Chapter 2 We Don't Owe Each Other (Part Two)

The truth was, she didn't know what to say.

Everyone in the church looked at Barry Nan and Lea Xiao curiously. They exchanged questioning glances, but no one dared to speak. They just held their breaths and continued watching them.

"Are you satisfied with my answer?" Barry Nan asked mockingly. He then took a step back, stood in front of Lea Xiao, and looked at her face. His condescending posture made him look more elegant.

But there was an indescribable hatred in his eyes.

Even if he was able to destroy the Xiao family successfully, he was not satisfied.

What else did he want?

He also didn't know the answer. Even he couldn't understand why he was still unhappy after making the Xiao family suffer.

Instead, his chest felt so heavy as if a big solid rock was pressing it.

Did it have something to do with Lea Xiao?

Had he fallen in love with his nemesis?

He dispelled such thought quickly and looked at her expressionlessly.

She took a deep breath and brushed away her tears with the back of her hand. She forced herself to smile and said, "Yes. You have given me a very good answer. At least, I understand now. Also, thank you for teaching me not to trust someone easily again because I will only end up hurting myself with my stupidity."

Barry Nan didn't say anything. He felt like his heart suddenly twitched inexplicably, and he couldn't breathe.

"I guess we're even now. From now on, the Xiao family doesn't owe you anymore," she added. She then glanced at him coldly and turned around. Under everyone's gaze, she left the church with firm steps.

Her receding back was like a painting that was left in his memory.

One thing was for sure.

He could never erase her name from his life forever.

One year ago

The pale moonlight that peeped through the curtains fell on the woman's face, who was sleeping soundly in the bed. From the way she slept, no one could seem to bear looking straight at her.

She looked so messy, as saliva flowed out of the corner of her slightly opened mouth wantonly, and wetted half of the pillow. Her hair was in a mess on both sides of her shoulders. It was such an ugly view to look at.

The man standing beside the bed twitched his mouth as he looked at the woman. He couldn't believe that a strange woman would be lying in his bed after he came back from a month's business trip.

And he wasn't even sure if she was really a woman.

Yes, she had the face of a woman. But as for the way she slept, she was way far from being one.

The man felt like his legs were tied, and he couldn't move.

His face was full of disdain and disgust.

But still, his dark eyes looked so charming, and his tightly pursed lips were incomparably sexy.

After calming himself down, his two perfect long legs walked towards the edge of the bed. Although the lights in the room were off, he could see the woman's face clearly through the moonlight.

She had soft eyebrows, long and thin eyelashes, thin pink lips, upturned nose, and long curly hair.

'Is she really Lea Xiao?'

the man thought to himself. He sat on the edge of the bed, frowning slightly. But his right hand subconsciously moved to touch the woman's soft face.

The woman suddenly opened her eyes, and his hand froze.

In an instant, the man was kicked off the bed.

He wasn't prepared because he didn't expect it to happen. In his entire life, this was the first time that a woman kicked him off his bed.

Was this really happening to him now?

Barry Nan pursed his lips and puckered his face. He couldn't help cursing while standing up awkwardly. Fortunately, the floor was covered with soft thick carpet, so it wasn't that painful when he fell.

Despite what happened, he was still able to maintain his inherent elegance and nobility.

He straightened up his clothes and said coldly, "What the hell did you do?"

He gritted his teeth, obviously pissed off. His face was overcast with anger, and his chest was rising and falling.

His dark eyes stared at Lea Xiao, who was also glaring at him.

Lea Xiao learned Taekwondo when she was a child. She also went to a martial arts school to learn female self-defense skills. Knowing that she had beauty, she was afraid that some men would harass her, so she learned to protect herself.

Indeed, men got scared of causing trouble for her.

Since she was a light sleeper, she felt that someone was touching her face and she woke up.

The moment she opened her eyes, she saw an unprecedented handsome face. She panicked and subconsciously kicked the man who just took advantage of her while she was sleeping.

How dare he touch her while she was asleep! Although he was the most handsome man she had ever seen, she would never tolerate it.

She had kept her virginity for more than twenty years, and no man could ever take it unless with her permission.

But as she looked at his face, all she saw there was disdain. He didn't seem interested in her at all.

Confused and intimidated by his strong aura, she stammered, "Well... aren't you... the one who started it?"

Barry Nan felt like laughing.

It was he who started it?! This woman must be kidding him. He would never get interested in such a woman like her.

He looked at her and said indifferently, "Get out."

'Get out?'

She then asked in confusion, "Why are you telling me to get out?"

Obviously, she had not realized that he owned this villa.

He was so angry that he glared at her for a long time. Eventually, he was the one who walked out of the room. This woman was giving her too much trouble, so he wanted to stay away from her. When he was already outside, he called her brother.

"What's wrong?" Mike Xiao asked as soon as he answered the phone. He had no idea what was going on.

"I just came back from a business trip and saw your sister in my house." Barry Nan couldn't help rolling his eyes as he spoke.

"Well, didn't you promise me that you will train her? It's good then that she is in your house now," Mike Xiao replied calmly. Actually, he was a little annoyed. He thought that Barry Nan called him in the middle of the night for something important.

'Perhaps Barry Nan never had a young woman in his house before, so he is a little culture-shocked,' Mike Xiao thought.
