Chapter 5 The Truth Unveiled

Bethel turned away from his daughter as the carriage began to head west to Adonis's palace, tears dropping from his eyes,

Alpha Donald told Bethel, "Your daughter will always be remembered as a hero," he said.

"We need to get Lia mated immediately. "If Adonis finds out about the trick we've played, trust me, none of us will be spared," Donald responded. Bethel gave a slight nod, giving one last look at the carriage that bore his daughter.

"I'm proud of you," he murmured to himself.

Adonis walked in, his aura changing the bedroom, his eyes filled with lust, as he stared at her fragile statue sitting on the bed, the lights shone brightly on her, her veil covering her face perfectly.

"Donald knows better." His voice depended on so much lust, this was his moment. He was Adonis, the only one who could have whatever he wanted. With him was the famous and treasured beauty of the Stone Heart Pack. Their princess, Latina, who, according to rumors, had turned down numerous suitors.

Donald perfectly hid his daughter from the world, and for the first time, he knew he wanted her in exchange for the debt his father owed, or should he say this was a punishment for hiding such treasures from him anyway.

"Come to me, my love..." he said, but she sat out on the bed not moving an inch,

Kiana was drenched in her own sweat as she shivered in fear. This was the height of thing she would do. Her hands were pressed into the veil, tightly covering her face with it.

She had to say something now before he perceived her to be suspicious.

He leaned towards her, but she drifted back, her heart pounding vigorously. She stared at the incense, which was burning slowly. This was to make sure he fell asleep before he got to her.

"The candlelight...... Can you turn it off?" She asked with her head still hung low.

He was puzzled at first but did not hide his excitement in his voice. "Fine then, dear. "I shall turn off the lights, the more, the merrier," he said, and walked to where the candles were to put them off one by one until there was no light left in the room.

Adonis' footfall sent Kiana's heart pounding faster than ever. It would be disastrous if she failed to act for even one second. Steadying her voice as best she could, she said, "Come closer, my love."

Adonis breathed heavily when he sat beside her on the bed; Kiana could feel his stare piercing into her soul though it was pitch black around them. She had to be extremely careful, or he might find out who she really was at any moment.

In a slow, deliberate motion, he leaned forward and brushed Kiana's veil off her face. She held her breath, praying that darkness would hide what she truly looked like. Yet when his fingers brushed against her skin, it sent an electric shock through every inch of her being.

Adonis whispered, "Your skin feels like silk."

Kiana's heart raced as he leaned even closer, capturing all the sense of reality, leaving nothing outside their world anymore except desire itself. There had to be immediate action, since otherwise, everything would fall apart, so she remembered her dad's words.

"Use your own brains and cunning to stay alive."

Then, suddenly coming out strong with this idea, Kiana took hold of Adonis' cheeks, gently calling out "Oh sweetie, I longed for this so much," she said as seductively as possible.

Adonis's eyes glittered with excitement in the shadows, but Kiana knew he was exactly where she wanted him to be.

He slowly took off his robe, his gaze still fixed intently on her. She took off her eyes immediately.

"This was a bad idea...." She ranted, but it was too late. She was in his room and in his master's bed about to do the forbidden with him.

"So.....let's do magic." He climbed on the bed to where she sat. As he leaned in to kiss her, Kiana felt the urge to puke. She was going to give up her innocence to the baddest man in the whole of Winder town.

She gulped down the saliva in her throat and could bet that he heard it.

His hands caressed her thigh, as it made its way to her face, holding her hand to let down the veil and reveal her face to him.

"Show me...my love." His voice was hoarse. It was as if he was in pain.

Kiana heaved a deep sigh, the lights were off, and it was safe. She slowly let the veil off, staring into his eyes, but got the shock of her life: He was not the monster-looking type she had imagined him to be.

He was the most gorgeous Alpha she had ever set her eyes on. Even in darkness, she could tell by his perfect jawline and his broad chest, which showed off his abs.

"You...you..." her voice trailed, but he shut her up with a kiss, caressing her body, her eyes clouded in tears as tears streamed down her cheeks.

Adonis felt nothing..., there was no energy around her. It was like she was different. The same girl he met on the throne just by meeting her gaze, he felt the urge to mate her there and then.

He slowly broke off the kiss, his brows clenched into a frown, as he withdrew himself from her.

"Who are you...?" Adonis asked, his voice deepened. Kiana's heart dropped to her stomach.

"Huh?... What do you mean by who I am? I'm Latina, the daughter of..."

"Silence!!!!!"

The lights immediately came back on. Kiana was shocked at how he could do that, but then she beheld his face in the light. He was gorgeously monstrous.

He leaned forwards, with his emerald eyes meeting hers,

"I ask again.....who are you?"

Kiana knew this was over, the incense did not work, she had fallen to her own doom.
