"You aren't going to Angel's, are you?" Ryder asked as we drove through the neighbourhood.
It was peaceful, quiet. I liked it.
"No" I say with a sigh, "I just want some time for myself tonight" I say honestly and he smiled a small smile at me.
"Want me to stay?" He asked and I shook my head.
"No, I'll be fine. I just want to think" I say and he nodded.
"Let me know when and if you sleep then, okay Iz" Ryder asked, grabbing my hand.
"Okay" I smile.
We arrived a little after. After getting my things and reassuring Ryder I would be fine, I went into our apartment.
I loved it here. It was something that made me happy. A rare thing that made me happy.
I looked at the view, the room itself.
The best part about deciding to get an apartment was decorating. Ryder and I enjoyed that way too much.
I sat at a glass table and looked out a long window that over looked the city.
I could easily see everything from here and it was such a pretty sight.
With that thought In my mind, I grabbed my pad and began drawing the view.
--
My phone beeped with a new message from Ryder off facebook.
Ryder Evans: Are you asleep yet? I'll stay up and can talk if you want?
I sighed as I read the time. 1:37AM.
The time had went quickly but I couldn't and wouldn't allow Ryder to stay up and talk. He deserves rest from looking out for me all the time.
To Ryder Evans: I'm just about to go to sleep now. I'll see you tomorrow. Xx
I sighed as I looked down at my artwork.
It was different from anything I had done before.
Usually, the pictures would represent what I feel. Some were of small rooms to present how trapped I had felt. Some were of fires to show how much pain I felt.
This was different.
You could see the buildings. The full moon and the starry sky.
I liked it.
My phone beeped with another facebook message and I pick it up, automatically thinking it is Ryder.
Kian Wilde: Are you awake?
Wow. Kian had messaged me. I felt my stomach flutter as I let it sink in.
To Kian Wilde: Yes.
My reply was blunt and I anxiously looked at my art work again. My phone beeped and i look at the screen before smiling.
Kian Wilde: Can I call you?
My heart beat was so loud that if someone was next to me they would be able to hear it. He wants to call me?
To Kian Wilde: Sure, Kian. What for though?
I reply, letting curiosity get the better of me.
Kian Wilde: You'll see, Iz.
My phone began to call with an unfamiliar number.
I picked up and hear Kian's voice. I'm not sure how he got my number but nonetheless I was happy he did.
"Hey Izzy" he greets, he sounds happy and I could hear the smile in his voice.
"Hey Kian" I almost whisper. I'm not sure why but I felt a little breathless around him, or when I spoke about him.
"How are you?" He asked. I heard a little shuffling on the other side of the phone before it stopped.
"I'm good. How are you?" I ask, looking up at the twinkling stars and moon.
The view was gorgeous. So gorgeous. I loved it, I loved watching the stars and looking at the moon.
"I'm good, great even" he says with a small chuckle. I smile.
"That's good. Not to be rude but why did you call?" I ask, cupping my chin with my hand and leaning my elbows on the table, looking out the window.
"I wanted to talk to you" he says softly, quietly. Almost like a little boy.
I felt butterflies and I had to stop myself from squealing.
"What about?" I murmur. I feel a little tired but I don't want this conversation to end.
"Nothing in particular. I just wanted to hear your voice" he mumbled, he seemed a little shy and I thought it was cute.
"That's cute, Kian" I say softly, smiling like crazy.
"What are you doing?" He asked, all of a sudden.
"I just finished drawing" I say, closing my book and putting it in my school bag.
"Meet me? Please meet me Iz" the pleading in his tone almost makes me give in.
"Kian" I chuckle, "it's 2:30 in the morning" I add and he chuckled.
"I'm crazy but please?" He almost begs and I sigh.
"Fine" I say and he laughed.
"I'm not at home though" I say.
"Why? Are you sleeping at your friends?" He asked and I shook my head before realising he couldn't see me.
"No, I'm staying away from home for tonight. It's near mine. I'll meet you..." I trail off, not knowing where to meet him that isn't far From either of us.
"How about McDonald's? It's 24 hour?" He says with a chuckle.
"Yeah, of course" I say, putting my shoes on and grabbing my purse and keys.
"Great, stay on the phone with me" he demands.
McDonald's was a 2 minute walk from our apartment.
"Why?" I ask curiously, closing and locking door behind me.
"Because then I know you are safe" I felt my heart melt at his words.
"Okay, Kian. Okay" I say, a permanent smile stuck to my face.
