Chapter 5 My Daughter is Nowhere to be Found

Alonso got to the house and instantly knew something was wrong, his driver pressed the horn for God knows how long, yet there was no response.

Having no choice, he got down from the car, his escorts following him. He sensed something was off, but was hoping he was wrong.

The main gate was locked, but the smaller one was opened. Entering, he saw the lifeless bodies of the two men guarding the gate.

Alarmed, he ran into the house. He had been trying his daughter's line, and she wasn't picking. He thought she was angry with him for not keeping to his promise, but now, he knew something was definitely wrong.

The house was so quiet that you would definitely hear if a pin drops. Alonso knew he was finished, he had lots of enemies, and didn't know which one had come to hunt him.

His wife would be returning to the country in a week, he needs to do all he can to ensure that he gets his daughter back before then. But how, when he doesn't even know who's behind it.

The escorts that were with him, had gone to check round the house if they could see any lead, or get anything, but there wasn't.

After thinking for a while, he remembered his library and ran there like his life depended on it.

He couldn't even find the guards there. Entering into the library, he saw that everywhere was still intact, grateful, thinking that no one knew about the place.

Taking his phone, he called for a meeting with his associates telling them they needed to take action, he didn't want anything happening to his precious daughter.

While pacing in the library, he saw a paper on the floor directed to him, from the guards.

We are sorry boss, but we had to leave seeing that we failed to protect Miss Sabrina and her friend.

The guy who came, came for you, and when he couldn't see you, he went along with Miss Sabrina and Miss Cassie.

We couldn't see his face, and even the cameras stopped working at that time, so we couldn't get anything.

"Oh my God! Why didn't I think of the camera, but then, how could they have tampered with it?"

"Do they have someone inside working for them?"

Sitting in the library, different thoughts were running through his head, while he waited for his associates to come around.

He had always done a clean job in anything he did so there weren't any traces, which is why he doesn't send his boys to do the work.

So where did he go wrong, which mission didn't he clear the traces well? His family mustn't know the dirty business he had soiled his hands into.

The sound of the phone jolted Alonso back to present, looking at the phone screen, it was his wife, fear gripped him instantly.

What would he tell his wife, he knew exactly why she was calling , and her friend's phone has been ringing non-stop since he gets back.

Giving the phone to one of his boys, he asked that they tell his wife he was asleep, and would call her back when he woke.

If he didn't pick up the call, she could come back to the country the next day, and he doesn't want that.

Things needed to be taken care of, his daughter needed to be found and doing okay before his wife got back.

Finally, his people were around, and they got to work. He already briefed them when they had a conference call informing them to come over.

The police station was a no no, they would put her pictures everywhere, and then his wife would find out.

"Alonso, I still do not get what's happening. Did you leave your daughter and her friend alone without adequate security?" a man from the association asked.

"Of course not, I came back and met them lifeless, the ones who weren't touched ran away leaving me with a note," Alonso replied worriedly.

"We'll just have to check the possible places they can be, cause this is so funny and surprising," another said.

"We need to begin work on how to get our hands on the person that dared try this with us, and get our children back," a man with a big tummy said, who also holds a high rank in the group.

"I'll send my boys to start their search, don't worry Alonso, we'll get the kids back," The same man spoke, getting up from the seat, while others followed suit.

"Thank you all so much, I really appreciate it."

Alonso said, getting on his feet to escort them.

"Just take care, and do not think about it. We would get to the root of it," another of his friends said, tapping him on the back.

"Goodbye Alonso," they greeted, stepping into their various vehicles.

Facing his guards, "I do not want any of this leaving here, it shouldn't be heard outside."

"Yes boss, you can trust us."

"Good! You all can go, take a break. I do not think I'll be going anywhere for now."

Saying this, he went up the stairs heading to his room.
