Chapter 5 Are you interested in a dinner

Rose pov

After yesterday's event, I just couldn't sleep. The whole event replaying in my head from the game tells the lie and how the lady who ordered the game was staring at me and muttering a word I just don't understand kept replaying in my head

I decided to take my bath and get ready for class when my phone rang displaying an unknown number. I rarely save numbers which is not new to me.

"Hey Rose,"Stella shouted from the other side of the line.

" Hey what's up" I said, knowing how sleepy I was due to the sleepless night I had.

"Are you still in your bed? "Do you even know what time it is?" She asked.

"What - OMG it's past 10 already", I exclaimed immediately I checked the time

"Wait, you don't even know you are late?" She asked again.

"Alright Stella, thank you for calling me, I am going to quickly dress up and prepare for class", I said to her.

" Alright, come quickly there are a lot of gists I need to tell you bye" she said and hung up.

I quickly took my bath and wore a pink flowered top over black striped pants. After a lot of struggle, I successfully styled my hair, leaving some parts to the front.

I stared at the strand of silver hair which lay hidden in between my hair like it didn't want to be seen. I signed in deeply, packed my stuff and left for class .

Dave pov

After yesterday's event,/ Tamara explained to me to try and keep the girl to which I find disturbing because I don't want to.

*Flashback*

"What do you mean I should stay close to her?" I had asked her yesterday.

"Because you two are going to need each other soon," she had replied.

" I mean, why did dad ask me to look for her when he didn't need her yet and why should she be my responsibility she should be his responsibility, not mine?" I said, slightly irritated and angry.

" The dark days are coming, take heed" she said, leaving me in a state of confusion and annoyance.

I signed in annoyance.

"Hey, you look like you have seen a ghost. Is there a problem?" Jason asked me after class.

"Nothing is wrong " I replied curtly.

" Alright if you say so" he said

"So Davi d I-" he was still talking when Skyler and Damon interrupted him with their presence.

"Hey what's up dude" Skyler said, rubbing Jason hair

"Hey, get your filthy hands off me," Jason said annoyingly.

"What's up Dave, how was your night?" Damon asked, which shocked me

"Do I look like someone who had a night's trouble?" I was unable to contain all the questions again.

"Yes" they all chorused.

"Whatever there is a girl I have my eyes on these days and I would want you to all meet her" Jason announced suddenly.

"Wow, I knew it" Skyler said excitedly.

"Who is the person?" Damon asked.

"No, I won't tell you the person, but I want you all to meet her during lunch at the students cafeteria" he said

"No never" I said.

"Same here," Damon said.

"Pls I beg you guys " he said pleadingly.

"You know the unnecessary attention we will get when we get there", Damon tried to reason with him

"I know just this once please," he said.

"Alright guys, let's just go, and I am also curious to see the girl that had smitten Jason unless he wants her as a pet,"Skyler said.

"Am not going " I said uninterested.

" You know, Dad told me something this morning which I think is related to yesterday's event and I am sure you are curious about it," he said.

" What the fuck did he tell you?" I asked him.

"I am only going to tell you if you agree to follow me," he said.

"Okay, whatever " I said.

During lunch

Rose pov

I was listening to Stella rant about how she was dumped by her first boyfriend when the group of guys entered, causing a lot of commotion as usual and the most shocking part is that the pair of friends headed directly to my table.

"Hey Rose," Jason said, winking at me. I am still not used to his flirting tactics, so I just nodded and allowed him to sit beside me along with his friends.

"Rose meet my friends," he said. Only two of them acknowledged my presence. The last person looks uninterested.

" So you are the girl that has our dear Jason's heart" one of them said, which I believe is Skyler due to his name tag

"What?" I said, confused.

Just then, the last person who was uninterested suddenly looked at me.

And then recognition came in.

"You" we both said, which caught the others by surprise.

"Do you guys know each other?" Jason asked.

"No" he replied curtly.

"Well Rose, I don't know if you will be interested in a dinner party that will be happening this weekend. It is hosted once in a while by the school authorities and, trust me, it will be a lot of fun, and you can come with your friend too, if you like" he said pleadingly.

"Am not sure, but I should come" I said, which made him happy, I think.

"Alright, I will text you the place and numbers" he said, scribbling some numbers on a sheet of paper and handing it over to me. I collected it from him and promised him that I would be there for the dinner party.

After a while, he left alongside his friends.

I don't know, but I have a feeling something new is going to happen at the dinner party. I just hope it's something good.

"Yay, I am happy I am going to a dinner party with you," Stella said excitedly.

"I'm going to doll you up for the party. "Don't worry you got me" she said again and couldn't help but laugh at her words .

That night I couldn't help but think about the upcoming dinner party.
