FOUR: NEW LIFE

Waking up the next day, Mia rolled on the soft comfy bed as the sun's rays penetrated the room, she slowly opened her eyes and her gaze wandered from the bed to the wardrobe and the silky curtain, her head felt numb as she looked around lazily, memories of last night flooded her head.

She looked around the room and there was no trace of him, she wrapped herself in a cloak she found beside the bed, probably left there by him.

She headed to the sitting room and he was nowhere to be found, she sighed and scanned the space for her dress

A few minutes later she was done, she rubbed her palms together and walked straight to the exit, her vulva still hurt like hell.

After one last look at the suit, she flung her hair backward and headed out.

Yes! She did it, she left the ever-soft Mia in that suite, she was ready to let her boring life go down the drain, she was ready to start a new one, one without her cheating boyfriend, letting him have a dose of his own medicine was so surreal " she thought as she entered into the elevator.

FEW WEEKS LATER

" The new cloth brand aims to provide high-quality, sustainable, and stylish clothing options while promoting environmentally responsible practices".

It was Mia's voice, firm and confident, she was defending a new cloth brand proposal for her company, her voice dominated the conference room as everyone listened with Keen attentive ears, she commanded the room so well with her high heels clicking sharply against the tiles beneath them.

She works for a fashion company which is also involved in modeling and up till now she has done her job so well, but the past few months have not been easy

Luca has been a thing in her life, and she was happy she finally let go.

" Here are some key importance of these new brands," she said and switched on the projector placed at the center of the room.

" It has Sustainable fabrics sourced from environmentally responsible suppliers, and Attention to detail and durable construction, its Classic styles that won't go out of fashion quickly".

" People seek stylish and high-quality clothing these days.

She paused, scanning the room " Collaborating with eco-conscious influencers and bloggers will boost its market value "

She concluded and there was silence, then applause, everyone seemed to agree with the proposal, she smiled calmly and she walked back to her seat, Her posture regal.

Wow, that's the zeal, baby! " Bianca said as Mia finally got to her seat Mia smiled

Bianca is her only close friend, they have been together for ages and she told her all about what happened with Enzo, of course, Bianca threw a fit, she screamed and shouted, telling Mia she was going to unalive Enzo. " Mia just laughed through the pain.

Mia boldly smiled at everyone again and something struck her mind, the stranger.

" If only he waited till the next morning," she thought and pouted her lips.

The meeting ended with her proposal getting accepted, and it was time to work on the new project at hand she was given a day off and she couldn't be more grateful.

She'd been working herself to the bone trying to move on from her broken relationship

She packed her stuff and walked to the parking lot, humming a song to herself.

She was feeling so good today.

Until she saw him

She got to her car only to meet her worst nightmare

"Luca ", she nearly yelled.

He was leaning gently on her car, it was a black Mercedes Benz.

" Hi Mia, " he waved casually.

Anxiety washed all over her, but she wasn't about to show weakness.

* What do you want? " She asked fiercely and he smiled, Mia suddenly got infuriated.

" Did you just smile? " she said , her voice fierce .

"Yeah I did "

" That wasn't a question " she replied with an eye roll she looked at him and scoffed, his eyes were nothing compared to that stranger, his physique. Inferior . " she thought.

" Oh no, Mia! " She chided herself and Luca laughed thinking she was lost admiring him.

Stop forcing yourself to hate me Mia, you just can't " he said and she scoffed.

We are done, Luca.

No, we are not, don't pretend you don't love me ," he said and moved closer to her and to her greatest surprise her silly heart skipped a beat.

She bit her lips hard and Luca smiled.

" I don't love you anymore Luca, I was forced to learn how to unlove you, I refuse to let you ruin me Enzo " She paused for a while trying hard not to let her tears fall.

" I was a fool, I just didn't realize .... Or maybe I did realize you were cheating on me, I just kept hoping you'd be mine alone again, but now, don't coarse yourself thinking you're someone I cannot replace, don't think I will bleed in silence I learned and found peace living without you ."

She mouthed into his ear, pushed him away, entered her car and drove off .

Mia drove out of the parking lot eyes, red and puffy.

" How dare he show his stinky face to me " she yelled as she drove off in fury.

Luca stood in shock, mouth agape as he watched Mia leave.

That wasn't Mia, she would never have stood up against him like that

" Is that her clone? " Mia would have never reacted to him like that, " he tried to shake it off with an awkward smile as he walked to his car.

He felt so uneasy and brought out his phone to make a call.

" Check what Mia has been up these days, I want everything, nothing untouched, " he yelled on the phone and ended the call.

" Watch out Mia, you don't wanna do this with me," he said angrily and zoomed out of the parking lot.
