Chapter 4 4

Mordak (Semrose's grandpa) walked to and fro in the living room, his silver hair strands were messy, he looked tired and anxious. The phone on the table hadn't rung in hours, his face had lost all colour, Semrose hadn't called him since she left the airport, she said she would be at the mansion in half an hour but it had been almost three hours and there was no news of her.

"Grandpa!? Why are you here?" A stern voice came from the door front, Mordak stopped his sudden steps and looked around to greet his grandson.

A guy about 6 foot tall walked in through the main door, he was casually dressed. His hair was not combed, they were roughly decorated in his forehead. He had a stoic face with sharp features. His keen eyes scanned Mordak as he walked closer to him.

"Is there something wrong? You don't look good," he said.

"Yes-everything is great, I was just exercising," Mordak replied as he swung his hand to and fro showing him how hard he was working out.

"Tell me," he spoke without much effort. Mordak glanced at his phone screen and then back at his grandson.

"Rose isn't picking up my calls," he spoke.

The unusually harsh expression in Miles' eyes suddenly melted and a frown appeared on his face. "Rose?! Why are you so worried? Isn't she shooting at this time?" He replied, and pulled out his cellphone.

"Gosh! She said not to tell you but she is back! -I spoke to her on the phone a while ago but there has been no news of her ever since-"

"Rose is back?!! And you didn't tell me?" Miles was disappointed, the disappointed expression on his face was enough to make one feel guilty for the rest of his days.

"She told me to do so! She wanted to surprise you." He replied with guilt.

Miles's lip trembled as if he wanted to say something hurtful but then stopped, "I will talk to you and Rose once I bring her back!" Miles spoke.

"Yes, yes, that's a great idea, let's do that once you find Rose! I am getting worried about her! Go find her." Mordak patted his shoulder lightly. Miles gave him a last angry glance and walked out of the mansion's door in a hurry.

"Sigh! Sometimes he acts like he is my Grandfather," Mordak muttered and sat in the couch with an exhausted face,

"But why did you bring her? Didn't I say bring me Noah? Did I ever say bring me a girl as well?"

"We had no choice! She was travelling with him, how could we kidnap one and leave the other? What if she reported us to the police?"

"Hm- that makes sense, but-" there was a sound of footsteps getting closer, and the guy continued, "Why is there a girl with him? Did he get into a relationship that fast?" The guy spoke in surprise.

"I don't think it's time to solve that mystery!!"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean the boss would be here any minute, and if he saw her here, do you know what will happen?"

"Oh no!! You are right!! What should we do? Should we hide her in the closet?" "No!! How about under the bed?! Nobody will notice her there."

The two men had a long conversation, Senrose heard their voices but was unable to get up as she was still not completely awake. Soon she felt like someone had grabbed onto her legs and hands and was being dragged somewhere. Finally she landed on the cold floor after which one of the guy's pushed her under the bed like she was some useless piece of rubbish that they couldn't swipe with the broom.

The door to the room opened and there was a sound of someone walking into the room. The two guys spoke with one voice.

"Welcome!! boss," the greeted him.

"Hm- I see you brought him here," The voice of the third person was very deep, one could sense that he was a handsome guy, even without seeing him.

Senrose twitched slowly as she slowly regained her consciousness.

"Nobody saw you, right?" He asked.

The two men looked at each other at the same time and then back at the guy in a full black suit. "Nobody saw us," they replied.

"Good, you can leave now. I will deal with him from here," he spoke.

There was a sudden silence in the room, the two men looked at the bed and gulped down their saliva.

"Are you not leaving?" He asked,

"Huh?! Oh! Yes we are," the men cleared the sweat off their forehead and walked out of the room.

Once again the room fell under deep silence. There was a sharp sound of a man walking. The man who had walked in a while ago had deep black eyes, he stared at the unconscious man on the chair for a few seconds before he patted him.

"Wake up!" He woke him up with a very tender voice,

"Huh?" The guy with the mask slowly opened his eyes and looked around. "Where am I?-" he muttered in a sleepy tone. "And where is the girl?" He suddenly became anxious.

"Girl? You have a girl?" The man asked.

"Where is she?!" He spoke out loudly.

"Stop acting like that, I know you have great acting skills but you can't fool me," he replied.

"Oh please!! Just tell me where she is, did your men-" he paused for a few seconds as he had a realisation. "Don't tell me they-" the masked guy got up and grabbed the guy's collars.

"There was no girl with you, and do you think I am some kind of thug to kidnap people?" He spoke.

"Why did you bring me here? What do you want from me?" The guy in the mask spoke in a deep voice.

"You know what I want, just sign this and we are good to go," he replied.

"Hah! You think you can force me? Do I look that easy?" He asked.

"You know I will not let you off the hook that easily," the man with a deep voice spoke.

'What the hell are they talking about? Are they really gangsters?' Senrose crawled out from under the bed and hid behind the sofa.

"Our contract expired last month, I don't want to continue working with you," he replied.

'Hah! I knew it, they worked together as gangsters, now the masked guy doesn't want to be a gangster anymore but the new guy wants him back!! This is so much like the thriller movies-but the only problem is that I am stuck here!'

Senrose cursed fate inwardly, she wanted to run away,

"That is why I want to renew the contract," he spoke.

"I don't want to, there is nothing there that interest me," he replied, "and one more thing! Ask your men where that girl is!! If they don't tell me where she is, I will make sure they suffer-"

"GRUMBLE!!"

'Gasp! You had to speak now?! Of all times!?' Senrose's stomach made a loud growl, the two men turned towards the sofa simultaneously. Both of them frowned,

"Did you hear that?" One of them asked.

"I thought I misheard that," the other replied.

"Who is there?! Get out or I will show you no merc-"

"NO! NO! NO! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!!" Senrose stood up with a crying face. She was wailing at the top of her voice.

"You were there?!" The guy who was still wearing the mask spoke with amusement.

"Why are you here?!" The other guy who seemed to have received the shock of his life started at Rose in daze.

Senrose's crying face changed into a confused one when she saw the man in black stare at her as if he knew her.

"Why am I here? What does that mean?You people brought me here!!" Senrose lifted one of her eyebrows.

"You know her?" The guy in the mask, took off his cap and removed his mask revealing a familiar face. Senrose, who was in a full mood to fight back, was left with a shocked expression when she saw who the guy under the mask was. While the man in black was in daze when he saw Senrose.
