Chapter 5 Jealous

I finding myself in the City again, as we called it the capital. I watch him from a distance, he

is seating checking his time, he really never had patience at all, I laugh to myself taking a sip of cocktail.

I wonder who he's meeting, the council? No I doubt I have been observing them since I came back, they meet in secluded areas, keeping themselves hidden and are all human government officials.

They are really determined on Killing our kind and I'm not blaming them, so vampires are really out of control killing and feeding off humans especially those who are not in clans

A woman comes on his table and he stands up to greet her but instead she kisses him close to the lips, then slowly on the lips.

A pang of jealous fills me whole, eating me up but I also feel anger towards that woman for touching him like that, I watch as they sit, they are talking and he's enjoying her company, nodding he's not like this with the others. "Your drink isn't worth that much," she says shaking her head. But I look up to her again

"It's a tip," I stand up. Putting the money in her pocket and leave before she can say anymore. " Oh don't worry, I'll stop by the clinic," she smiles at me and damn she has a pretty smiles. When I get in my car to go home, my thoughts go back to that woman once again, does he love her. My phone rings and I smile since its Enoch.

"How are you?" He asks over the phone in his deep voice, I nod forgetting he can't see me.

"I'm fine," I answer flatly

"No you're not," I smile he really does know me, I groan hating myself, after all these decades, I still feel jealous when another woman is that close to him.

Leaving my chambers happy, I go to look for him this manor is very huge but I can easily find him, if it's not his chambers then it's in the training ground, but I have to check his sleeping chambers first.

But when I'm about to knock I hear noises inside speaking in hush tones.

"This isn't a game" he hiss, That's DeAndre's voice who is he talking to so early in the morning? Is my brother in there?

But a girly giggle proves me wrong .

"But I like it," she says, I don't recognize that voice, is it from our clan or is it one is the human girls?

They continue to talk or argue and I tune out, at the brink of tears, he laid with another woman, couldn't he wait for my answer a while longer? did he want to use me for his sexual satisfaction? Did I hurt he's ego for making him wait?

The door opens and I realize I'm still frozen on his door. His eyes widen with shock not expecting me there.

A girl walk out of his room fixing her silk red dress before looking at me with a smirk.

Hot tears run down my face and I turn to run from there ignoring that he's right after me, calling my to stop but I don't want to.

" Shaina, can you hear me?" Startled by the voice I come back to reality.

"I was asking if we can meet tonight," he repeats " I miss you, it's been a while,"

"Oh yes sure," i can really use a good time. I step on the gas, going fast, it really feels great, so different . Now everything is modern we use cars instead of wagons, no more letters you can easily use a telephone to communicate indeed a lot of things have changed even me.

When I get home the maids help me get ready for my date.

I wear my new set of lingerie with nothing but a black coat on top, and to my dismay high heels

I go downstairs, feeling excited it's been a while I've been with him.

"You look sexy," Aurelia winks coming to my side assessing me, I smile

"thank you, I have a date," I smile kissing her cheek before heading out, when I reach outside, a black escalade waits for me, I look surprised at the driver, Messi open the back door for me.

" you're not my bodyguard anymore," I tell him getting in the car, why does he always do this, he's too good.

"I'll always be my lady, don't forget, I swore to keep you safe and I keep my word always," he says as he starts the car, I sit back checking on my emails. And in twenty minutes we reach the hotel. He opens the door for me

"Don't wait up," I call, going inside the five star hotel. I hear him mumble something under his breath but ignore.

"Enoch Reynolds," I ask the reception, she smiles before giving me a key card. I nod going to the elevator. He was here, DeAndre used this elevator not too long ago, his scent and cologne Is still strong, I inhale deeply I don't want this ride to stop. Then something hits me, he was here was he with that woman?

Soon we reach the last 45th floor where Enoch is staying. I use my card to enter and I gasp, white roses everywhere and a table for two at the balcony, I move closer going there with a smile.

When strong arms wrap around me, I turn to find Enoch looking hot, in a pair of jeans his upper part bare, damn i can see his abs.

"I missed you," he says kissing my lips, and i kiss him back too hungrily. He nibbles my neck, I moan as he drop my coat down to the floor.
