Chapter 5 The underworld dungeon.

Caterina jumped and threw a kick at the man, and the gun dropped from his hand.

The man looked at her surprisingly before charging at her. Caterina stepped back a little and punched his cheek before throwing a high kick and knocking him out.

Both Father Francesco and Daniele are stunned by her fast approach. Daniele was about to take out his gun and shoot him, but she acted fast and he withdrew his hand.

"I am sorry sir," she apologized and was about to take the man that was knocked off up.

"Leave him, I will take care of it," he said.

"Ok sir," she responded but was not satisfied. She was hoping that she would be able to investigate the man if she found something from him.

Some minutes later, some men came into the room.

"Sir?"

"Take him out and find out the reason for his attack," he said.

"Yes sir," they respond and drag him out.

"I can see you did a good job there by hiring that lady," Father Francesco said as the corner of his lip corned up, he was starting to find her interesting.

Daniele nodded, all confused, which makes him even more worried, about her identity, it is not stated in her profile that she can fight.

Daniele gets into the car with her, the driver starts the car.

"What was that earlier?" He asked.

"Nothing, just trying to protect my boss." She paused for a while and looked at him. "Where did they take the man to?"

"Why do you want to know?" He asked.

Caterina smiled awkwardly. "Just.... Want to know if I can help as well......"

"Ok," he responded and did not say any other word until they got to work.

Caterina went to her desk, and continued to stare at his office door. She wondered if she should tell her boss about it or not.

Caterina made up her mind and took out her phone.

"Sir I have something to report," she said, but it was someone else's voice that came out, she frowned and looked at the caller ID.

"Caterina, what's it?" Daniele asked again.

Caterina hung up immediately feeling nervous. "Why am I a fool," she stated as she knocked her head.

Daniele stared at his phone wondering why she hung up on him.

He dialed Alessandro's number. "I will be there tonight, have you got anything?"

"Not yet, he refused to say anything."

"Then kill him, if you must, kidnap his family to threaten him."

"Already did that but he is not ready to say a word."

"Ok, wait until I am there then," Daniele said before hanging up, he took his jacket and rushed out of his office.

Caterina stood up and wanted to follow him as well.

"No, you wait here," he said and walked away.

Caterina frowned and followed him, she took a cab to tail him.

Daniele smirked when he noticed that a car was following him, he stepped in the speed, driving even faster.

Daniele drives to the big mansion, where they use to carry out all the operations, he gets out of the car, and the guard bows at him.

"Sir,"

He nodded and went inside, he got into the elevator which took him to the underground.

Alessandro was already waiting for him at the elevator door with the other guards.

"How is it going?" He inquired.

"Going great," he responded.

"Where is his family? Bring them to the dungeon," he said as he continued to walk to the dungeon.

Giulia comes to him after seeing him approaching the dungeon. "Yes sir." she opened the door for him

Daniele nodded at her and entered, his gaze met with the man that was tied down to the chair, his face was already covered with bruise, and cuts, it seems like they have been torturing him for a long time.

"Who sent you?" He asked, his voice was nearly loud enough for anyone to hear.

"I am not going to tell you anything!" The man yelled, spatting on him.

Daniele's gaze darken and turned even more dangerous. "I will not repeat myself," he said before he withdrew the gun from Giulia and pointed it at his daughter that was just brought into the dungeon.

"Ahhh," the lady screamed as she hugged her daughter tightly.

"If I ask you a question and you refuse to answer me, I will torture you in a way that it will be so unbearable for you, so I will ask you again, who sent you?"

"Please, let my family go."

Daniele lip cunned up, and he pulled the trigger at her daughter, the bullet went straight into her head and she fell down.

"That's not the answer, I will ask you again, who sent you?"

"Aaaaaahhhhhhh," the man screamed as he struggled to be free.

Daniele felt more excited watching the man experience pain, in the most suitable way, he smirked and shot his wife's leg.

"Oops! My hand slipped, but you didn't answer the question."

"I will tell you everything, please spare my wife," he pleaded.

Daniele shook her head and shot her other leg. "Not the answer that I want to hear," he blinked, waiting for him to speak.

"Vincent sent me!!" He yelled as he continued to tear up.

"Thank you," he responded before walking away. "Finish it up," he said as he looked back at them.

Meanwhile, Caterina was still wondering how to enter the mansion. She tried all the exits, but it did not work.

"Sophia, how can I enter a private property?" She asked.

"Private property?" Sophia asked.

"Yes, I am at a strange mansion, I will send the address to you, I need to get into that mansion later, it might be their underground," she explained.

"Ok," Sophia responded before she hung up.

"What are you doing here?" Daniele's voice came from the back.

Caterina stood there stunned, and shocked.

"I... I...."

"Answer me Caterina, why are you here?" Daniele asked calmly while staring at her.

"I......."
