Chapter 5 Meeting Nat for the First Time

The phone in Susie's' pocket suddenly rang violently. Startled, she quickly took out her phone.

It was a call from the hospital!

With her heart beating violently, Susie picked it up and said anxiously, "Hello, this is Natalie Su's mother."

"What type of parent are you? You were totally gone after you had taken her here! We tried our best to reach you but failed. If this phone call didn't work, we are ready to call the police. Your daughter is having a high fever now and is in critical condition. Come to the hospital as soon as possible!"

"Okay, okay, I'll be right there! Please save her! Please save her no matter what it takes!"

After hanging up the phone, Susie grasped Raymond's hand tightly and said, "We don't have time now! Raymond, please, please go to the hospital with me! Even if you really hate me and don't want to save her, please go to the hospital with me so she could see you for the last time! She has been asking me who her father is! She longs for seeing her father all these years."

Raymond couldn't believe it. He could hardly control his emotions.

"If she is really my daughter, why wouldn't I save her?"

Raymond pulled her into the garage, got on a car closest to them and drove her towards the hospital.

Standing at the door, Colin was shocked by what he had seen! He had been standing there as soon as Susie had rushed out. 'The reversal of the episode seemed to be a little fast! Should I follow them and stay tuned with what happens next?'

For watching fun, Colin rushed into the garage, started a car and chased after them.

Raymond speeded the car as if he was driving a plane. "Which hospital is she in?"

"Lin's Hospital."

Raymond pressed his lips and didn't say anything more. He directly drove over.

Colin followed them and called a friend excitedly, "Bess, come back to China. You have to come back soon! Extremely good news!"

Bessie Leng, who was on a holiday in Hawaii, was lying on a beach chair and drinking red wine. She felt totally relaxed.

"Colin? What extremely good news? What are you talking about?"

"Well, you have a niece!"

Bessie Leng spat out a mouthful of red wine, "Breaking news indeed! Doesn't my brother have erectile problems, does he?"

Colin's hand trembled and his car almost hit the green belt on the roadside. "Raymond is your brother, Bess. What a comment! If your brother knows what you said just now, what would happen?"

"Forget it. Please tell me, who is the powerful woman dares to have a baby with my brother! By the way, has the baby been born? Is it beautiful? Holy smoke! I have become an aunt now! What gift should I buy for her?"

"For the gift, it's all up to you! But I have to remind you that your niece is four or five years old now. Think about it before making the decision!"

Bessie was a little confused. Why as soon as she got know she has a niece and the little girl was already four or five? Was it because she was not good at math? Why couldn't she calculate?

"Come back quickly. Maybe we can enjoy a good show!"

"I'm packing up and going back home right now!"

A luxury supercar suddenly stopped at the gate of the Lin's Hospital. After pushing the door open, Susie rushed inside.

Raymond stopped the car and ran after her. He took her hand and they ran to the emergency room together.

The door of the emergency room was tightly closed. Susie rushed to the door and knelt down on the ground desperately and helplessly.

"Nat, you must be fine! I have lost everything. I can't lose you anymore! You must wake up!"

Susie murmured. She curled up like an injured kitten on the ground.

Standing behind her, Raymond looked at her silently. No matter how ruthless this woman had been to him, at least she was sincere to this child.

If this child was really his, could she really be this indifferent and calm as now?

Colin followed him closely. From a distance, he saw that although Raymond seemed to be standing there as if nothing had happened, his slightly trembling hands betrayed him.

It seemed that Raymond had believed what Susie said and thought the girl inside was his daughter.

If it was true, it seemed that Raymond would not let Susie go!

All of a sudden, the door of the emergency room was opened. Susie jumped up. She looked at the doctor nervously and asked, "Doctor, how is my daughter now? Is she alright?"

The doctor sighed and shook his head. "Now we have done our best. What we can do now is to wait and see upon her own destiny! If a suitable bone marrow couldn't be found for her to transplant within a week, she would have to wait for the death!"

The doctor's words were undoubtedly a huge blow to Susie. She dropped her hands desperately.

A small girl on the sickbed was pushed out of the emergency room by the nurse. Susie rushed forward in a hurry. Looking at her daughter's pale face, Susie felt as if a knife were piercing her heart.

After returning to the ward, Susie fetched a basin of water and quietly wiped Nat's face gently.
