Chapter 7 The CEO's Brother And Sister

With a genuine smile on his face, the man looked elegant. He was another captivating man, and Kate couldn't help praising him in her mind.

Judging from their interaction, obviously they were a family.

"Who is this young lady?" asked the man in a shallow voice when he caught a glimpse of Kate.

Hearing what the man said, Lily Li also turned her eyes to Kate. The latter kept her graceful smile to the younger girl. But to Kate's surprise, Lily Li just gave her a cold stare, as if they were rivals from past life.

Being gazed upon by such eyes, Kate couldn't help but feel a slight chill in her back. 'Does this girl have a brother complex?' Kate felt weirded out.

"Yes, Brian, who is she?" When Lily Li looked at Brian, her eyes were so pure and compassionate.

Again, Kate was speechless. She didn't expect that being moody in the Li's family wasn't unique to their grandmother, but it had been inherited by Brian's younger sister.

"She's your sister-in-law," introduced Brian casually. There was no word of pampering or detestation shown to his little sister

"What?" Lily Li looked at Brian in surprise, doubtful.

The other man, Colin Li, also frowned and looked at Kate. He was trying to dig something out from her. Kate kept smiling, looking prim and proper.

"Which family is she from? Why haven't I met her before?" Colin Li asked lightly, as if those were just casual questions.

But his questions made Kate tongue-tied. 'Should I tell him that I'm the daughter of the Luo family?' Kate thought to herself.

Lily Li turned to look at Kate again upon hearing Colin Li's questions. The fierce look in her eyes made Kate tremble. Kate opened her mouth, and she had no idea whether to tell the truth or make up a story.

After a moment of hesitation, she eventually cast a glance at Brian, but the man's eyes were closed and he held an arrogant expression on his face. It was obvious that he didn't want to talk about anything. Kate lowered her head and said in a timid voice, "I'm Kate, the daughter of the Luo family."

"Luo family?" Lily Li questioned closely.

"If you're not going to have dinner, then just go home," uttered Brian indifferently, rubbing his forehead.

Hearing this, both Colin Li and Lily Li stopped talking. But the girl still didn't stand up from Brian's arms. That made Kate feel rather uncomfortable and more persecuted. As Brian's sister and brother were here, she was too afraid to say or do anything.

Kate raised her head and glanced at Brian. He pushed his younger sister to the seat beside him expressionlessly and then picked up the knife and fork sophisticatedly.

Seeing this, Kate felt delighted in her heart. She had been waiting for this moment as she finally could have dinner.

"Brian, is she really my sister-in-law? Look at her! She is eating like a savage woman. How can she be worthy of being my sister-in-law?" complained Lily Li in a soft, spoiled voice while she held one of Brian's arms. For several times, she glared at Kate with disgust.

Even though she was aware that the younger girl was Brian's sister, Kate still felt strange that they were so intimate. Besides, Lily Li didn't look like that she was looking at her sister-in-law. She seemed to have taken her as her rival in love.

Was this the normal behavior of girls who had a brother complex?

Was their fake marriage not only for comforting his ill grandmother, but also for this lovely little sister?

When Kate was thinking about this, Brian suddenly shot a casual glance at her. Then, she immediately stopped looking at Lily Li and began to have her meal.

"Brian, why are you ignoring me?" asked Lily Li in a sweet voice, while swaying Brian's arm more aggressively. Still, he didn't respond.

Kate got goose bumps and couldn't help but sigh for Lora in mind. 'It turns out that boss likes sweet girls. Lora isn't that type of woman at all, ' she thought.

"Lily, it's inappropriate for you staying out late. You should be in your dorm right now." Putting down the tableware gently, Brian gazed at Lily calmly. As he sat with his back to the lotus-shaped lamp, his features were more sculpted and angular.

But his tone was so harsh that no one dared to look at his pretty face. While eating, Kate was slightly amused watching their family affairs. Judging from her appearance, Lily Li should be a college student.

Hearing that her brother's strict voice, Lily Li lowered her head as tears welled up in her eyes. "Tomorrow is my birthday. We will have a party. Have you forgotten it?" she explained, gripping Brian's sleeve.

Her miserable and pathetic tone made people feel sorry for her. However, Brian wasn't a person who had a tender heart. He just answered "Yes" as if he didn't care about it at all.

Kate cleared her throat and thought to herself, 'Boss must be very busy that he even has forgotten his sister and lover's birthday.' In Kate's mind, she had already been considering Lily Li as Brian's lover.

"Brian, you're so forgetful. Remember to go home tomorrow, alright?" Lily Li was used to Brian's attitude. She was now clinging to him desperately.

Looking at the siblings, Kate felt like sitting on pins and needles, and couldn't enjoy the delicacies.

Kate had intended not to leave until they had gone, but they didn't seem to want to leave at all. As a hothead, she couldn't wait anymore. Raising her hand to interrupt their conversation, she said with sparkling eyes, "Uh, I have something to deal with at home. So, I really have to go now."

"Let me drive you back," Brian responded to her positively and stood up at the same time.

Kate also stood up excitedly.

However, Lily Li smiled at Brian and said, "I want to go with you too."

As she spoke, she also stood up. Kate was completely confused. Now, she was 100% sure that Lily Li had an unusual relationship with Brian.

Hearing what she said, Brian took a look at Colin Li. The next second, the younger man grasped the girl's wrist, and said with a dashing smile, "Be obedient, and go home with me."

"But..." Discontented, Lily Li stared at Kate's face and gripped Brian's arm.

As always, Kate didn't intrude with other people's family affairs. Therefore, the dissatisfaction in Lily Li's eyes was nothing to her.

When Kate was looking at them with interest, Brian pried Lily Li's hand open and walked towards Kate.

'Oh my god! Has boss noticed my expression?'

Kate lifted her head and smiled at Brian. Before she could say anything, Brian's face was already closer to hers. Unexpectedly, a kiss was planted on her forehead.

Her boss kissed her?

Brian kissed her!

Kate's brain was buzzing that she failed to react for a while. She became quite motionless, standing like a log.

"Honey, it's time to go." Brian slightly smiled and held her in his arms.

As soon as she was held by Brian, Kate was shocked again. She felt as if in a dream. Completely losing her train of thought, she just followed Brian, and she could no longer see anyone or anything around her.

It was not until the car had arrived in the Faraway Community that she gradually came back to her senses. There was only innocence in her originally lively eyes. She looked at Brian blankly and asked, "What was it just now?"

As soon as she asked that, she even wanted to give herself a slap. How could her arrogant boss answer her question? However, she really wanted to know why Brian kissed her. They just knew each other for two days, and they hadn't even held hands. Why did he suddenly kiss her?

Hearing her question, Brian didn't get annoyed. Instead, he turned to look at Kate, and kissed her again "That's it," he replied with a smile.

Hearing his words, Kate realized that this kiss was due to what she had asked him.

But... She had never been kissed before tonight! Kate had mixed feelings and was somehow upset.
