Chapter 10 How Can You Force Me To Marry Her

Reid picked Aria up and carried her into the bathroom. He then took off her clothes which were soaked in vomit, and threw her under the shower.

As soon as the cold water touched her skin, a cry escaped Aria's lips. She was so drunk that she could barely stand straight. She immediately slipped and fell on the cold floor.

Reid didn't want to be too kind to her. But although he had been with many beautiful women, he always softened whenever he was faced with a drunk woman whose body felt weak and feeble in his arms.

He reached for a bathrobe and threw it over Aria's shoulders before carrying her to bed.

Only after he had tucked her in did he smell the stench of vomit on his own shirt. He finally stepped into the bathroom to take a shower.

That night, Aria had trouble sleeping soundly as she kept having the same nightmare. But sensing Reid's presence by her bedside, she unconsciously reached for his hand for comfort.

Reid watched over her until he too fell asleep around dawn.

The doorbell rang early the following morning. Woken from his slumber, Reid reluctantly stood up to get the door.

It was Roland.

"Grandpa, why are you here?" Reid asked with surprise.

"I'm here to see you and Aria!" Unknown to the two, Roland had been keeping an eye on them since they came to the resort. What happened the night before was reported to him by the staff.

He dropped by to confirm what was in Reid's mind at the moment.

But Roland didn't expect that he would catch his grandson wearing nothing but a robe. It didn't help that Aria walked out of the room in a daze at that exact moment, also clad in a bathrobe.

"It seems I came too early," Roland said, embarrassed.

"Grandpa, you..." Reid didn't know how to explain everything. "You came too early. Why are you even here?"

Aria immediately turned her gaze to the old man as soon as she heard Reid call him Grandpa. She knew exactly who he was.

"Grandpa Roland, it's nice to finally meet you. I just need a quick change of clothes. Please excuse me." She quickly slipped back into the room and looked at her reflection in the mirror. 'What happened last night?' she wondered as she realized that she was only wearing a bathrobe. She could only remember that she had too much to drink, but she couldn't recall anything else. She couldn't even remember why Reid was there and why he was also wearing a robe.

Did the two of them...

Aria shook her head and tried not to think too much. Her head still ached because of the hangover.

She quickly changed her clothes before joining the men in the living room.

Roland nodded with satisfaction as soon as he saw her. "Aria, come here and sit with me."

Unable to refuse the old man, Aria walked to the sofa and sat down beside him.

"About your marriage with Reid, let's discuss it with your grandfather and father as soon as they have time." Roland felt truly happy at the thought of his grandson getting married.

"Grandpa, how can you force me to marry her?" Reid obviously didn't share Roland's joy. How could he make this decision without consulting him?

"What are you saying? I'm not forcing you to marry. You've been with Aria the whole night. You're not planning to abandon your responsibilities towards her, are you?" Roland firmly shook his head.

Reid considered that he had been set up again. And at that moment, it seemed as if he had no choice but to agree.

When Roland finally left, Aria turned to Reid, who wore an inexplicable expression on his face.

"I didn't know that things would turn out like this." She didn't expect that Roland would visit them in the resort so early in the morning.

Reid reached out a hand and raised her head by her chin. "This was what you wanted, right?"

But before Aria could respond, he had already left.

It didn't take long before Aria decided to leave the resort and go home to the Yan Mansion. It was quiet in the house when she arrived. Milton was nowhere in sight. It seemed like he really didn't care about the Yan family at all.

"Miss, you're back!" The servant, Candice Lin, called out from the backyard as soon as she saw Aria.

"They're not here, are they?" Aria asked as she looked around the villa.

"Oh, Miss Yan, I can see that Yan Group is not doing well currently. The mansion has even been mortgaged. But I've watched you grow up and have taken care of you since you were little. I will follow you wherever you go." Candice Lin felt sorry for her.

Speechless, Aria could only promise that she would do everything to keep the family mansion.
