Chapter 2 Arrival at Scotland

"I thought you said that the housekeeper to replace Maya is on her way? Where is she then?!" His voice thundered through the phone and the woman at the other had to pull the phone from her ears before placing it back again.

Bryan was furious and she knows whenever he is furious, it doesn't usually end well. How does she explain to him that the lady in question has not arrived.

He would have her head if she dared to say that so she had to come with a quick answer and fast.

As much as Bryan has a long list of women to satisfy his sexual urge, he still despises the female gender. He only has sex with them and that's all.

"She's on her way sir. I'm sure that there's traffic so that's why she hasn't arrived yet", she explained.

Bryan hissed and disconnected the call. It made no sense for him to keep talking to that bitch. Bryan took in a state of his house after the call and scowled in disdain.

After his little sexcapade with Molly, he had expected the place to be a mess and that's why he needed a housekeeper urgently.

His previous one had been accepted into college and the oldest he has now will not be able to handle all the work and that's why he thought of hiring a new person yesterday night. Although his previous housekeeper was one hot lady, he promised not to have sex with his workers. He preferred his usual whores.

He will just have to go to work out some matters with his fellow mafia boss and hopes that she resumes before he gets back. Otherwise, he's going to make sure that the Agency doesn't have another client in the future.

Karla had already finished packing her things, and already informed all her sisters in the church that she would be leaving for a new country. They prayed for her and also wished her good luck. She had already applied for a job as a maid in Scotland, so she booked her flight last night. Presently she was at the airport , waiting for her flight. After a few minutes of waiting it was time for her flight and so she entered the airplane and was waiting for take off.

Soon the flight attendant announced that the airplane would soon take off. And after few minutes the airplane took off

After a few hours, the airplane arrived at Scotland, so she immediately left the airport because she had a missed call from the agency. She quickly boarded a cab and showed them the address of the agency.

After a few minutes they arrived at the agency. She gave the driver money but he didn't accept, instead he replied to her with a compliment.

"No need for the money, you can keep it, and by the way you look gorgeous", he said as he licked his lips. He then came out of the car and helped her with her luggage.

Karla didn't really understand what he meant so she just appreciated him.

"Thank you for kindness sir, and may God bless you", she replied with gratitude.

She looked at the sign at the entrance to confirm if she was at the correct address before walking inside.

When she walked in she realized that everyone was working busily, so she sought help from the woman at the counter.

"Hello", she greeted with a bright smile. "I'm Karla Mathews..."

"You're the bitch that's supposed to start work today?"

"Yes, that's me."

"And you're just arriving now, Ma'am Patricia will surely have your head for this", she said before placing a call to her boss.

After some minutes, a woman in her early thirties stepped out of the office and came to where she stood.

"Karla Mathews?"

"That's me", Karla responded, facing her.

"I was thinking of replacing you with someone else, had it been you who came later than this but let's just say luck is on your side." She told her with a straight face. "The person you're supposed to be working for is already mad so, you have to leave before you infuriate him any further"

She scribbled an address on a piece of paper and handed it over to her.

"Twenty five percent of what you earn goes to the agency. I've sorted that out with your boss'', she explained while Karla was busy studying the content of the paper she had just handed over to her.

"How do I get there?" Came Karla's reply.

"Are you kidding me right now?"

"I'm very sorry ma'am" Karla apologized when the tone of the woman changed. "I've never been around here so I don't know my way around here". Karla replied with the remaining confidence she had left.

"Just take a cab and give him the address. The place you are working is very popular and everyone in this city knows where it's located."

A smile found its way to Karla's cheeks and she thanked the woman profusely before heading out of the office.

Karla successfully managed to book a cab after waving for over fifteen minutes. The city was a very busy one, she wasn't surprised at all.

She gave the driver her address and he drove her to her destination.

After paying him, she picked up her bags and stood at the entrance of the big building that resembles that of a palace. The sign in front of the gate ' SMITH's' was spelt out in gold.

Whoever lives here is a very wealthy and successful person and this is the life she had always dreamt of having.

She mumbled a small prayer before making her way to the security.
