Chapter 2 Welcome back Home

I saw him today, I danced with him, he really doesn't remember so the spell and compulsion worked, compulsion alone couldn't work on him because he's the ultimate hunter, his power and aura is different from the other hunters we've come across, that's why when he activated his curse I knew he is one the ultimate, he's their descendant.

I smile thinking about him

His gaze on me was so intense and I drowned in it, look at me I've lived for almost more than centuries I should know better, but it's the way he looks at me, even after a century of no memory he looks at me with the same intensity that makes my lady parts wet and twitch.

We danced like we did the first time we met, his eyes on me the whole time.

We were so close I could feel his body warm and all I wanted to do was lean in.

Feeling his soft cherry lips on mine, I kept biting my lips hard I was afraid my body will betray me if I don't and he looked as handsome as I ever, only now he doesn't have a beard

"You saw him again didn't you?" I turn from the window to look at my older brother, Theodore. He comes towards me with a gentle smile and kiss my forehead

"It's dangerous, you shouldn't have," I frown at his words but I know he is right, he takes my arm as we walk downstairs to the party, it's for his company and he requested my presence. Really my brother is my biggest support system and unlike everyone in my family, he's very proper and sophisticated.

"All the women here are gawking you and sending glares my way," I say as we descend the stairs,

"Only because I'm with the most beautiful woman in the room," he answers, I smile, my brother is very well established, or maybe because he's had centuries to make money. Moving away from the main capital, my family founded this place and built a home in this town, when we found it was nothing but trees and a huge forest we named it Alcasia new town after our mother

We built it to what it is now, a town with wealth, tall buildings and now with a large population though not so big but perfect for us, most new settlers here are humans unlike us, so it's perfect.

They don't know what we truly are, all they know is that we are the original settlers' descendants and our family has been here for a long time.

When we reach the last stair, all eyes on us. I left home not too long ago now I'm back.

My brother goes to the center of the room and me by his side with a smile, he commands everyone's attention

"Well, thank you all for joining us today," he says smiling " my sister has been gone for a while now and this is a welcome back party for her," he informs the guest looking at each one of them, I gasp, I thought it was a business party.

" welcome home sister," he says raising a glass to me and with a kiss on my cheek. Everyone claps and my brother takes my arm introducing me to his business partners.

My brother has got buildings here and in the main city too and the CEO of Avraham group.

They all welcome me with smiles and start talking about business, I keep hearing numbers and expansion I know nothing of, I frown nudging Theodore and he understands, business is not my domain.

Excusing myself I go and interact with other guests who are very pleasant and friendly. To them, we are the wealthiest in the town and the founders.

I go outside for a night breeze all this politeness and having chit chat is so boring

I go to the stable, looking at the horses, my brother loves horses, I keep petting one.

"My lady! Welcome back," a deep soft voice startles me, I turn around with a smile, he bows a little.

" Shaina," I correct, he touches the back of his head, smiling down at me, he's looking very proper in a suit, he must have joined my brother's company.

"Miss Shaina," he says as if testing it out, I roll my eyes going to hug him.

"Messi, I missed you, big guy," he blushes looking at his shoes, I chuckle. He still hasn't changed, only his hair is shorter now and his brown eyes lighting and smiling genuinely happy to see me. We talk a bit filling me In on this while I was away.

My long time bodyguard leads me upstairs to my room, once I'm in, I let out a sigh taking off these painfully high heels and heading to the bathroom, a bath was already prepared for me getting in a lavender bath I relax surrounded by my favorite scent, letting sleep take over.
