Her twin sister, Karel, was supposed to be in her place today. But here Karen stood, smiling with a heart full of dread.
This wasn't a love story. This was a plan. A setup. A lie.
Her parents, her sister-they had all agreed to the switch. Karen, being the ever-loyal daughter and sister, had agreed too.
She couldn't disappoint her family. She couldn't break the image they had crafted for her.
But what hurt the most was the truth she couldn't escape-she wasn't the bride Bryan wanted.
It was Karel. And yet, here she was, pretending, playing a part that was never hers.
She swallowed, feeling a pang of bitterness rise in her throat as she glanced at the diamond ring on her finger.
A sound outside broke her thoughts-the unmistakable hum of a car engine turning off. Bryan was home.
Karen's heart raced. She quickly tidied her hair, brushing her fingers through it as she tried to compose herself. She couldn't afford to let him see the turmoil inside her.
Taking a deep breath, she headed downstairs, trying to keep her nerves in check. Her heart was a mess of emotions, but she had to act as if everything was fine. As if she was the woman Bryan wanted her to be.
When Bryan walked through the door, she forced a smile onto her lips, stepping forward to greet him. "Baby, you're back..."
But before she could finish her sentence, the overwhelming smell of alcohol hit her like a slap to the face. A sharp, bitter scent mingled with his cologne, and Karen's stomach twisted in response.
Bryan didn't answer her. His face was a cold mask, devoid of any warmth or acknowledgment. He walked past her, ignoring the slippers she had neatly placed at the door. Karen's smile faltered.
He was avoiding her. Cold and distant, like she was nothing more than a stranger to him.
She followed him silently, her heart sinking with each step.
Upstairs, Bryan began to undress, the fabric of his shirt slipping off his muscular frame, revealing his chiseled body. Karen felt a heat rise to her cheeks. She couldn't help but notice how strong and imposing he looked, but it wasn't the attraction she once felt. Now, it was a painful reminder of how far apart they were, even though they were supposed to be husband and wife.
Before she could even think of what to say, she felt his hands on her.
Strong. Forceful. His grip was unforgiving as he pulled her toward him, lifting her off her feet and throwing her onto the bed. The impact was sudden, and her back hit the soft sheets hard, the air rushing out of her lungs.
She winced in pain, the sharpness of the fall settling in her spine.
Bryan stood above her, his eyes like ice. She couldn't make out his expression completely, but the coldness radiated from him, sending a chill through her.
"What's your name?" he asked, his voice low and laced with menace.
Karen's breath hitched. His words were sharp, demanding. "Me?" she stammered, her mind racing to come up with a response.
"Karel... Karel Norman..." she whispered, her throat tight.
She wasn't Karel. She wasn't. But her lips spoke the lie anyway.
A cold, dangerous laugh escaped Bryan's lips. The moment he heard Karel's name, something in his eyes darkened. His grip on her hair tightened, forcing her to look at him.
"Are you Karel?" he spat, his voice barely a whisper, but the venom was unmistakable.
Karen's heart pounded in her chest. She couldn't look away, even though everything inside her screamed to turn and run. She wanted to be anywhere but here.
But there was no escape.
"I'm not Karel, Bryan, Rather I'm Karen Norman" she thought inwardly but just couldn't reveal her true identity.
"Yes, I'm Karel..."
His eyes bored into hers, studying her every word, every movement.
She could see the storm brewing in those deep blue eyes.
Anger, betrayal, and something darker that she couldn't quite place.
"You think this is a game, don't you?" Bryan's words were like ice shards, cutting through the tension in the room.
"You think I don't know what you did?" His voice dropped to a dangerous whisper.
"You're not Karel. You're just a cheap substitute."
Only then did Karen see his face clearly. There wasn't any warmth in his profound eyes at this time.
Instead, it was all hatred down into his bones!
When Bryan said Karel's name, inexplicable anger filled all over his pitch-black eyes.
It was in the middle of summer.
Even so, Karen's forehead was covered with a thin layer of cold sweat as she was in a panic.
With her hair being pulled by him, she couldn't turn her face away and could only stare at him.
She felt Nervousness overwhelming her in secret.
Bryan's eyes became colder and colder on realizing Karen still claims to be Karel Norman.
"Since you are here today, you should be aware of it. I, Bryan, have never been a kind person!" His cold voice sent shivers down Karen Spines.
The moment those words left his mouth, Karen heard a ripping sound indicating that the white wedding dress she wore was being ripped open!
The next second, completely ignoring Karen's resistance, Bryan got onto her body as he balanced himself in-between her spread legs.
Karen's cheeks flushed in embarrassment. She had never been in such a position with any man and no man had seen her stark naked.
Karen tries wrapping her hands on her big boobs but her hand was swiftly flung away and her panty torn off her waist.
"Argh" She couldn't help crying out in fright.
The Bryan she's staring at right now, looks more like a monster than a human.
Karen couldn't believe this was the same man she's been crushing on for over Ten good years.
"It would be better if you don't try fighting me off, I might end up becoming more brutal than you can ever imagine." Bryan threatened with his eyes bloodshot.
Karen felt like shoving him off her body and dashing out of the bedroom but that was a dead end.
She knows her strength wasn't to be compared to Bryan's.
Without bothering to warm her up a bit, Bryan thrust his phallus into her.
