Andrea, who had calculated everything, took a different path. She directly contacted the family of Michael Smith.

Andrea requested to meet John Smith, who was the father of Michael Smith.

The woman arrived at Star Lounge, the place where she had arranged to meet Michael's father.

When the door to the room opened, Andrea saw a middle-aged man sitting down, and beside him stood another man as still as a statue.

The middle-aged man was John Smith, and the man next to him was Elvan, his personal assistant.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Smith." Andrea greeted with a slight smile. But of course, John responded coldly. It wasn't only Michael who was known to be flat and cold, John was the same.

In truth, the middle-aged man admired Andrea's appearance, but unfortunately, the woman came to blackmail him.

"Tell me what you want?" The middle-aged man didn't want to waste his time with a gold-digging woman like this.

"I want to marry Michael Smith."

"Why?"

"Because we had unprotected sex. Aren't you afraid that a Smith heir might be in my womb now? Besides, I have photos and also videos from that night..."

"Insolent!!" The man's hand slammed harshly against the table in front of him.

"Gather information about that woman immediately. Who is she really, to dare threaten me?" he said to his assistant, who immediately complied, also annoyed by Andrea's behavior.

Michael took the file from his assistant's hand and began to read the report from Dave Black, his assistant, in detail.

During that year, Miss Andrea's company was managed by jewelry designer Frans Co. In a short time, that jewelry company successfully entered the international market. The woman also won many international awards. She is recognized as one of the youngest jewelry designers and one of the top designers in the world."

"Not only that, Van Houten Jewelry is also the most sought-after company by elites and celebrities around the world. The woman is known to be antisocial and never attends any parties, and she's a cold-handed professional," Dave continued to his boss.

"But behind all that success, Miss Andrea's past record before going to the Netherlands was truly bad! Miss Andrea had a very wild lifestyle, was a troublemaker. She and Miss Jessica were at great odds. She was also kicked out by her father for being pregnant out of wedlock!!"

Michael had finished reading all the data collected by his assistant. Why were the data before she left for the Netherlands and after she arrived there so drastically different?

While Michael was thinking about Andrea, suddenly his phone rang. He looked at the phone screen and found that his father was calling him.

"Come home now! I have something important to discuss with you!" His father's angry tone shocked him. His father had never been angry with him because he always did his best for the family.

Even his cousin Brian Smith had to resort to dirty tricks to escape a scandal that could destroy his power within the Smith family. But it failed!! The hotel CCTV scandal video disappeared!

Then why was his father angry?

"Alright, father, I'll be right home!" Michael didn't say much and immediately grabbed his phone and car keys so he could head home quickly.

But his phone rang again, indicating someone else was calling him. His phone number was private and not shared with anyone, so those calling must be close contacts.

When Michael looked, it turned out to be Jessica.

"Damn! I haven't given any certainty or clarity to that woman."

Then without thinking much, Michael immediately answered the call.

"Hello," Michael directly responded to the call in a flat and cold tone.

"Michael, are you busy?" Jessica asked in a soft tone.

"There's a problem I need to handle, sorry I haven't contacted you because these past few days have been really hectic. There's a lot I need to deal with."

"Sorry for bothering you..." Jessica couldn't say much because when Michael said he was busy, she could never demand anything.

"I'll contact you when I have time to explain everything. Maybe I'll also invite your parents to sit together and talk about our issue. For now, I still can't do it because of how packed my schedule is."

Again, Michael said it in a flat and cold tone as if there were no emotions in it.

Jessica could only hold herself back so she wouldn't get angry in front of Michael because she always wanted to maintain a good image in his eyes.

"Alright, I'll wait for you, don't forget that I love you too!"

"Hmm," Michael only responded with a grunt because he didn't feel anything at all toward Jessica.
