Chapter 5 Fifth

Naya's POV

"So this is my shop and for now, I'll gonna trust it with you two," Miko announced after he opened his shop's door.

I thought it was small and not that too spacious after hearing what Miko said earlier. But this shop is not that small it is huge. Pretty spacious and elegant we're visible.

"You own this place?" Megan asked surprisingly and just like me, she's tracing the whole shop with amazement.

"Fortunately yes. I owned this place years ago as I decided to have my own business."

"You said it's a small place of yours but it's not tho," I demanded.

"Well, I guess it's only a joke of mine. What do you of me...poor?" I rolled my eyes at him.

Too proud huh?

"Ah, I forgot I need to go. Lots of works are waiting for me," he added.

"Where are you going?" Megan asked him as he walked through the door.

He turned his gaze." Actually I work as a luxury car dealer. So see you later and take care of my shop." he stated before closing the door.

Megan and I left and the silence envelopes the whole shop. Few moments pass before we decided to start our first-day of work.

We go first to the staff room and there we saw a pair of uniforms. It was a ski-toned uniform that I think would match us.

"Miko is an ideal man right Naya?" Megan asked.

"Uhm...yes.I mean he's an adorable and charming personality. Hardworking and epitome of kindness but with a lil bit of arrogance." she pouted.

"Yeah that's true but his arrogance is not a problem tho.In fact I found it a bit hot on his personality."

"You used to fantasize him Megan since we moved in here," I suggested.

She blinked her eyes and an evil grin showed up on her lips. "I think I like him Naya."

"Wait what?"

"I like him. I found him as an admirable man Naya." I rolled my eyes.

"Do you think he will like me too?" she asked.

I shrugged my shoulder. "I'm not sure..."

"What's with your not sure? You're my best friend aren't you gonna cheer me up or at least support me?" I laughed at her demands.

Yeah...Megan Suarez is the kind of girl who has lots of demands. You need to have long strings of your patience to befriend her. And if you're asking me if I'm happy as her friend, well probably my answer is half?

I mean... she's best friend material but one thing I got tired of as her best friend is her uncuttable demands. But over all, I am happy to be her friend and thankful also but please...her demands are an exception.

"Do I look good on here?" I looked at her full reflection on the human size mirror.

We're now both wearing the uniforms and I found it a bit tight on my body. I nodded at her before she gave me her jaw-dropping stared.

"What?" I doubtfully asked.

"Is that you Naya?"

"You're crazy? Of course, I am Naya."

"Uh yeah...but why life needs to be this unfair?" she took a seat without removing her gaze from me.

I curiously looked at my reflection but I haven't seen any problem that made her stared at me like that.

"Spit it, Megan. What's wrong with my clothes?" I asked curiously.

"Currently while I'm looking at my reflection, I praised myself because I look sexy on this uniform but upon seeing you? Damnit! I quit." she raised both hands half on the air as of she is a criminal being arrested.

"You look pleasant to Megan," I suggested but she shakes her head.

"Yeah I maybe look pleasant here but you're exceptional. That uniform hugged your figure perfectly as if it was made for yours only."

I shrugged. "You're just being exaggerated Suarez. Let's go outside and work our ass for this day." I walked first outside and I heard Megan's crunching footsteps on my back.

I turned first the door sign into open to start our day. I stand at the counter and made myself busy arranging the jewelry well as Megan. We also parted the work, I am assigned to thecustomerr while she was assigned the payments and fee.

"Good morning, ma'am. What can I do for you?" with a welcome smile I greeted our first customer.

"My friend recommended this shopton me when I'm lookingfort a necklace as a gift ,can you recommended me a good one?" she asked.

"For a boy or a girl?"

"For a fine lady Hija," she answered. Base on her accent I could clearly say that this woman in front of me is firm. The way she talked and her gestures as well as her attire shows elegance.

"Ah! I think this one is what you're looking for." I placed the first necklace as an example. It was a silver necklace detailed in jade stone.

"The stone is a real jade, ma'am so are you going to have it?" she took the necklace and carefully traces every inch of it.

"Can you wear it to yourself Hija?" she suggested as she gave me the necklace.

Awkwardly, I took it and wear on myself. I'm probably her basis to buy it so let's give it a try.

"I'll have it then." I immediately removed the necklace and put it back in its box. Geez...first sales achieved Naya!

"Thanks, Ma'am." she smiled.

After I assist the woman, I transferred her to Megan for the bill assistance. Few moments have passed and the door opened again.

"What are you looking for, Sir?" I assisted him.

"Gold pendant?" he said. Just like what I did earlier I showed him the examples and ended up leaving our shop with his chosen jewelry.

The man took quite a long time upon making his choice between different pendants. And at the end, he chose the Crescent Moon pendant with small stones as detail.

Actually, y that pendant is also my choice and I often looked at it while he was busy choosing. Fortunately, he chooses the right and adorable one.

The day passed quickly and when I looked at my wristwatch, the clock strikes seven in the evening.

"Gosh, this is kinda tiring day just like before in Siargao." Megan yawned beside me while we're waiting for Miko to fetched us.

"But in fairness, we got too many customers for this day and we sell many of our products. I told you my red dress is my lucky charm," she added.

"Yeah fine I believed you." I surrendered.

I walked through the door and change its sign. From open to close since we don't expect for the other costumers today.

While waiting for Miko, we changed our dress and finally my foot breath and relaxed.

Shit, I don't do heels, flats are better on it.

"You want?" Megan offered me a slice of cake we bought outside earlier.

I took my plates in and grabbed my fork. I stretched my back as I leaned myself on the softness of the couch.

While having our cakes Miko became the center of our conversation. Megan praised him so much and she even admits that she was willing to be Miko's girlfriend.

She's falling for him and the only I can do is to support her. Well...I can't object to it anymore. I couldn't stop her heart which beating for Miko.

Hopefully,y she won't be hurt like what happened to me . Uh...yeah like what my heartfelt right now.

"By the way, Naya, did you notice a guy earlier?" my brows knotted.

"Guy? We have too many customer guys earlier."

"I mean the one who's wearing the blue suit? The good-looking man before." I rest my hands on the table.

An image of a man flashes in my mind. I think I already know who she's talking to.

"So what's with him?" I asked.

"Idiot! Be observant Naya. I could see in his eyes that he is pretty interested in you. He stared at you quite long." she announced.

"You're just describing things out too exaggerated Megan."

"Nah... I'm stating the truth. If only you could see it by your own eyes, I told you he's into you."

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah fine." I didn't say anything.

"But I've done something that you'd probably got mad off." I glanced at her.

"And what is it?"

She smiled playfully. "Um... secret."

She left me dumbfounded in the staff room after we heard a car's engine. Unconsciously, the image of we talked a while ago flashed on my mind.

Honesty,y I noticed that he's gazing in my direction but I never pay attention. When I assisted him I smelled his manly fragrance and to it.

"Naya let's go my baby is here!" Megan shouted outside.

Wait, baby? Duh, that's advance!
