"Please let's just do it, marriage can come after I'm dying," Mia pleaded, but Hugo wasn't letting go, nor was he changing his mind, which annoyed her even more.
"Is this how you're going to behave!!" She scolded angrily. "For Christ's sake, we've been dating for over four years now, and you still don't want to touch me. What do you think this is hmmmm?" She cried rubbing her forehead with her palm in frustration.
"You don't seem fine for now. I'll just let you calm your head, then come back tomorrow," Hugo said, picking up his shirt hastily.
"Yeah, you better go, else I might forget I am supposed to love you and just kill you on the spot," She spat, turning away from him.
"I love you," Hugo whispered, squeezing her shoulders before running off.
Yes, that was all he was good at: squeezing her shoulders, giving her pecks on her forehead, and always avoiding her hands when she tried to hold him in public.
"Bastard," Mia mouthed staring down at the lingerie in her hands.
*Ring*
*Ring*
"Did it work? Please say it worked!! I'm dying to hear the whole gist; come on, start talking." Maja gushed from the other side of the phone.
"If it worked do you think I would have the chance to pick your calls?" Mia replied moodily, sitting on her bed.
"Gosh!! What's wrong with this guy? What was his excuse this time around?"
"The usual. Wait till after we get married bla bla bla," She sighed.
"Calm down sweetie everything is going to be okay,"
"It's not. I mean, how do I even come out bold to tell people I can't have sex with my boyfriend? I've been masturbating for the past four years and I have someone who should be there for me. Am so tired," She cried, sniffing.
"Are you sure Hugo's not sick?" Maja asked, curiosity taking the best of her.
"No, he's not. Have you forgotten I made him perform a series of tests two years ago? He's not sick. He just doesn't want to," Mia answered, throwing the lingerie across the room.
"If he's not sick then...."
"Then what?"Mia asked hoping for a solution.
"I don't think I should be telling you this but..." Maja said holding her breath while Mia patiently waited. "There's this drug Matilda left with me from last Friday, she uses it when her boyfriend or boyfriends aren't responding well to her," She continued, hesitating.
"What's the side effect of the drugs?" Mia asked, calculating the odds in her head already.
"There's no side effect. You just add it to whatever you want to add it to then it's ready. The amount of drugs you add tells how intense you want the night to be," Maja gushed.
"Why hasn't Matilda said anything about this drug right from the start?" Mia mouthed, not loud enough for Maja to hear tho.
"You were saying?"
"No.. No, nothing. I was talking to myself. Maja, can I have just a little quantity of these drugs?" Mia pleaded, pacing around her room impatiently.
"I don't know, You know how Matilda can be when she's angry. I don't want her biting my head off when she finds out I gave you the drugs," Maja complained fearfully.
"Please Maja you know you're the only one I can rely on right now please I'm about to go insane,"
After much persuasion, Maja finally gave in, "Fine, but promise not to say a word to Matilda about this. This must stay between us forever," Maja warned over the phone trying to sound serious.
"Yeah... Yeah, my savior, I promise not to say a word to Matilda about this, not even a third soul," Mia chuckled.
"Okay. You might just need to hurry I don't know when she'll be coming for it," Maja gave in from the other end of the phone.
"Don't worry, I'll be at your doorstep in an hour," Mia said happily, running to her wardrobe.
"An hour?" Maja shouted, but Mia had already cut the call, dialing Hugo's number.
"Hey, baby!!" She chipped happily the moment he picked.
"Honey, I'm sorry I..."
"Meet me at Hakibis," She said, cutting him.
"Hakibis? Why?" Hugo asked confused.
"I'm sorry I acted childishly today. I now understand why you want us to remain the way we are till after marriage," She smiled secretly at herself, petting her head.
Brilliant, how brilliant of you, Mia.
"Honey, I am happy you're finally seeing reason with me," Hugo replied, his voice cheerful.
"So, will you meet me there,"
"Of course honey I'll see you there,"
"Okay, love ya," Mia said, sending him kisses over the phone.
"Me too honey," Hugo said, hanging up.
"All set!. Just one more step to go," Mia screamed at the top of her voice.
"Ma'am, are you okay?" Her maids rushed into the room, only to meet her picking outfits with smiles all over her face. She acted like she didn't hear a word they said.
"I think she's okay," The head maid said ushering them out.
~ HAKIBIS HOTEL ~
Mia sat impatiently at the bar, legs crossed, and all dressed up.
The place felt extremely hot to her because she was about to do something she'd been craving for years. She had promised Hugo her virginity right from the start, which even made matters worse; he knew she was still a virgin. If only he could just do his duty.
"Hey pretty," A funny-looking guy greeted her, but she never answered. She just rolled her eyes and continued looking at her phone, waiting for Hugo's call.
"Why is he not calling?" She cried, looking at their chilled drinks, which already contained the drugs.
The vibration of her phone jolted her out of her thoughts. "Hello," She said breathlessly, the moment she picked.
"Am here. Where should I meet you?" Hugo asked.
"I am coming to you, don't worry," She said happily, jumping down from her chair.
"Come here, my babies," She said, picking up the glasses but stopped halfway. "I should drink mine first; it'll make things better." She told herself, then gulped the whole thing down with a smile on her face.
The dark, cold night air hit her face with full force the moment she stepped out, but she cared less. The heat that was forming slowly between her legs was more than enough to tell her she needed to find Hugo as soon as possible. The more the cold hit her face, pushing her hair backwards, it felt like fate was trying to tell her something.
