Two Weeks Earlier.

Ronan's POV

The door of my study creaked open and Damon, my Beta and best friend stepped closer to me, his expression unreadable.

"Alpha," Damon began as he stood tall in front of me. "The sperm is stored at the hospital. The only thing left is for Lady Lena to visit the hospital and start the IVF procedure."

I nodded slowly, My stomach churning at the situation... but what choice did I have?

Years ago, during a brutal clash between my pack and the rogue kingdom, I sustained a devastating injury-a rogue's claw tore through my groin. The aftermath left me with a condition known as Obstructive Azoospermia. It means I'm naturally infertile-unable to father a child the normal way. My only chance at having a biological child lies in IVF or surgical sperm retrieval.

Damon continued, his voice dropping a little bit lower, "Would Lady Lena do it? Considering the fact that you both aren't married yet."

I forced a smile. "I guess it's time to marry her then."

Lena is my betrothal. Her late father is the influential and wealthy gamma of my Pack-The Bloodmoon Pack. We've been officially engaged for two years now after she returned back to the kingdom from overseas and I have talked to her about marriage once, but Lena refused. The reason is because, she is an actress who is just making waves in the entertainment industry and wouldn't want marriage to distract her for now.

"Did you get the ring?" I straightened up, adjusting the golden cufflinks on my black Kiton suit.

"Yes, Alpha. It's in the car."

"Now... Let's go propose. You don't have to come with me."

I made my way out of the mansion, towards the garage and hopped into the back seat of my Maybach S680 4MATIC. Beside me, there was a bouquet of flowers and a Graff Promise Ring.

I smiled at myself. If everything worked out fine, I'd be a father in the next ten months.

"To the Grayson mansion," I ordered the chauffeur, who gave a curt nod, ignited the car and drove away from the driveway.

At the mansion, my hands hovered around the door bell, before I pressed it as I was still a bit anxious. Would she agree to marry me? Agree to the IVF?

No one answered, but I tried the door handle and found it unlocked. It was unlike Lena to be careless, and leave the door open. Pushing the door open quietly, I stepped into the living room and the sight before me was unbelievable.

I froze at the spot.

On the floor, clothes and underwear were scattered everywhere. Am I dreaming or something? I stepped closer, picking up a red lacey pant which I recognised belonged to her because I have seen her on it once.

I scoffed at the absurdity of the thought swirling inside me. She was having an affair.

Quietly, I made my way upstairs to her bedroom. At the hallway, I heard low, muffled moans and the sound of low whispers. I stepped closer, reaching for the doorknob and twisting it open slowly.

The sight before me almost made me stumbled backward.

Lena was naked on her knees in front of Lucien, the Alpha of a rival kingdom. She was sucking on his cock, hungrily like a slut picked up from the street and his hands gripping her hair as he thrusted deeper into her mouth, head thrown back in pleasure.

"Suck it you, slut," Lucien groan. "Take all of my cum. I bet that infertile Ronan doesn't feed you with his cum."

Stepping further into the room, I cleared my throat.

Their eyes snapped towards me and they disengaged from each other. Lena jumped to her feet and quickly grabbed the duvet to cover her body while Lucien didn't bother to cover up, his eyes were buried to the floor.

"Go on. It seems you two are having a nice time." I crossed my arms, smirking devilishly.

Lena stepped forward. "No.... Ronan. It's not like that. We were....." Her voice and body were trembling with fear.

Of course, she knew what I was capable of. I could set up a council and have them punished for infidelity but I wouldn't do that. I have a lot on my plate already and the news would be a stain on my image.

"The real reason why you don't want to get married is because I couldn't feed you with my cum, right?"

"Please...." She dropped to her knees again. "I'm sorry......"

"You know what?" I cut her off sharply. "We're done Lena. I don't want to see your face ever again."

"Ronan..... Please." She held my feet but I kicked her away.

I turned towards the door and then stopped mid way, looking back. "As for you, Lucien. You'll pay for this." With that I made my way out of the mansion.

My heart twisted with betrayal. I might not have any special feelings towards Lena but I considered her as my woman and Luna. I treated her with respect, accepted her even though she had this cocky and arrogant attitude.

It seems I would have to forget about having a wife for now and focus on having a child. A heir.

I reached for my phone and dialed Damon.

He answered immediately. "Yes, Alpha."

"Tell the hospital to look for a surrogate," I ordered.

It was silent for a beat before he spoke, "Understood, Alpha."

Lisa's POV

Present Day.

After thinking long and hard about it, I decided to do an IVF. I wasn't doing this out of desperation. I was doing it out of resolve. I'd made peace with not needing a man to have a child. A donor sperm, a signed agreement, and a future I could shape on my own terms. That was all I needed.

Apart from the fact that it would save my job, I figured out it would be good to have just one child for companionship sake since I wasn't getting married ever again.

IVF was expensive, so I explained my situation to Anna. She sympathised with me and she was more than willing to loan me the money

The doctor did the insemination a few days ago but today she had called me, requested that I see her immediately.

And here I was, in the waiting room of the fertility clinic. My stomach twisted with anxiety as I couldn't shake off the feeling that something had gone wrong.

Dr. Marlow ushered me into her office, her face tight with concern as she gestured to the seat across her. I sat down.

"Miss Lisa," she began. "There's something we need to discuss."

My breath seized. "What's wrong?"

"There's been a mix up at the lab. The sperm sample used for the insemination wasn't from the donor you selected."

"What?" My eyes narrowed. "Then whose was it?"

She hesitated. "It belonged to Alpha Ronan Stormrider."

Alpha. For a beat my brain didn't pick up her words. But when it did, my trembling hand flew to my mouth.

"Alpha?" I screamed, my voice louder than intended. "You mean a werewolf?"

She nodded.

I'm carrying the child of a werewolf!
