Chapter 3 Diamonds, Dirt, Deceit

"Oh, it does, sweetheart. And it's now more than evident that you're far awake from being a diligent member of this pack. It should've never been you, Nova. You're a spoiled brat in your own pack, did you ever notice your own actions."

Things could only ever go so downhill to hit rock-bottom.

Smacking my fists against the chair, I stand up forcefully.

"I cannot tolerate this anymore. If this is how you all have started treating me...I'll leave the pack."

With a scoff, the third elder replied...

"We would be grateful to you, Nova."

Tears flooded in my eyes. And for the last time, I looked at the walls of the hall and began walking against the silence of everyone else.

My gaze landed on Garrick...he refused to meet my gaze. Why, Garrick? What have you done against me? You did nothing wrong against me, right? These people cannotcontrol their tongue, they've shown their true colors to me.

I've learned their intentions...

And I promise to come back ever more powerful to reclaim what I've lost.

And for now, I've lost everything.

But...against the rainy clouds, I catch the ring on my left hand sparkle.

Wait...I haven't lost everything. I have Elias by my side! My fiance will help me, I have no doubt on him.

He's a sweetheart, he's always been a sweet gentleman towards me. As I fished my phone out, dialing his number I knew by heart with a smile on my face, a message popped up on my phone.

Little drops of rain scattered the vision on my mobile, but I opened it anyway.

It was tagged with a video attachment, email named: "Elias's Secret"

Curiosity got the best of me...and I opened the attachment. And I played it.

"...N-No way..."

I couldn't speak because of the shock.

In the video, Elias was enjoying his time inbed with several women pleasing his body. Each one gave him a hickey that I could have never given him.

Two of them playing with his manhood, covering him like it was scripted as he took the video of himself using a selfie stick.

And a woman, rising from his manhood with his flavor in her mouth...kissed him!

She turned to the camera, and that's when I lost the ability to speak at all.

She was...Maris!

The other women...as the video played were Calla and Aria! No...this can't be true.

Not today, not everything on the same fucking day!

And that day, when I turned eighteen, I lost everything and gained nothing. I had no wolf to keep me company either.

Just like that, I wailed like a child who lost everything to this cruel world and walked around the streets aimlessly.

My feet hurt, my dress was torn from being hooked to a fence, my heart was bleeding and urging me to end it all.

No...this isn't how it should end like.

I seek justice. With no one by my side now, I am all by myself. That sorts to me being my own strength as well as my own weakness.

My fists could almost break the door open, but I'm not really in the mood to alert his delta wolves to attack me. I'm powerless...I've never felt so ashamed of it until now.

Ugh! What's taking the cheater so much time to answer his fucking door!?

He lives in an independent house, much unlike how an alpha should be, around his people in a pack house. I hear footsteps and hold my phone tightly in my hand.

"Why the hell are you here so late, baby girl?"

What a nonchalant person! Deep down he knows he's cheated on me, belittled me, but he still chose to stay so composed about it!? Has he no remorse in his heart for me!?

Let me bring his emotions out. Maybe he'll beg me for forgiveness. Beg by holding my feet and all as I threaten to reveal his infidelity to my bloody pack!

"What the fuck is this...?" Shoving the phone in his hand was a bad idea. I realized it later.

My jaw dropped.

Anger got the best of me as I pushed him by his chest!

"What the fuck do you mean, Elias!? You cheated on me! What the fuck is wrong with you- I-" my words were snatched out as he forced himself over me.

He was kissing me, without my permission! Heck, I never expected the sweet, understanding Elias to turn out to be such a monster!

"One thing..." Holding my shoulders, dismissing all my meek efforts of freeing myself, he threatened me.

His alpha pheromones were messing with my body, even if I didn't have a proper wolf to respond with.

"One thing I'd like to tell you, is that you're powerless right now, baby girl. You didn't leave your pack. They accepted your departure with open arms, did you know?"

"...How dare you..."

"I dare a lot of things, princess. But first and foremost-" taking the opportunity to set myself free, I push him away and retrieve my phone.

"That's all I need to show my pack what a fucking cheater you are, Elias. I will do everything in my power to bring our alliance down-"

"Oh boy...you really went there."

He cut me off again. Suddenly, he snatched the phone from my grip and threw it across the wall with such force that it burst open into shards!

The sound of it, the force of impact shocked me. Disoriented me!

I peeled my eyes away from the dent he put in the concrete wall.

"There goes your evidence~"

Then and there, I started wailing like a child. That's what I was left to do now. All pieces of evidence just made a hole in the wall and I had no one by my side too! Papa...would have listened to me.

Taken the right step to break off Elias and my engagement. Mama would have comforted me.

But they are now sealed away from this realm, their bodies dug and buried six feet deep in the ground, overnight...

I hear Elias suck his teeth as he crouched to my face. I was on the floor, destroyed and disheveled on my birthday.

My body jerked away from the way he sniffed on my neck, I felt disgusted.
