Chapter 4 The New Boss

I didn't know how to react, my hands are shaking when our face closer I can feel his breathing on me then I slapped him. The only thing I had is the nightmares and anxiety he gave me, he slowly disappears on my face, goes back to driving and it was an awkward silence.

"You hate me that much?" He asked with bitterness in his tone, I didn't reply to him, I just give him a silent treatment.

"Just drop me here..." I said and he luckily obeys it without saying anything I opened the car door and closes it and ran away from him. I don't want contact or any connection related to him. While I was walking my heels broke off, I stopped find to the bench to sit when I found a small bench I sat on it looking at my shoes it was so old and dusty, I sighed I know what gonna buy on my first salary. I stand up again and put in again to walk on it and besides the condo's building is just walking distance, no need to worry. Walking carefully with my shoes, I arrived at the condo's building went inside the elevator, and drop off my shoes, and holding on my right hand using my free hand I pressed the 25th floor, the elevator opened after a second and goes to our condo, opening the door. I smell something fresh and vinegary and fish...? I sighed on the sofa, shutting my eyes for a bit. Wow! I am so exhausted in life... I think I used my hidden and energy for today?

I hear the steps going in my direction, I fixed my self and it was Kyla and another man also an Asian he looks like a Chinese or a Korean.

"Alisa! This Damon. He's a Chinese-Filipino, my... boyfriend," she introduced me to this guy, looking at the guy, a catch! He has beautiful eyes that made him cute, a pointed nose, he looks so regal, his fashion sense is on point, too! But... yesterday Kyla flirting with another guy on the bar! My mind saying shouting, I shooked my head smiling at him, and before accepted his handshake.

"It's nice to meet you," he said while we shaking our hands, smiling at each other, we break it afterward

"So...? Where you guys meet?" I asked, I sound interested in their relationship

"On Tinder," Kyla casually said, "I just try my luck on online dating, but look what I found... A meal." Kyla added and stare at Damon when she mentions meal and smirking at Damon and Damon seems shy compare to Kyla.

"Sus, Damon, hiya-hiya ka pa! Gusto mo rin akong kainin!" Kyla said in the fluently Tagalog and Damon's ear just turned red - he's blushing? That's all word for 'I love you

"Hoy... Please wag dito... Nakakahiya sa Kasama mo o!" Damon replied to her, all blushing, he felt the most embarrassed.

I just chuckled at their conversations in Tagalog, where are the subtitles?! Just kidding!

"So, anyway... Do wanna join us for a dinner? I am just simmering the Sinigang na Isda," Kyla persuades me, and I gladly accepted her offer.

"I am just going to my room, and change my clothes!" I excused myself and gets my things and climb to the stairs and walks to my room and opens my door and went inside my room. I flopped to bed and lays and rolls on my bed for few minutes before I changed my clothes and goes downstairs and seeing Damon and Kyla arranging the table for us to eat.

"So, I conclude that you know each other for 1 month or so?" I ask Kyla.

"Nah. It's been 3 days..." In the back of my mind, I was air-punching in the air, I am looking at them they're looking so "in love" for now...

I remember, my idea of love is so surreal when I was 19. Noctis is my first and last boyfriend. So, I have no idea when it comes to love, I always thought is just easy I saw in the movies or I read novels.

But it wasn't... It is a nightmare for me the first-hand experience.

"Let's eat?" Kyla asked, I nodded and gets the rice, put a handful of rice on my plate just enough to make myself full. I gave the cooked rice to Damon and put soup on my rice and get some fish. And started to eat quietly when Kyla sound bickering to her man and gets the pitch of water and fill up my cup and drink it.

"You okay, baby? You look pale..." Kyla asked, rubbing my hands and I just nodded, lazily smiles.

"I think... It was too exhausting! I think I wanna go for another jo-"

"What?!" Kyla said, cutting me off. "Did someone bully you in your workspace? Baby, did you know how many are jobless right now? It's been day one, you'll be fine, okay?"

I wanna quit my job because he knows it! I wanna an answer but I just shut my mouth and nodding to her.

"You want a medicine? You look pale." Kyla asked. I shooked my head

"No, thank you!" I replied and finished my food and excuse myself to have their alone time and went to my room again and I call Harvey when I was on my bed and he picks up immediately.

"Hey," I answered the call, smiling.

"Hey... How are you?" He asked he sounded so concerned. "And I have something to say." He added

"Me, too! This is important! Ah. Should I say this?" I said, doubting myself. If I tell him this, I will add up to his stress.

"Shit! What is it? I'm all ears, Ali!" He said. "And why you tell me this earlier?" He added.

"So, I started up with good news... I landed a job. Yey! This is my first time. But..." I trailed off

"But?" He waits for me to say something. I closed my eyes and biting my lips.

"Noctis is back. And he wants me again... What I should do?" I sounded so hopeless and I sounded whining.

He sighed heavily. "Do you want to have a restraining order from him? I can do that." He asked

"Is it that too much?" I asked.

"A bodyguard?" He asked.

"Hey, do you want to blow up my information?" I pouted. A bodyguard is too much, I remember having a bodyguard wherever I go they're always sticking to me which is irritating!

"You're the heir of the Grey." He said, proudly.

"I was. Remember, we are broke right now. My crown is dropped. I will never a princess..." I never chose to be born in the upper class it was handed to me. The trends I got all of it. Weekly brand new iPhone? Got it. But, when I ran off all of my own, wasted. When I watched our company is on the rock, tanked.

"You're making me confused, girl! You wanted my help then all of my options are discarded? Geez! Get a grip." he said, jokingly. "Make your mind choose what best for you. That's the safest and only advice I can give." He advised. "You okay there?" He asked.

"Yeah. Yeah. What you gonna say to me?" I tried to divert our topic.

"Well..." He started and smiling. "I'm coming home in three days!" His jaw drops and eventually happy for him. Because he is working hard on his modeling, he's been through a lot of things. Now, he's the brand ambassador of Givenchy. I'm proud of my boy!

"Really? Thank you! I'm excited to meet you and hold you!" I said, smiling. He yawns.

"Are you gonna sleep?" I asked. He nods.

"Well, it's 5 am in here. Goodmorning for me." He chuckles and laughs as well and we saying our goodbyes before he dropped the call.

I looked at the clock it was 9 pm. I decided to sleep right now, I feel my eyes felt heavy.

"There's too much to think... Why did he decide to come back? Rumors say he had a wife and kiss three years old... Something is weird," I said, self-talking, I shook my head and closes my eyes, and fell in slumber.

In my darkroom, the moon is my only shine, looking at that beauty while drinking my wine, I heard the door opened, I smiled.

"Sir. Here is the paper you want..." My investigator said, and drop the document on my desk, finished my wine, looked at him.

"Thank you, Johnson! Please, spy more on my beloved wife." I said, and he nods before going out in my room and gets her documents again, and opens them.

I smirked. I reached out of my phone and calls my secretary.

"Go to my office. Please, clean it for me before I go to the company." I said and cut out the call before she answered I get the bottle of wine and pour the liquor on my glass again. The redness of this wine like hers.

And, I want her again, either crook or a hook.

Early in the morning, I am irritated, going to a Cafe and there I saw her sitting on the chair with a cup of coffee in her hands and going to her sit on the chair opposite of hers.

"Good morning, my niece." she greeted, with a sarcastic smile. Yeah. Hate to break it because I am meeting with my aunt, how she did that? He forced my little brother or her will stop supporting his studies.

"What is it?" I said, frowning.

"Well... I wanna see your downfall. You look like a mess!" She laughs while pointing at me. "The princess became a pauper, how sad..."

I am trying not to pull out his hair.

"Your father is broke, your Mom is depressed. You're fucked right now." She grins. She continued to insult me and my family.

I smiled. "I'm pauper but still look like a princess... Auntie, how are you and your broke mistress? Did you forgot that slap?" I smiled. Wanna know a story? She became viral with 2.1M views. She became a mistress of a wealthy Chinese businessman because she is obsessed to became wealthy at all, and one day the businessman's wife caught them in the act and there was a commotion. The wife is really angry she wants to be in jail, because of my father... the case was settled.

I pressed the elevator and when inside and after a second it was opened and I go inside our office. And greeted my co-worker. And we saw Miss Mil with someone and Miss Mil entered first.

"Everyone, please welcome our new boss." Miss Mil said and a guy entered. And I widened my eyes. And my hands are shaking. I feel the fear inside coming back again.

"This is Mr. Noctis Nicolas Waters. Our new boss." Miss Mil introduced her. And I try to look at him. He smiles and looks so confident, looking handsome.

"Hi! I am Noctis, the new CEO. Let's work harder. Okay? Back to work guys." He smiles. And Miss Mil instructs us to sit down as we saw they exited in the office.
