Chapter 1 DARLENE.

Although I was just a bullied, degraded and weak omega, the weakest in the entire pack, I had a mate that was an alpha.

I often heard people telling me how lucky I was, for an Omega to have a mate at all was almost impossible and for an Omega who was as useless as me to have an alpha as a mate was just a direct blessing from the moon goddess.

My father was a very strong and well respected man, I was a very big shame to him and his entire pack, all because I was born am omega, but things changed three years ago when Alpha Conri, the strongest alpha from the Crescent moon pack was revealed as my fated mate.

He was everything I prayed to the moon goddess for, he was wealthy, strong, goodlooking and respected.

Three years had passed and I was still the happiest wolf In the pack, not until Juliette arrived at our pack house a week ago.

My life became a living hell in the blink of an eye. The moment Alpha Conri set his eyes on her, I became forgotten history.

I thought it was a joke when he moved her into our bedroom and sent my things to the guestroom.

But it dawned on me that what we shared was not important to him when he started openly showing signs of affection towards her and not even for once did he glance towards my direction.

Juliette found out from one of the pack members that I was Alpha Conri's mate and she took it upon herself that she would humiliate and embarrass me by maltreating me.

"Is that how to clean a toilet?." Juliette asked me sharply.

I turned to look at her, she stood at the door angrily glaring at me with her hands on her waist, my wolf was intimidated by her and it almost made me whimper, but I held my chin high.

"How else am I supposed to clean a toilet? " I asked her, for a week I've been doing the dishes of the entire pack, I've been cleaning their toilets in rotation and doing all their laundry.

I could not take any more of it as I was used like an old dirty rag and I was wearing out.

My question had angered her, she raised her hand in the air and before I could dodge the hit, her hand sharply came down and struck me.

There was a very loud sound from the hit.

"You dare talk back at me?." I heard her ask me, I was staring down at the floor so I didn't see when her fingers dug into my hair, took a few strands and pulled it so that I could meet her eyes.

"Is that how you talk to your Luna, how dare you address me with disrespect?." She asked.

She was pulling really hard at my hair and it was stinging, I couldn't hold back my cry.

"Please, I'm sorry." I told her hoping that she would let go instead she pulled harder.

"You should have thought of that earlier, now I'm going to make you pay." She said and pushed my head downwards.

Pain shot through my face when the bridge of my nose smashed against the toilet seat.

I screamed in terror as blood splashed out and strained the white ceramic seat, she released my hair and kicked me at the side of my rib.

I fell to the floor and curled up like a ball, tears escaped my eyes and the pain kept on throbbing with every heart beat.

"Good for nothing bitch." Juliette said and I heard her footsteps retreating.

I could not stand up from where I layed, not until I heard Conri's voice. I shot up from the floor because I didn't want him to see me laying in the toilet floor, but he would definitely see what Juliette had done to me and maybe he would come to his senses.

I ran towards him.

"Conri..." I said running to him and when his eyes met mine, he grimaced, I felt my heart shredding into pieces.

"Darlene...." He said disgustingly "please get her out of my sight." He ordered and then Darien, his Beta came towards me and pushed me out of the door.

He didn't even ask me what happened to me, didn't he see that I was badly injured?.

" Go over to your aunt's house." Darien ordered me, my mouth hung open but I couldn't say any words.

" Seriously?." I asked Darien.

"Leave the Alpha doesn't want to see you, you're an eyesore, take a look at you." He said.

" Juliette did this to me, he's supposed to be protecting me." I cried and looked through the open space in the door, that was when I saw something gut wrenching.

Conri and Juliette were pressed against each other in an affectionate kiss.

Darien slammed the door shutting me out, I ran to my room in my aunt's house and ran under the blanket and cried.

After some few hours there was a knock on the door.

" We're having dinner, now." My aunt said to me.

She was a member of Alpha Conri's pack, and since Conri chased me from his house, I had no other place to go than to stay with her.

"I don't want to come." I informed her.

"There is no chance for anyone to stay back, the Alpha has an important message to pass." My aunt said.

Whenever the Alpha had a message, there was no how we could disobey him.

I got dressed, my broken nose had already started healing, if I was a Luna, it would have gone in minutes without leaving any scar, but I had to cover it up with make-up since I was a powerless omega.

I was ashamed to face everybody with all their stares. I didn't belong to their pack and I was not welcome, but because of my relationship with the alpha, I was allowed to stay without being questioned. Now there was no relationship, because of Juliette.

Now it was obvious that the alpha had found a new girl, she was better than me in every way.

Even though Conri turned a blind eye to the maltreatment I faced from Juliette, I knew that he was in love with me and he was just distracted by Juliette, in time I would win back his heart, I could not give up on what we shared for three blissful years just in a week.

"Darlene, I'm happy that you're here." Juliette said, my heart started beating fast and hard against my rib cage. It was obvious that she was calling attention and she had won because everybody's eyes were on me.

I gulped hard as Conri stood up and walked to Darlene, he hugged her from behind and wrapped his arms around her belly. She held his arm and he buried his face in the space between her shoulder and neck.

She arched her back as he placed kisses on her skin, giving her hickies

The other pack members watched me, some had pity while the others snared at me, I didn't want to cry, I fought hard to hold myself to be strong but the tears ran down freely and my chest shook almost convulsively.

A big smile appeared on Juliette's face, Conri raised his head and his eyes met mine, when he saw how devastated I was, he turned away from me.

"Everyone, the alpha has an announcement." Juliette said "Baby, c'mon, tell them."

Conri cleared his throat.

"Everyone please pay attention, tonight I'm openly addressing the relationship between Juliette and I, we're engaged."
