Chapter 8 Return

Although Marilyn hated the overbearing life arranged for her by Kendrick, she had to admit that she had gradually become accustomed to this way, and even the nutritious meal that she had disliked had become her habit.

Marilyn seized the opportunity to sneak out to see her father. Seeing his condition getting better and better, she sighed.

Of course, all this was based on the fact that Kendrick, the one she had forgotten, hadn't come back from his business trip!

One day, Marilyn woke up early in the morning because of the noisy footsteps of the servants.

According to their low and nervous conversation, Marilyn understood that the owner of the villa, Kendrick, was coming back.

It was not until then that Marilyn realized that she was a married young woman, and her husband, who had just been on a business trip, had come back.

This thought sent a shiver down Marilyn's spine, and the temperature around seemed to have dropped more than ten degrees. Just as she shivered with goose bumps, the door of her room was pushed open by a servant with a pale face.

Holding a dress in her hand respectfully, she stumbled in and said, "Please change your clothes and go to the Royal International Hotel, Madame. Mr. Kendrick is waiting for you."

Puzzled, Marilyn took over the clothes. Did Kendrick knew that she was tortured by eating tasteless nutritious food all day long, and decided to treat her to feast as he came back?

"Did he say why?"

As soon as Marilyn finished her words, the servant ran out like a gust of wind. While running, she shouted to the outside, "Get the driver be ready. Madame has already got up. She will arrive in about two hours!"

Holding the clothes in her hand, Marilyn was stunned. Did Kendrick usually go out in this situation? She felt that the servants were so nervous just now, and treated her as a prime minister.

The dress was a white dress, outlining Marilyn's exquisite waist, which made her more petite and lovely, and her whole body become gentle.

As soon as she put on her clothes and walked out of the door, she was immediately brought to do makeup and hairdressing. It was not until Marilyn was about to fall asleep that the makeup finally announced that she could leave.

"Do you want me and Kendrick to attend the three party meeting?" The servants followed Marilyn into the car. As soon as they sat down, Marilyn said helplessly.

Marilyn didn't dare to show too much expression on her face. She didn't like makeup. She always felt that the foundation on her smiling face would fall down like flour.

"Madame, Mr. Kendrick has invited your father to have a meal together today. Of course you have to dress up in such an occasion." The servant smiled with respect, "Madame, you look gorgeous today."

Marilyn didn't care about her praise. The servant's last sentence seemed to give her a stick in the head. Her brain was buzzing and she couldn't hear anything.

'How could this bastard got contact with my father behind my back?' Did he know that she had sneaked out to see her father? Was he going to punish her publicly in front of her father today?

She had lied her father so many times. If Kendrick saw him, everything would be exposed, wouldn't it?

She must arrive at the hotel before things got worse!

Marilyn said in a hurry, "Hurry up! Try to arrive at Royal International Hotel as soon as possible! "

The servant comforted her with a smile, "Don't worry, Madame. Mr. Kendrick asked you to arrive before twelve o'clock. He said he would wait for you. It's only half past ten now."

"No, the earlier, the better."

"It's said that absence makes the heart grow fonder. Mr. Kendrick has been on a business trip for three months, and Madame wants to see him so much." The servant was still flattering her.

However, to Marilyn, this flattery sounded ridiculous. She gritted her teeth and squeezed out a few words, "Yes, I'm anxious to see him and twist his head off."

Although that was all she wanted now.

The servant's face turned pale at once. She stared at Marilyn in disbelief and said, "Madame, what do you mean?" It was too outrageous!

Before she could finish her words, the car stopped at the door of the hotel in a perfect posture.

Although Royal International Hotel didn't sound like a decent hotel, it was the largest five star hotel in S City, and its service and food were the best in S city.

Moreover, the boss here was very mysterious. It was said that he came from an excellent family and had a very strange character. In his eyes, all the rich people in S city were worthless, so he didn't bother to receive them at all. Therefore, people who came here either have social status or have money and power.

Therefore, this place became the place where a lot of so-called celebrities in S city would come even if they tried their best.

The waiters at the entrance of the hotel and the lobby manager were all in a neat line, waiting for Marilyn respectfully.

Marilyn thought to herself, 'Kendrick is quite famous. How could he ask the lobby manager to welcome him?'

It was said that the lobby manager of this place was much tougher than the boss of other hotels.

As soon as Marilyn got out of the car, the lobby manager rushed up and held her arm. "Please come in. Boss Kendrick is waiting for you inside. He is on the second floor."

It was said that many hotels' managers would called their customers boss, which could show that their high status. Marilyn didn't feel strange, but nodded slightly.

The lobby manager carefully sent Marilyn to the second floor and left quickly.

"It's only eleven o'clock. I didn't expect you to be punctual." Kendrick smiled.

Instead of answering his question, Marilyn turned to look at her father. Seeing that his gaze at her was calm, Marilyn felt much relieved.

Maybe Kendrick just invited her father to dinner as her boss and didn't say anything.

Just as Marilyn was frantically comforting herself in her heart, Kendrick pulled out the chair for her and whispered in her ear word by word, "Your father has agreed to our marriage."

Marilyn shivered as if she had got a shock. She stared at the fearless Kendrick with her eyes wide open.

"I had a good time with your father. I was afraid that you would be bored at home, so I invited you to our dinner. What would you like to eat?"

Kendrick's tone was very gentle, but only Marilyn knew that it was his mask.

In order to make her go back and beg him, he didn't even care about her father's life!

Marilyn was about to slap the desk and stand up to question him. However, Kendrick's hand on her shoulder tightened a little. He said in an extreme voice, "Be quiet if you want me to perform the agreement."
