Chapter 3 Fallen princess

Sophia wakes up at seven o'clock in the morning and gets ready to meet Kathy. She needed to look pretty in today's banquet so it will take a long time to get ready which is why she got up early in the morning.

She usually only takes half an hour to get ready. But it's not a normal occasion after four years, she shows up in front of Harry, so she needed to be pretty. Of course, this is not only her intention.

The night before she went overseas, some people tried to ruin her face by throwing acid at her. Thanks to her brother, she made it through the worst of her life. She is certain Lisa is the one behind the incident.

Her brother, she has no clue how he's doing. She had no idea if he was alive or dead. She doesn't know what she has done to deserve this pain.

Anyway, she wants to take down Lisa in the looks department.

It's almost nine o'clock when she arrived at the cafe. Kathy is already waiting for Sophia whilst she drinks her coffee.

Sophia immediately noticed Kathy and went to take a seat. She ordered a hot cappuccino and she didn't eat breakfast, so she ordered cupcakes and cinnamon rolls.

As soon as she finished ordering Kathy said, "What takes you so long to come? Why are you not answering my calls?"

Kathy's been waiting for half an hour, but there's no sign of Sophia even her phone calls went directly to the voice mail. That's why she was worried.

Sophia checked her mobile and said with a silly smile "Sorry, my mobile is in silent mode and it's been years since I've seen this city, I just checked if anything's changed."

"Okay, don't make me worry again. I thought something had happened to you" Kathy said.

"Sophia Jones" before sophia can say something, there's a high pitched scream.She doesn't look around but she knows who's calling.

This is another friend from Sophia's childhood, Talia. She has pitch black hair and eyes. Her thin lips covered with lip gloss and she pouts at her friend who kept her in the dark about everything.

Actually, Sophia doesn't know that Talia is back in the city. Talia went overseas when she was only 16 and studied journalism. Her family is also pretty rich and they doted on her so much that they allowed her to do whatever she wanted. With his brother taking over the family business, she has no problem. After receiving a primary degree, she completed a four year course in abroad itself. Now she tries to enter the company without her family's influence.

With Sophia family's downfall there was no contact between them during those four years. But since Kathy is still in contact with Talia, she told Talia about Sophie's arrival.So she decided to come and give Sophie a bit of wit.

On the other hand, Sophia does not know how to handle Talia. She'll bite her every time she is upset like a dog. Before the day she went to abroad, she said to Sophia that she is going to miss her and she cried so much and bit her so hard that it left her teeth mark. Thinking about the pain a shiver run down Sophia's spine.

As predicted, Talia came by her side and bit her arm. She didn't bite her so hard, though. Sophia looked at her friend and said "Are you done, puppy?"

Kathy chuckled when she heard Talia's nickname. Talia lifted her head and glared at Sophia before asking "what did you call me"

"I've called you puppy is it a problem," Sophia said in a nonsense tone.

"If you dare to call me that again, I will bite you like a mad dog" Talia warned before huffing.

"As you wish mad dog" Sophia replied with a teasing smile.

"You..." Before Talia could finish her sentence, Kathy dragged her to the side to invite her to sit down.

Then Kathy said "Alright, You two stop bickering."

Kathy is a mature member of their group. Talia is more outgoing and outspoken one, Sophia used to be an introvert to strangers, chatter box to her closed ones and naive.

Following Kathy's words, they stopped bickering and started talking about their lives over the years.

They have so many things to talk about, but since they have to attend a banquet, they decided to go shopping to get ready.

Talia had something to do, she said goodbye to her friends and parted herself with them.

They went to parlour to get their facial and hair done. It took nearly four hours after that went to the shopping centre to pick a dress.

Sophia selected a bone white coloured lace dress with thin straps which costs four hundred dollars. If she didn't like this dress so much she wouldn't have wasted four hundred dollars. The dress perfectly complemented her figure and the sensation of the material on her skin is so comfortable. On the whole, she liked it very much.

Kathy has chosen a wine coloured off shoulder mermaid dress which costs six hundred dollars it hugs all her curves showing her perfect figure.

After both of them satisfied with their gowns, they went to counter to pay the bill.

Kathy doesn't know how Sophia has money even after all their property gone. She offered her money a couple of times, but every time Sophia refused. Even though she is curious, she never asked her how she got the money.

They went to Sophia's hotel room to get ready. It's already 5pm and the banquet is at 7pm. Kathy is good at makeup she helped Sophia to get ready.

It takes about twenty minutes to reach the venue and its already 7'o clock. But they don't care if they are late or anything.

Within twenty minutes they reached the banquet hall, which is conducted by Baker's group at their own hotel.

Baker's group also one of the company in top five companies in the city. There are so many important people will come here today.

They provided rooms to some important guests for tonight.

After Kathy parked the car, they went to the hall. The moment they entered, they drew the attention of people.

Sophia has been away for so long. So, at first they don't notice her all their attention on Kathy, who is sexy in the wine coloured dress. The first one to notice Sophia is Mia, Lisa's friend.

After taking a look at Sophia, she can't help but say " isn't this fallen princess"

Her voice so loud it attracted a lot of people after that they noticed Sophia, who is behind Kathy.

Everyone knows how she fell from the daughter of the richest men to orphan.

Under everyone's gaze and disdainful looks she walked into the hall like a Queen.
