Chapter 5 Move!

"Father, what do you want me to grill for you?" Raven asked as she approached her father, who was still just casually observing them.

"Anything is okay with me, little Raven," Senior Choi smiled at her as he lightly patted her head. "You'll be on your own for several years. We won't see each other as much by then..." His eyes dimmed as he thought of his daughter leaving.

Noticing his distress, Raven held her father's hand. "Father, I'll make sure to come home during school breaks. And we'll talk every day via video call. I promise," she promised with a wink at her father.

It was then that Chad walked towards them, a plate filled with various barbecued items in his hand as he approached. "Sir, I wasn't sure what you preferred, so I just put a variety of items here for you to choose from," he smiled as he then placed the plate down on the table in front of him.

'The boy knows how to woo the family," Senior Choi inwardly commented. 'Not bad at all.'

The dinner went on well. Before long, Sheena and Yan eventually took out the alcoholic drinks as they planned to get drunk for the whole night.

At the sight before him, Senior Choi shook his head. "Nanny Rong, how nice it is to be young again...."

He was happy, watching his little Raven enjoy the bonfire while drinking with her friends. The group sat around the fire as they talked about the crazy, funny, and wild stories of things that happened in their past years. Intently, the two adults listened to all of the chatter, sitting on comfortable chairs opposite the kids.

A few minutes passed, and Senior Choi noticed that Chad was always more attentive towards Raven compared to the other two girls. Somehow, he always stayed beside his little Raven.

Once again, Senior Choi took out his phone and snapped another shot.

'This one's even better,' he inwardly smirked. In the picture, Chad was staring at Raven, sitting close to her with his eyes full of admiration and affection towards her.

Sending it once again, he waited for an inevitable response from his aloof son. He had already sent several photos and had yet to receive a response.

'Let's just see how long you can last, you brat,' Senior Choi let out a clever laugh in his mind.

Nanny Rong, meanwhile, could only speculate as to why he was acting that way. 'Crazy old man....'

Jordan's important meeting had just finished at around seven o'clock in the evening.

"Sir, your flight is at seven-thirty tomorrow morning," his assistant reminded him. "All of your personal effects are ready. Where would you like to eat dinner tonight?"

Giving his assistant a passing glance, Jordan checked on his phone, where various photos sent by his father had popped up. His face frowned as he read his father's message with the last picture.

[Son, I think this guy's a suitable boyfriend for our little Raven. He seems to be a good boy. Very attentive and sweet to her too.]

"Lou, change my plans. I'll be leaving tonight asap," Jordan snapped. "Book me the next available flight now."

Lou raised his eyebrows, seeing the sudden change in his boss's decision, and quickly obeyed, sensing the irritation in his Boss's voice.

[Stop your nonsense and act your age. Don't let the kids stay up too late!!!] Jordan replied to his father.

'What's with that brat sending exclamation marks?' Senior Choi annoyingly mumbled as his face twitched.

Senior Choi didn't bother himself with Jordan's reply, and just let Raven and her friends enjoy the night.

A few moments later...

"Raven, I think you've had enough. Look at your face, you're burning red." Chad said in a concerned tone. Raven already had around three bottles, and she seemed to be going for more.

"Hey Chad, why are you only concerned with Raven? What about us?" Yan jokingly asked, curiously pointing at Sheena who was still singing with her guitar.

Chad shyly smiled. He had liked Raven ever since they met, and he did love her in secret the closer they became as friends. Unfortunately, he just didn't have the courage to confess. He was afraid of losing Raven even as a friend. He had witnessed what happened to all of the boys who tried to court her. Chad didn't want that to be his fate. For now, he just feels content with being near her. But soon enough, he'll surely confess his feelings when the right time comes.

Raven was now singing with Sheena. She attempted to get up and dance but was drunk enough that she lost her balance right then and there. Moving fast, Chad immediately caught her and helped her up.

They didn't notice a tall man who looked gloomy as he walked towards them.

"Move!"
