informed me about your visitation next week." She told me. "He said he's prepared all the staff members you're yet to meet and they would meet you next week."

"That's good." I twirled the pen in my hand and stated at her, she bowed her head when she noticed her heavy gaze on her.

"Are you emotionally down?" I asked and she widened her face in shock.

"No sir, it was an accident." She said again and I could easily detect she was lying from how her brows furrowed.

"I just hope this doesn't affect your job." In said sternly. "And please, treat yourself before I escalates." I said to her and she nodded her head in understanding. "Call the accounting unit and remind them of the meeting, after that, go through this file and prepare a query letter of Mr Jeffrey James, he still denies he doesn't know anything about the missing sum. for being careless and letting such amount of money gets missing under his care, he would be queried." I said finally and she listened to me while I spoke.

After I was done, she left the office to do what I ordered her to do.
