Chapter 4 °THE DEVIL TWINS

Alexander's day was actually going well apart from the fact that his mentally ill mother called the police on him and stabbed him when she got surprisingly hugged him at the hospital.

Regardless of that,his day was going smooth and he had no regret visiting the psycho woman.

He called his younger brother, Gio, to help get Zephyr's information so he could know who he was flirting with better.

His phone rang after he finished speaking with Gio.

It was an unknown number. Knowing it was probably one of his new guards,he picked it and put it on loudspeaker

" Cos'e ?" *What is it?*

"Capo, Sir Rico è stato colpito ed è in condizioni critiche, non siamo riusciti a superare il medico di famiglia, quindi lo stiamo portando all'ospedale più vicino" *Boss,Sir Rico has been shot and he's in a Critical condition,we couldn't get through with the family doctor so we are taking him to the nearest hospital*

He rubbed his face,he knew this day was too good to be true. In the world of his,someone is either getting shot or killed before the week ends and today seemed to be the last day of the week.

"Mandami l'indirizzo" *Send me the address *

The journey to the hospital took up to two hours.

📍Speranza Ospedale 📍*HOPE HOSPITAL *

Alex sat on the single sofa in the VIP hospital room while he stared at his other younger brother sleeping on the hospital bed,two men entered the room.

Rico's right hand man,Roberto and Giovanni.

"Quello che è successo " Without taking his eyes off his brother on the bed.*What happened?*

Giovanni moved forward while staring at Rico before he looked at his elder brother with a clenched jaw he spoke. "The Vesky brothers happened".

At the sound of the name of those Russians his jaw clenched for a second. "I told him not to trust them,and my property?"

"He already sold it to them before we got there". Roberto answered.

Alex faced Roberto "Why weren't you with him?"

"He told me Gio needed my help with something,I insisted but he said it had to be me"

"Why was he shot?"

"We don't really know what happened, When I went to meet Gio and told him everything he suspected something and let us come back. When we came back he was outside with blood all over him and the two guards we brought with us were shot dead". Roberto explained.

Like he was processing everything Roberto just said,a minute passed before he stood up. "Send my condolences to their family and compensate them. I'll take care of those pussies myself" He walked out of the hospital room.

The Vesky brothers are also known as the devil twins,just like how Alex rules the Mafia world in Italy ,they did in Russia. He was suprised when he heard they were coming to Italy themselves to buy one of his abandoned property, he knew they were up to no good.

His brother who is in a relationship with Amelia Vesky,their one and only little sister became giddy and decided to be the one who meets them and connect with his soon to be brothers-in-law.

The only thing he wanted to know was why they shot him.

As he walked towards the elevator his eyes caught a glimpse of someone familiar entering the elevator so he sped up to meet up before the elevator door.

The woman sighed when she saw who entered the elevator with her. "Please don't tell me you followed me". Zephyr asked like she wasn't even suprised.

Nothing was suprising to her anymore after the millions of things that happened today.

She looked like a sleep-deprived person because of the dark eye semi-circle beneath her eyes.

"Nice to see you again" The Elevator door closed.

"It's not nice for me"

"Ouch". He held into his chest dramatically which almost made her roll her eyes but she didn't,she folded her arms and turned to face him.

"Do you know what happened before I got here?"

"What happened?" He turned to face her too.

Now they were looking at each other,she realised how close they were and how beautiful his hazel eyes were.

"Lost in my eyes?" He smirked.

"Never mind" She answered his previous question. Why did she want to tell him at first? He wasn't at fault for what happened,well he was at fault but not fully his fault.

"What floor?" She changed the topic.

"First."

She clicked on the number one button.

Leaning on the wall she started, "So..." He interrupted her with a chuckle.

An annoying but music to the ear chuckle.

"What's funny?".

"You really can't do without talking". He said between the chuckle.

She rolled her eyes,it's not like it's her fault.

Since she was little,she can't stay in a too quiet place,she needed something like music or anything that had a particular wave effect to drown out her thoughts.

"What are you doing in Italy?" He finally decided to ask her like he didn't know the reason.

"Look who's talking now"

He raised his brow at her urging for her to answer.

"We were transferred from NYC for an emergency,who are you?"

He was taken by surprise by the question she suddenly asked.

"It won't be fair if you don't answer my question now,would it?" She continued.

"I am me"

Like she already knew he was going to give her that type of reply she asked him another one. "Are you a criminal?"

"That's two questions" He laughed. "You really want me to be a criminal"

"I just wanna know if it's safe to talk to you especially if we meet in public". Emphasis on 'if'.

"You'd like us to meet again?"

"No,you want us to?"

"Why not? You can just take it as going out on a date"

"Date?" She asked like she didn't hear the first time. "No". Although she wanted to see the handsome man again but she couldn't help but think he didn't have a clean record.

"Are you dating someone?". He asked aThe elevator opened.

"Nyees".

He smirked because he saw through her and walked out of the elevator. "Well,I don't care" He then faced her, "See you tomorrow,Tesoro and save my number". He walked away.

Such a nice ass. She thought as she stared at his ass as he walked.

Alex drove himself to the Vesky's mansion previously known as one of his properties. They didn't take any time to take off anything that made a sign that he was once the owner of the building.

He stopped in front of the gate then he heard a woman speak from the intercom.

"Your name?" She spoke.

"Open the gate before I blow up this fucking place".
