Chapter 5 What I have to do

Eva's POV

" Arhh !! Come on Gabe let me have this." I exclaimed in frustration , after losing the fourth time .

" Not a chance ." He said looking at me with those blue eyes of his and threw the dice again.Now he was after the last house remaining

( Monopoly) I snatched the house and held it tightly in my hands .

" Hey?!!" He said this time his stare going to my hands . " Hand it over ."

" Not a chance ."I said repeating his word .he got up from his position and went over to me but I stood up away , he took a long stride and caught up with me grabbing my hand which help the object . I struggled with him laughing as I refused to give it to him.

" Eves!!" He said in a warning tone , but I held it tight . Then all of a sudden I tripped over his leg I fell down on my back dragging him with me and before I could say Jefferson, his face was inches away from mine .............This was it, the other reason why I didn't want him around me in school, I was worried people will find out , I was worried they'll see right through my act which Gabriel has failed to see in our ten years of friendship. Gabriel's face looked much more better than I thought in close view . His beautiful eyelashes proudly protecting those icy blue eyes of his his perfect nose in union with his luscious pink lips.

" Eves uh." He said jolting me back from my spiral thoughts. I quickly pushed him to the floor making him hit his sides hardly .

" Here I was thinking this was going somewhere interesting." He joked admits the pain , I just rolled my eyes at him. " Why not? After all you already said we look perfect together. " He continued, I hid the blush on my face from him .

" I had to say something to protect myself from your over possessive Girlfriend." I said

" You know better ." He said with a serious glare at me . I mouthed sorry from my mouth and went to pick up the pizza which just arrived.

" How you holding up?" I asked .

" Just there ." He said taking a slice pizza .Then we were engulfed by a comfortable silence as we silently ate.

" How's Jayden ?" He asked all of a sudden

I looked up from my food seeing him looking at me for an answer. " Does he still....."

" Nah , not since he got himself a new girlfriend, let's just hope this one stays longer ."

" You don't have to stay here you know ."

I can't Gabe , you know I have to stay here for mom.". . Just as he was about to say something the door burst open and Jayden and his girlfriend slid in all over each other as swift as a hawk Gabe grabbed my hand to hide behind the curtain near the dining, the sounds they made wasn't pleasing to my ears one bit . I tried hard to stable my breathing but was making little effort . I knew what would happen if Jayden Emily's real sin had seen me with Gabriel , Gabriel placed a hand on my shoulder trying to calm me down , I waited impatiently for them to move upstairs after about fifteen minutes they dragged themselves knocking over various vases upstairs then I let out my breath.

" You sure you can continue to stay here? With all these , Eves who knows what he might do again." Gabriel said when we got out of hiding.

" Worry about yourself, I'll be fine ."

" Hard head ." He said earning him a kick from me .
