Chapter 4 NO.4

Isabelle POV:

"You ready?" Ryder asked as he opened my door for me.

"Yeah, I'm just going to try and get an early night I think" I say and he nodded. "C-Can you stay with me?" I ask quietly.

I really shouldn't ask him. He hardly gets any sleep because of me, I shouldn't prevent him from getting any less.

"I know what you are thinking Iz, and you're wrong. I'm not missing sleep. I'll stay with you" He says, putting his arm over my shoulder.

"Thank you Ry" I say with a small smile.

"You're welcome Iz." He smiled at me.

He opened the door.

"We are home!" Ryder shouts and I hear mum and dad walk into the front room.

"Hey" Mum says quietly to me when Ryder and dad go into the kitchen.

"Hi mum" I whisper. "You realise it isn't your fault, right?" I ask and she wraps her arms around me.

"I know but I should have noticed" She says and I smile up at her.

"It's okay mum, I don't blame you so you shouldn't blame yourself either" I say and she cuddled me closer.

"I love you Iz" She says.

"I love you too mum."

"What happened?" She murmured quietly and my breathing hitches.

"You don't have to tell me the story Iz" she say a softly. "I just want to know for how long and who it is to do with" she asks and I nod.

"It went on for about 2 years" I say, my voice cracking mid sentence. My mum hugged me tighter to her.

"And it was Sophia and her boyfriend" I state, blinking back tears.

There was a sudden knock at the door and I leapt up to get it.

What surprised me was Kian Wilde was stood outside.

"Who is it?" My mum shouts.

"Someone from my school!" I reply.

"What are you doing here?" I ask curiously, wiping my face to make sure it wasn't obvious I was about to cry.

"Are you okay?" Kian asked softly making my heart skip a beat.

"Yeah, I'm fine" I lie. "Do you want me to get Ryder for you?" I ask and he shook his head, making his hair to every where.

"No, I'm here to see you" he says and I nod.

"Okayy, why?" I ask and he chuckled.

"You left this at your work" he says, handing me my phone.

"I was going to bring it to you in school tomorrow but I didn't know if you would have been in because you looked quite sad at the tracks" he says, frowning.

"Thank you" I smile at him, making him smile back.

"You're welcome. So I'll see you tomorrow?" He asked and I shrugged.

"Maybe if you are lucky" I laugh and he joined in.

"See you Belle" he shouts as he jogs back to his car.

"Bye Kian!" I shout back with a big smile before shutting the door and spinning on my heel.

"What?" I ask when mum, dad and Ryder were smirking at me.

"You like him" Ryder states.

"And he also likes you" My dad says making my smile drop.

"Why would he like me?" I murmur so quietly I'm surprised that anyone heard.

"Why wouldn't he?" My dad asked. "How about your mum and I will tell you both a story about how we got together?" Dad asked, his eyes were twinkling as he looked over at mum.

"Really Seb?" Mum asked, her lips twitching upwards.

"Yes, really beautiful" he smiled.

They really love each other.

"Dad. Mum. I don't think Izzy likes him" Ryder says, probably noticing my uncomfortable state.

"Why though? From what I heard and seen; he's funny, sweet and he obviously cares for you Iz" Mum says to me "and let's not forget extremely good looking" she winks at me making dad scowl.

"He is the player of the school and the "bad boy". I don't want him to use me" I say. "I don't even really like him" I say and I don't know why, but it seemed as if I was lying to myself.

"Look Iz, boys who are like that obviously has something going on. I was known as the player of the school" Dad says making my jaw drop.

"No! I bet you were that boy who was so love with mum" I say with a giggle.

"Its true Iz. Your dad was the most well known player of the town" Mum says and my eyes widen.

"But, I was like that for a reason Iz. I'll tell you both now. I know you have been wandering it." He says and then sits with us the sofa.

Mum sat next to Ryder and dad sat next to me. He put his arm around my shoulder and smiled down at me before beginning.

"So, when I was younger, my mum abused me. Mentally and physically. She used to abuse uncle Mike too. We were both bought up to hate females. I know if doesn't sound nice but we did have reasons. So we broke everyone's heart." Dad said. Mum have him a reassuring smile and I felt his heart speed up.

"That was until I met your mother" he smiled fondly at the memory.

"How did you meet?" Ryder asked and dad chuckled.

"Ask mum" he smirked and she rolled her eyes.

"I was about to beat up his best friend" she says quickly making me and Ryder burst out laughing.

"Anyway, my first plan was to break your mum's heart but she was too stubborn that I tried too much and fell completely and madly in love with her. Other girls didnt even come to mind because I had the most beautiful" Dad says, looking mum straight in the eye as he said it.

Mum smiled widely before getting up and hugging Dad.

Ryder came over and sat next to us, his arm over my shoulder.

"There is nothing to be afraid of Iz. We are all here for you, forever" Ryder says.

"And so is Kian!" Dad shouts before we all Burst out laughing.

For once, I felt happy. I felt my heart warm because I knew I had my family, no matter what has happened or how much I might end up messing up.
