Chapter 5 You are a Thief, Allen!

"Karina, please let me purchase clothes in peace," he pleaded, still examining the clothes in front of him.

"These clothes are not five dollars Allen. Give up while you still got the chance," she said, laughing loudly this time, already getting the attention of the other buyers.

"I don't have the time for this Karina," Allen said again, running out of patience.

"Suit yourself then. A poor cleaner like you cannot afford these clothes," she said loudly before walking away. Now, the store was filled with murmurs from people, considering how shabbily he dressed. Their murmurs turned to laughs but Allen ignored and composed himself.

When he was done picking the ones he wanted, he hurriedly went to pay when he saw Karina standing there again. When she saw him, a smirk crept its way to her face. She wanted him to be embarrassed so badly.

Allen slipped his infinity card out of his pockets, about to hand it over to the cashier when Karina screamed loudly.

"You're a thief Allen!"

"Where did you get that?" she screamed, calling the attention of other people.

"This card belongs to the top bosses so how did he get a hold of it," the other workers murmured.

"You obviously stole it," Karina said again, fuming in anger. "I will call the security on you."

"The security will do nothing to me," Allen said with so much confidence, and a smile playing on his lips.

Karina was taken aback. The Allen she knew was never this confident but she still stood her ground.

"Since you are so eager, let's place a bet," Allen told her. "If the security takes me, I will do your bidding but if they don't, you will kneel before me and beg for my forgiveness.

"Bring it on Allen. You are playing with your life," Karina said with a scoff. Karina left and in a few minutes she came back with the security tagging behind her.

"That is the man I told you about," she said, pointing at Allen.

"What is going on here," a baritone voice said in the midst of the crowd. Immediately, the crowd started to dissolve giving way for the man with much respect.

The workers, including Karina bowed their heads to greet this man. Allen stood there watching the whole scenario.

"You are so dead Allen. My boss will deal with you," Karina said, with a devilish smile playing on her lips.

"I said, what is going on!" the man screamed, his voice clouded the room.

"Sir, this man is a thief causing trouble so I called the security on him. You don't have to bother, they will take him quickly," Karina said, lowering her gaze in front of the man.

"Who dares to cause trouble here?" The man asked again, still curious. Karina pointed at Allen. The manager followed her hand movements, finally landing on Allen's face.

Immediately he saw Allen, his eyes widened in shock. He immediately recognized who was in front of him.

"Are you all crazy?" The man asked the security angrily. "Do you people know who you are disrespecting?"

"But sir, Karina told us he was a thief," the security leader announced.

"Young master, what punishment do you want me to give her for accusing you wrongly?" the man asked, bowing before Allen.

The store was filled with murmurs upon seeing the man bow before a mere pauper. Karina was confused on why her boss would bow to this poor Allen she knew. He even asked him to punish her.

"But sir, he is just a wretched cleaner with no penny to his name. He obviously stole the card," Karina argued fiercely.

"Slap!" the manager's hand landed across her face. "How dare you disrespect the young master," the manager said to Karina who was still rubbing her burning cheeks in disbelief.

His bodyguards and Mr Calloway heard the commotion inside and they all rushed to the scene.

"Young master, what is happening?" Mr Calloway asked, with the other guards ready for action.

All of these threw Karina into further confusion as she threw deadly glares at Allen.

"I don't know what game you are playing Allen but I will make sure you regret this!" Karina blurted out, still in pain. "You know, Ryan, my sister's new fiancé, is my top boss. You will regret doing this to me."

Allen scoffed, as a sinister smile played on his lips. "So Ryan works under me."

That revelation made him even more excited. The thought of dealing with Ryan in the worst way possible filled his mind.

"Boss Ryan will deal with you all," Karina echoed, glaring at everyone. The guards immediately picked her up, about to drag her away when Allen stopped them.

"I haven't finished with her yet," Allen revealed, walking closer to where she was.

"The owner of the store is my person. I told you the guards will not take me," Allen said, laughing. He didn't want her to know he was the owner because he wanted to slowly reveal everything as time went on. He wanted it to come as a shock to all of them.

Karina stood there, wondering how poor Allen knew the owners of the store.

"Now, beg for my forgiveness because I've won the bet," Allen announced in front of everyone.

"Never Allen, I will never kneel to a wretched cleaner like you," Karina screamed. The manager was about to give her another slap when Allen gestured with his hands for him to stop.

"Karina, you are on the verge of losing your job so you'd better beg him," the manager warned. She sighed in defeat, the fear of losing her job because of Allen, pressed her. She had no choice and managed to speak.

"Forgive me Allen," she muttered inaudibly, rolling her eyes.

"That is not a way to address the young master. Address him properly and bow!" the manager ordered.
