In Love With A Don

Zephyr had just gotten a call from her boss at the hospital,there was need for ten nurses from her place of work to get transferred to their hospital's headquarters which was in another country and unfortunately she was part of those ten nurses.

"I will need you to get your things ready before tomorrow and bid your family goodbye because you won't be seeing them for the next three months,By six in the morning you should be at work with your coworkers".

"Bu-". Before she could even complete a word he had hung up. "Asshole".

She knew why he gave her that much attitude,She had been avoiding her boss' (the director of her place of work) advances but it seemed he wasn't getting the message until she told him straight to his face that she was seeing someone and wasn't ready to cheat on her boyfriend for someone as evil as he is.

She had heard a lot of things about her boss and nothing was near good, and the victims of his atrocities was either a female nurse or a female doctor. Zephyr lied down and chuckled at what she remembered.

Her only best-friend who also works in her place of work as a nurse had told her to expect that call because the asshole of a man was the one who recommended she and her friend to the higher ups.

Just because of a little rejection he was letting her leave her hometown and birthplace to a place she's never been before. Unbelievable.

She had two choices now,find another job or- Goddamn, it's 11pm,how could she find a job before the next day?

She actually had no choice,she and her little sister who's in highscool were literally living off the salary.

It's not easy to be an orphan.

By four in the morning, she had started her daily routine and packed her things. By 6 she had gotten to her place of work. One of the securities directed her to the rooftop because they were going to be transported by an helicopter.

Only a few of them had arrived but she had her eyes searching for one person.

"Z" Her best-friend,Emily called her by her nickname. "OMG where have you been?" She whisper-yelled at Zephyr.

"Uh I don't get,it's 6 on the dot"

"And you were supposed to be here before five"

Now she furrowed her brows, "Mr. Ford told me 6". She gasped at the realisation,that stupid bitch ass excuse if a man actually went to that extent,now she knew he still has a brain of a teenager.

How did he become the director of this hospital?

"Zephyr, Emily We are about to go" Their head nurse spoke up as she was beside the helicopter.

They entered the helicopter by the help of the scouts, Zephyr sat beside Emily while opposite them sat Mrs. Donovan, the head nurse.

He didn't even spare the married woman.

"How is the diarrhoea holding up?" Mrs.Donovan who looked stressed already asked her.

She hesitated "Oh it's gone for now,all thanks to metronidazole" Emily must have told her that reason for coming late.

"Good" She nodded.

"How long is the transfer duration by the way?" She asked the woman.

"Just three months, it's an emergency transfer. Italy is in some kind of turmoil although they won't disclose the troublemakers " Mrs. Donovan explained.

Emily nudged her "I heard we are gonna work out asses off"

Zephyr bit her lip,as far as the money was going into her bank.

In less than three hours they had gotten to Italy and ready to land. Emily looked down at the hospital. "Damn,this is ten times bigger than ours".

No kidding,it was a gigantic building.

They had only a little bag which held few of their clothes because the scout informed them not to carry anything with heavy weight.

As they got inside the hospital, Emily was first to take her phone from her pocket to message her boyfriend,telling him they have arrived at their destination.

When they got to the elevator,they found out only two people could use the elevator at once because it was under maintenance so she decided to wait behind while the two of them left. As she leaned back on the wall, She heard the door which led to the hospital's emergency stairs open.

Thinking it was maybe one of the cleaners she didn't look towards that direction until the person walked past her.

It was an Italian man who had his hand in his bleeding stomach,he looked like he had lost a lot of blood. She quickly ran to his aid.

"Sir,How did you get up here? You're badly injured,the emergency room is down there" She tried turning him towards the elevator but she couldn't because he held her hand with his bloody ones.

"No" He spoke.

She looked at him I'm disbelief,was this man on something? "And why is that?"

He sighed, "You talk too much"

"I'm trying to help you, I'm going to have to call the security or better still the cops" She was about bringing her phone out her pocket when she heard a click.

"Take out that fucking gadget and I put this bullet in your skull" His accent came out as he sounded pissed now.

She looked up to see him holding a gun pointing right at her head.

"Now shut up,be a good nurse and help me with this injury".

She gulped.

She landed here and the first person she met had to be a criminal now holding her at gunpoint.
