My stomach grumbled loudly in hunger, I've not really eaten anything since yesterday. And why did it seems like I was getting more hungry and usual.
Maybe this pregnancy is already taking its toll on me and it just got into my stomach.
As I tried to stand up, I noticed a movement in my peripheral vision. My heart raced a bit as I saw a furry creature; a wolf, No, not now. If I fight one more time, I might actually die.
Sniffing it out, I realized that it was a rogue. But this one has gone completely crazy that it's now just a rogue with no atom of soul in it. It has clearly gone rogue for a long time.
Can I fight this one? These kind of wolves are always very dangerous and rabid. I braced myself up for what was coming. If not for anything, I need to give this my all because of my baby.
The wolf came out of its hiding place, and it was just as I had predicted. His teeth came out bared at me, it was really dirty with red splitters on his fur, he just killed someone.
My heart raced even more, his sharp fangs came out on full display as he neared me. The fear in me doubled even more, knowing that this animal before me can just kill me right here.
Before I could say jack, he lunged at me. I luckily swerved that, he wasn't able to attack at all. He sneered hard at me, getting more mad at me, his eyes went red with anger and he growled loudly.
I felt my stomach churn with so much fear as I watched him calculate my moves. I tried so much to block the hard thoughts in my head. I have to concentrate now, I need to fight him and be able to defeat him.
He lunged at me just like I expected, but this time around, I wasn't the one who attacked him back. A very black wolf came out of nowhere and pushed me back, attacking that rogue in my stead.
Growls pierced through the air, the ground shook with so much ferocity as the two large wolves fought. My butts made contact with the hard ground as the fight went on.
The wolf who was fighting for me fought the other one so fiercely, he didn't even look like he did much at all. He tore off the head of that wolf so neatly that it looked like it was done with a sword.
A sword, a head. My father. The scene before me made me remember that night once more. I'm still finding it hard to believe that he's gone, he's really dead.
And I guess this is how I meet him?
A low laugh escaped my throat.
The black wolf came towards me, his blood dampening his matted fur. His eyes were so dark, the kind of darkness that didn't just pertain to colour but also the soul. This rogue definitely hasn't lost his mind yet, but he's really powerful.
He walked past me and went behind a tree, definitely to shift and wear some clothes. I stood up and waited till he was done. A really tall man stepped out from behind the trees, his height and body build could easily tower over Thorne's even though I used to see Thorne as extremely large.
"You shouldn't be wandering in this bush alone. Who are you? And where are you headed to?" He asked me.
The sound of his voice sent shivers down my spine, it was so attractive and masculine that it was almost like he had it imprinted on my mind already. Tingles shot through my whole body and my palms went sweaty
What's happening to me? Who's this man? And why's he giving me alpha vibes and aura when he's just a rogue.
"Are you dumb? Or deaf? Can you not talk?" As much as that sounded rude, i knew instantly that he didn't mean it that way. He just kind of said it crudely.
"Uhm, no. I'm not dumb." I managed to say.
"Then answer my question, I don't have much time to spend here." He said again, sounding rude this time around.
"I'm not heading anywhere. I don't have anywhere in mind." I answered him. He stared at me from my head to my toe then back to my face again.
"You're not a rogue. Are you lost?" He asked me.
Right, I haven't mentally broken the bond between myself and my father's pack which means I'm still kind of in a pack.
"I am, I'm just not fully detached from a pack." I told him.
His eyes wandered my face for a while again, almost as if he was trying to read my facial expression to see if I was lying or not.
"Whatever. Tell whoever sent you that I said they should fuck themselves." His voice went even more cold, he glared hard at me then walked away.
What did he just say? Who's even this guy? Did he just insinuate that I'm a spy? What the actual heck?
I watched as he walked off, his ego following him too. It's almost like he knew I was watching him, so he just walked with more poise just so I could see that he doesn't care.
As soon as he was out of view and I looked away from him only for me to see that I wasn't alone anymore. Some group of rogues stood before me. The same rogues that I saw the other time.
"He's not always like that, he's just in a really bad mood because of all the attacks." A lady said.
"What are you guys?" I just had to ask.
"Well, welcome to the rogues pack. I'm Lily, what's your name?" The girl said, stretching out her hand towards me.
Rogue pack? Does that even exist? So I'm really finally a rogue, the only thing I've dreaded all my life.
Thanks Thorne.
