Chapter 7 Brothers

/ 1

"I would never harm you, Shaina," says DeAndre, caressing my neck. I nod with a smile, knowing he speaks the truth
"I know," I agree. But the brother is right I must let him go.
"Not intentionally, touching the hunter's artifact has activated the curse," Theodore says sympathetically.
" Do you remember what happened in the last three hours?" Asks my brother sitting in his chair.
Andre shakes his head
"You killed three of the clan members, my love," I whisper, my calm voice surprises me, he shakes his head over again moving away from me, his lips trembling not knowing what to say. A lone tear escapes me at the sight of my love.
He is looking at his bloodied hands in disbelief. Hunters are not supernatural like us but they have speed, strength, agility, and a killer instinct for my kind, but there is a kind that is very lethal, and powerful, even more than vampires, the ultimate hunters. They are is a lot stronger than any supernatural.
Now that he has activated his Hunter's curse, as vampires call it, it's out of his control every fiber in his body will want to get rid of us, to protect the humans but not all vampires feed on humans, my clan doesn't, we are a very small a group of fifty-five or should I say fifty-two now. Watching over them is my family since we turned in our travel all over the world, some were on the verge of death, others were just willing to join us.
We are older than them, hence stronger.
Silence befalls the room, no one speaks even Amell, my brother is looking at us sympathetically, he knows what needs to be done.
Present time.
"Sister, meet Ethan Parker, our companies will be working together," I nod, giving him my hand and he kisses it gently while looking at me. Today my brother invited me to see the company, we are on the top floor where his office is.
" Nice to me you Shaina, you are indeed beautiful," heat runs to my cheeks at this handsome man's compliment. "I'm hoping to work with you," I smile, I've never been too involved in the company really, I leave all the work to our elder brother.
"Of course, no one knows the area better than her," my brother answers, we have been in this time for quite some time now and he mentions he's building a factory there.
