Chapter 3 The preposition

mom fell unconscious the second she heard the news, we all rushed and pulled her up from the ground, moments later, after the doctor left, we waited for her to regain consciousness and when she did, her eyes falls on us.

Tori leaves the house being emotional, I know it hurts that father is no more but we had got to stay strong as a family, and I know father will be happy with that.

I rushed out of the house and saw Tori crying, as much as I would love to cry my eyes out, I just can't, because if we all start crying, who will console each other?".

My feet veered closer and I rested my hand on her back immediately gaining her attention, she tries to hid the fact that she cried, cleaning up the tears from her eyes.

"Yes sis, why are you here?" She smiles at me, and I know a happy smile when I see one.

"I am here because, I wanted to check up on you!". I answered back, removing a strain of hair from her eyes, she says "I am fine sis, i needed a breather that's why I am here, not to worry I'll be fine". (Her voices shakes).

If she says she was fine, then I have no option then believe her, i turned and took a step away, when suddenly she lets out behind me. "It's okay to cry Lisa!".

( I whierls my attention to her, retroting back) "who told you I want to cry, I am fine, and if I start getting emotional who will take care of you and mom?".

"Who will take care of us?" Tori veers close to gazing stright into my eyes, "how about you sis? Who will take care of you?" She copies back my words to me, idling to hear my response.

A weak smile pinns on my face, it's funny because, it is the first time some is asking me that, "I don't know Tori, how about you take care of me in return"..... I answered as she responds with a hug .

That subsequent day, I took a stroll around the streets, my mind wandered off, as I walked oblivious to my surroundings.

Unknowingly a car came out from no where and almost crushed me down.

"What the hell! Are you trying to get yourself killed?".

A man walks out of the car and the moment I liked my eyes to see who it was, I ran short of words.

"You?". I said .

"Yes! Me, lisa, what were thinking that me made you walk in the streets like a lunatic".

Alvin shouted at me, the same man I had an encounter with that very day, who also ended up being my father's business associate.

He blabs out, and kept talking, Alvin seems to be enjoying shouting at me, after all he know I cannot stand him.

"Enough Alvin? How dare you shout at me? Who are you and what's the hell do you want?".

Alvin watched and noticed that I was in no way mind settled in bakering words with him, he buffed out a deep breath before replying back to me he says and I quote, "I am sorry If my shouting got you upset and also my condolence, I heard you lost your dad, but I came here for a preposition, that you'll be interested in".
