David POV
I woke up with a heavy heart wondering how I was going to fulfill my father's hard task when I heard a knock on the door "Come in," I said to the person knocking, and I saw Isabelle come in.
"So have you found a clue as to how you are going to find this girl?" she asked with concern.
"No" I answered her.
"Okay, this is what we are going to do at school today have ordered a girls' game and only those with silver hair will have access to the game and the prize that comes with it "she said.
"So how are we going to find the right one that father demands for?" I asked, trying to figure out her plan after thinking for a while, she raised her head up a little with her hand on her chin like she had found something.
"Why don't we invite Tamara to the game?" she said.
"No, I don't think that is a good idea and what makes you think a thousand-year-old witch is going to follow us to school to play a game?" I said, not in support of the idea.
."At least, let's give it a try," she said.
"No, I don't think that is going to work," I said. "So what do you suggest?" She asked, signing in defeat .
"Okay, we will go with your plan of the girls playing a game, but this game will go like this. The girls will be invited to play a game called Tell a lie and the lie will be," I don't have silver hair, so those that tell that lie will be brought towards Tamara the witch, but she will be disguised as your sister. Then she will point out the one we are looking for then boom problem solved," I said, feeling proud of myself.
She looked at me with a look that said whatever.
"Okay, but who is going to convince her to come?" She asked.
"You, of course"I replied.
"No, I am scared of that old witch, and you can't tell me to go and meet her all by myself " she said, showing fear. I looked at her for a while, wondering how she became a vampire before replying, "Okay, we will go together to meet the almighty Tamara " I said, easing her fear.
We went to meet Tamara in a scary little hut on our way to meet Tamara. Isabelle keeps shouting anytime she steps on a dried bone or skull. I had to remind her who we were going to meet and how scary the person really is, which makes her fear the most.
"Am here Isabelle, you don't need the screams." I said for the tenth time today till we finally got to Tamara's little cave. She hid behind me while I explained everything to her. She listened deeply to my explanation and said"I am going to come disguised as you said and help you find the silver-haired girl, but my enchantment can only work for 30 minutes so after 30 minutes I must leave" she explained, to which we agreed and left.
........................................................................
The next day, we got to school and everything was going smoothly. Tamara came disguised as Ashley's sister which caused little suspicion.
"Hey, who is that beautiful girl?" Jason asked.
"Just someone I think is Isabelle's sister " I replied.
"But Isabelle does not have a sister," Damon said.
Just then Isabelle walked into my little company and whispered something into my ear telling me it was time.
"Hey Jason, I need a favor from you" I said to him.
"What favor does the almighty David need from me?" he said dramatically.
"Ohh shut up, you only need to help me make an announcement telling the ladies of a game called Tell a lie and the winner gets to win a huge reward at the end," I said to him.
" Wow, does it include us too?" Skyler chipped in.
"No, I said, ladies" I said dismissively.
"Alright, whatever " Jason said.
Five minutes later
"Alright ladies who is ready for a game," Jason shouted loudly, to which the ladies reacted excitedly.
"The game is called Tell a lie and whoever wins at the end gets a huge reward," Jason said again, which prompted happy murmurs and squeals from the ladies' side.
I signaled to Tamara to take over the stage, to which she agreed.
"Alright ladies, here are the rules of the game.
1. You are only meant to answer a question.
2. You must tell the lie to the answer asked
3. After telling the lie, you will be tested to make sure your lie is valid.
Only those who succeed in telling the lie will have an opportunity for the prize.
She said,
"So the question is, does any one of you have silver hair?" She asked.
"Yesssss", so many of them replied, while a few said "no".
"Alright, come to my right-hand side if you have silver hair and to my left-hand side if you don't have any," she said.
I watched as so many of them trouped to her right-hand side and just five girls marched to her left-hand side.
"Alright, I think the five ladies here have won the first phase. "Now it's time to check if the lie they tell is valid," she said, facing the girls at her left-hand side, which left the girls on her right-hand side bewildered. She also signaled to me to follow her, which I did.
"Alright girls, follow me." She took the five girls to a room for whatever testing she claimed.
She called the first girl, but it was not her, the second, third and fourth, and I was starting to get worried the plan might not work when, suddenly, she gasped when the last girl entered.
"She is the one" she whispered and gasped.
" When the time shall come she shall experience a great transformation and, together with her knight, shall she conquer the dark one and fill the world with her rays of light and hope," she said again, but this time loud enough.
I was confused and at the same time shocked at who I was seeing and realizing she was the one I meant the other day at the restroom but how come "I can't see the silver hair on her head, and she is human, so how can she be the one?" I wondered confusedly.
