Chapter 4 I'll Marry Him

Gillian clenched her fist and her body shook due to multiple feelings. It's the same thing every time.

These were the same schemes the Arison used to prevent her from working in the Arison family; to send her abroad for two years, to... How many lists does Gillian want to count? How much humiliation had she received?

"Mrs. Gillian, are you still there?" The nurse's impatient voice asked.

Gillian's eyes fell on her disgrace of a father, Luke, Willa, and Kathy. She secretly clenched her fist and gritted her teeth in hatred.

Gillian inwardly swore to remember today when she was forced against her will to marry a retard. When she was humiliated beyond words.

Gillian promised to pay an eye for an eye in the future. From now on she had no tie with the Arison family.

"Fine, I'll marry him. I'll apologize." Gillian breathed out, her body shaking. The sentence had taken her all her will before it could articulate. She couldn't help but give herself a deriding smile, she never expected that this would be how things would take a turn.

Kathy feigned a sweet tone as she responded to the nurse. "Oh, I'm sorry. My pretty Gillian is currently busy. The accountant must have forgotten to issue the money. I'll see to it that the treatment fee is paid in less than an hour. Please take care of the patient."

"Alright, Ma'am. Thank you." The nurse responded.

Kathy smiled triumphantly and cut off the call before throwing the cell phone on the cabinet with disdain.

"Go on." Roger Arison pronounced, and his gaze fell on Gillian coldly. It was as if Gillian was never his daughter.

Gillian clenched her fist and simply lowered her head. "I'm sorry, elder sister Willa," Gillian pronounced softly while doing her best not to gnash her teeth due to hatred.

Roger Arison nodded in satisfaction, but his face turned malicious in the next second. "Remember, don't act stupid, or else your mother's life can't be guaranteed." Roger Arison warned with a voice laced with hatred and disdain.

He and Kathy turned toward Willa, who was still shivering and sobbing lightly in Luke's arms. The hatred in their eyes was quickly replaced with worry and headache.

"Dad's little princess, are you okay? In a few minutes, Dad's doctor will be here to check up on you. Willa's health has always been frail. Dad has to make sure that you're fine and this won't have an effect later in the future." Mr Roger conveyed, his voice laced with heartache and concern for Willa.

Gillian couldn't help but look away, finding the whole thing disgusting!

"Oh my beautiful and innocent child," Kathy purposely exaggerated and cupped Willa's cheeks. "A country bumpkin from heaven-knows-where suddenly popped up to snatch your ordained, now she'll even bully you without shame. Truly shameful. You've been treated unfairly." Kathy cried out and stroked Willa's cheeks.

An embarrassed red crept up on Willa's face, and she stomped her feet in embarrassment. "Mom."

Hearing his wife's sentence, Roger couldn't help but feel as if he was stabbed in his heart. It was his infidelity that caused all this. If he didn't betray his wife, Willa wouldn't have to live so pitifully.

Roger grabbed her hand softly, "Willa, it's all dad's fault. Dad promised to make it up to you, okay? How about Dad buy you that custom-made shoe from designer XR?" Roger said.

"Father-in-law, Willa, is my fiancé and my future wife. It's my responsibility to take care of Willa and resolve her grievances." Luke conveyed with a gentle and patient tone.

Willa's heart burst with joy. What's the XR brand? XR is a top and anonymous famous fashion brand that released only a few designs in a year. However, all the designs are always famous and fought for among all the ladies because not only money could get them, but one must have enough influence before one could lay a hand on any of the outfits!

Having those shoes means flaunting herself and having more people fawn on her.

Willa's lips curved slightly. She was deeply satisfied with how everyone was paying attention to her. So what if she snatched Luke? It was Gillian's fault for being careless and unable to take care of her man.

Luke was outstanding; naturally, he was meant to be owned by her!

She knew Gillian must be extremely envious of her current life. But that's just the beginning. Willa promised to put Gillian in her place and make Gillian realize that Willa is the heaven, which a lowly mud like Gillian could only look up to.

She raised her chin to stare at Gillian. Her brows raised in glee upon seeing Gillian glaring coldly at her, but she restrained herself and purposely leaned into Luke's embrace to make Gillian more jealous.

Despite all that was running through her mind, Willa stomped her feet and puffed her cheeks in feigned annoyance.

"Luke, Dad, what are you talking about? How can you simply talk about buying new shoes for me? There are lots of custom-made outfits and shoes in my closet that I have yet to wear. Isn't buying more of it a waste of money? Rather, we should spend the money on the company and help it go forward." Willa complained in a shy and coquettish manner, her dainty face flushed.

"Hahaha." Roger Arison smiled in satisfaction. "It's only Willa who cares about the company the most. I tell you, Luke Arnoult, regardless of how my princess likes you, if your Arnoult family hurt her a bit, this old man won't hesitate to make your Arnoult family pay." He warned in a strict tone while staring at Willa in satisfaction.

Willa paused her lips and bowed her head shyly while stealing a look at Luke and her dad. "Dad, what are you saying? Luke likes me the most, how can Luke bully me?" She whispered innocently, melting everyone's heart with her innocence. Her eyes flashed with a triumphant glance upon seeing Gillian's twisted face.

"Aiya Kathy, our daughter is now grown up. Now she's choosing another man over her dad. Ah, Dad wishes Willa was forever young and stays under Dad's protection." Roger looked at his wife with feign grievances.

Willa pouted and reached out to hook her hand with Roger's own. "Dad. How can you say so? Willa will always stay under Dad's protection." she promised coquettishly.

Luke also nodded his head determinedly, "Father-in-law, Willa is my Luke's wife. I won't let anything happen to her." He declared sincerely.

"Good. Good. You're really impressive!" Roger laughed heartily and patted Luke's shoulder. He suddenly took a glance at his watch and his smile died down, remembering a certain someone.

"There are a few minutes left before the wedding begins. The doctor needs to check Willa's health." Kathy stated while staring at Gillan with disdain. She hugged Willa and began to make her way out of the room.

Will shook her head anxiously, tears pooling in her eyes. "Dad. Mom. It's really nothing. I didn't fall... It's just." Willa coyly paused meaningfully, making everyone fill up the words themselves.

The three's anger surged, and they all directed a contemptuous glare at Gillian. Even though Gillian had repeatedly tried to harm Willa, Willa had repeatedly spoken up for her.

Luke shot Gillian a cold glare before walking out of the room.

Gillian's heart surged and tears streamed down her eyes. Why her? Just why her?
