Work was going well so far, I struck up a few small conversations with people and didn't have one issue at hand. Usually people would start complaining about everything small thing but nope, not today.
I was way too tired to deal with any issues today and I'm so glad nothing bad was happening, I was unbothered for once in my life while working here.
Nicolas always comes to work with me, he doesn't have much to do and my boss doesn't mind it. Sometimes he even helps around, I think he should get a job here honestly.
Somehow, he gets so much money out of no where but he never told me what he does to earn it. I was assuming that he probably asked his family or friends for money and was just to embarrassed to say it. I didn't want to ask him though, he doesn't have to tell me anything.
I looked over at Nicolas while drying one of the cups, looks like he's making a new friend again. It was his specialty at this point, he was a funny guy and always new how to hold conversations. I watched as they shook hands and started talking, it was nice to see really.
But I was interrupted by a scream of a man near me. "Helloo? Bartender, hurry up over there! I don't have all da-", he was cut off by the voice of another man.
'And now my day is fucking ruined.'
"I think you can wait, sir. It's not the end of the world, be more polite to the person serving you." said man who had interrupted.
I looked up so see who it was that was defending me, I wasn't expecting to see who I saw.
'Holy fuck, that same guy again?! How did he find me here, what does he even want?!'
"Oh come on, she's just a bartender. How hard can it be to pay attention and do your job right?" he asked while rolling his eyes.
The stalker walked over to the man and whispered something in his ear, I couldn't hear it though. As he moved away, the man had fear in his eyes. What did he even say to him?
"I-I'm so sorry, miss. That was dumb of me, I won't do it again!" he apologized, setting down a tip while instantly running off afterwards even though he didn't get anything yet.
"Problem solved." the man said with a smirk.
I slowly picked up the tip from the counter, keeping my eyes on the guy. Even if he was a stalker, he sure as hell was handsome. His gorgeous looking hair and his dark eyes, perfectly glowing skin.
"Thank you.." I whispered, stuffing the tip into my pants pocket while taking my eyes off of him for a second.
"You're welcome, piccola." he muttered, taking the seat of the man who ran off.
'Oh that's even better, he's an Italian guy.'
'Heard they were the best in bed, maybe he's up to one-night-stands? Nah, probably not.'
"Are you alright?" he asked, bringing me back to the present as I had drifted off into my thoughts again.
"Oh, yeah. Sorry I was just think about something." I answered.
"While staring at me?" he asked with a smirk.
I hid my face in embarrassment. I didn't mean to stare at him while thinking about that but he was just so hypnotizing to look at, it felt like a spell was being put upon me.
"Are you stalking me? This can't be a coincidence three times in a row, what do you want from me?" I asked, trying to change the subject as fast as I could.
"It can be a coincidence, could be fate for all we know. I don't want anything from you, just wanted to come here for a drink."
"Okay, what can I get you, sir?" I asked while wiping down the counter.
He paused for a moment before talking, "What do you think a man like me would drink?" he asked.
I looked at him again, almost completely forgetting the question once I saw his body. He was so handsome, his body was so perfect. I was so tempted to touch him but that would have been weird, I didn't even know this man that well yet.
"Rum and Coke, you seem like the man to drink that." I finally answered after taking my eyes off of his body and locking eyes with his eyes.
"Rum and Coke it is then.", he said with a grin, still keeping eye contact with me.
I sadly broke the eye contact with him to make his drink, he was watching my every move. I didn't mind it, it actually made me smile a bit. Usually I felt uncomfortable when people did that but he was different.
I finished his drink and served it to him, watching him take a sip of it. He seemed to have liked it since he took another sip of it before looking over at me.
"This is wonderful, thank you." he calmly said with a warm smile on his face.
"You're welcome, sir." I replied, giving him a smile in return of his.
"You don't mind staying here for a bit, right? I want to get to know you some more, you seem very sweet and you're very pretty."
I chuckled lightly at his compliment, "I don't mind, work's getting slow now so I won't get in trouble. What's your name?"
"I'm Lucifer, pleasure to meet you." he introduced himself while giving me his hand to shake.
"I'm Ella, pleasure to meet you as well, Lucifer." I introduced myself while shaking the hand he had out.
We started talking, he wasn't as bad as I thought he was. I don't know what he did for a living since he refused to tell me but it must have been good, he wore very nice things from what I saw of him today. I learned more about him the more he spoke, it was actually fun getting to get to know him.
After he finished, I began. I shared what I did for a living, stability, living situations, all that. It was nice getting to talk about myself honestly, I didn't do this often.
Nicolas already knew almost everything about me so there wasn't a lot for me to say around him and I never liked talking to many people like this. I didn't even realize how long I was talking.
"I'm so sorry, I've been talking so much alre-"
"I don't mind, your voice is soothing to listen too. Keep going, your life seems very interesting." he smiled.
I slightly blushed at his compliment, it was nice knowing he wanted to actually listen to me. I continued and finished off a while after. I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw that it was Nicolas.
"Ella, can I steal you away real quick?" he asked.
I looked over at Lucifer and he gave me a nod, letting me go. I followed Nicolas into a corner where no one could really hear our conversation.
"You've been talking to that guy for ages, and he's very good looking, you know."
I knew what he was implying, I chuckled at the thought. "It's not like that, I just met him and he seems like a good chatter. I might give him my number, who knows?"
"If you don't do that then I will do it for you, just remember that." he said with a light laugh.
"Who's that other guy you're talking to? He seems pretty cool, you've been talking to him for a while as well. Is he an interesting person?" I asked out of curiosity.
"He's pretty cool, I like this guy a lot. His name is Oliver, apparently you're talking to his brother over there." he said while pointing at Lucifer.
As I looked over at the bar to see if he was still there, I saw some people waiting so be served. I excused myself and walked over to get there drinks. I finished up with them and walked over to Lucifer.
"I see your brother is starting quite the conversation with my friend Nicolas over there."
"He's one hell of a talker, I have a question for you. Would you guys like to join us for a feast we're holding tonight at my place?" he asked.
"How do I know you're not some cannibal, putting me as your next victim?" I joked.
"I can assure you I'm not." he said with a chuckle. "So, will you come with us?"
I thought about it a little before responding, I would have to talk with Nicolas about this if he wanted to go but I'm sure he wouldn't mind it.
"Sure, I'll give you my number and you can text me the details if needed." I said while writing my number down on my notepad and handing it to him.
"Would it be okay if I was the one to pick you up?" he asked, taking the paper and placing it in his pocket.
"Yeah, that's fine! I'll text you the address when I get off of work, I look forward to seeing you again."
"As do I, Ella. It's about time for me and my brother to be heading out, I enjoyed talking with you. I will see you later, take care." he said while leaving his tip and walking out the door.
I put the tip in my pocket and walked over to Nicolas, trying to tell him the plan for tonight.
"So, that seemed to go well." he chuckled.
"Yes, it did. In fact, it went so well that he wants us to join them for dinner tonight. That sounds like fun, right?"
"It does, his brother seemed pretty cool too. I say we join them, this could give us some new friends."
'Thank god he agreed to go.'
A few hours later, I finally got off of work. Nicolas helped me fix up the workspace a bit so it would be easier for the next person on shift to manage.
We drove back home and talked about the chats we had with the two bothers, they seemed like pretty interesting people.
Something about Lucifer made me feel all warm inside. He gave off a dangerous but comforting vibe when we were talking and making eye contact, his smile just gave me butterflies when I saw it.
The compliments he gave me were even better, he was a smooth talker indeed. He was the only thing on my mind during that entire shift after he left, and now he's still on my mind during this conversation with Nicolas.
I was just so excited to see him once again, I couldn't wait.
