Chapter 4 Such A Man Doesn't Deserve You

Aria was in deep sleep, having gone to bed late last night, when she was startled awake by the sudden knock on the door. She rubbed her eyes and walked to the door before opening it.

Dominic pushed the door open and walked in, Vicky trailing after him.

"Dominic?" In an instant, Aria came to her senses.

"What are you doing here?"

"Aria! If not here, then where else would Dominic be? At the Yan Mansion? When we heard the news about you and Mr. Reid of the Qin family, Dominic couldn't believe that you could do such a thing, but judging by where you are right now, I don't think he feels the same way anymore. This is the room that Mr. Reid booked for the long term at this hotel. Do you still want to say that there's nothing going on between you and him? Who will believe you?" Vicky's contemptuous tone only helped to add fuel to the fire, just as she had intended.

Aria looked at Dominic with an innocent shimmer in her eyes and said, "Do you really think I'm that kind of woman?"

"Aria, please just explain to me what this is about. I will listen to you." Dominic wouldn't have been there in the first place had it not been for Vicky, who practically dragged him there. It was also Vicky, together with his younger sister, Robyn Chu, who invited him for a vacation just two days ago.

"Really? If you trust me, then what are you doing here? Did you come to catch me in the act?" With a look of disappointment on her face, Aria turned around and sat down on the sofa. "Look around you! Do you see someone else in this room?"

Dominic tried to say something, but just as he opened his mouth, Vicky spoke out. "Aria! Don't pretend to be innocent. We have all read the newspaper and we know what's going on! If you're hooking up with another man, just tell Dominic. Why do you have to lie to him?"

"I have nothing to say to you. Since there's nothing else for you to say as well, please leave!" Aria sounded very serious.

"Oh, don't worry about that. We're leaving right now! Who do you think you are? Do you think you're better than everyone else just because you hooked up with Mr. Reid of the Qin family?" Vicky grabbed Dominic's arm to storm out of the room with one final remark.

However, Reid appeared at the door just then. "Did I hear someone mention my name? Gosh! I must be really popular. What is it this time? Hello, Miss He, did you wish to speak with me?"

Aria's eyes drifted to Reid, who was standing there in nothing but a black robe. Couldn't this man just be normal sometimes? Why hadn't he changed his clothes yet?

Despite him being dressed in only a robe, Reid was still charming and handsome as ever.

Dominic's face changed at the sight of Reid almost immediately.

At first, he was willing to believe in Aria, but that all changed the moment he saw Reid standing at the door in his robe.

"Aria, is there anything else you would like to say?" Vicky smiled, as her plan had worked out perfectly. She only wanted Dominic to see that there was something going on between Aria and Reid, so that he would fall out of love with Aria completely.

Reid walked up to Aria and put his arm around her waist. "Honey, did they wake you up? They really don't know how to behave properly in these situations."

Aria tried to pull his hand away, but Reid tightened his grip. She raised her head and stared at him with confusion, as if to ask him what he was trying to do.

"We're sorry to bother you." Dominic looked at Aria and said, "Aria, you disappointed me."

As she watched Dominic and Vicky walked out of the room together, the expression on Aria's face changed.

"What's wrong? Why do you look so sad? Come on, a man like that doesn't deserve you. Between the two of us, I think you are better off with someone like me." Reid really enjoyed riling Aria up.

Last night, he spent the night in the next room because he didn't want to go home. Despite the short notice, the manager was happy to give him the room after he had made just one phone call. After all, the rooms in this floor were only reserved for rich, young men who wouldn't mind paying double if needed.

Reid wasn't expecting to be woken up by so much noise in the early morning, especially not from the next room. The man didn't have many hobbies, but he sure enjoyed watching people's drama.

"Reid Qin, this is none of your business." Aria raised her foot and gave him a kick on the shin, before she yelled out, "Get out! I don't want to see you!"

"How can you treat me like that? I just helped you out!" Reid got pushed out of the room by Aria, who shut the door behind him with a loud bang.
