A Surprise Visit*

One afternoon, as Lexi was working on a wedding bouquet, the doorbell above the shop entrance jingled. She looked up to see Julian's mother, Mrs. Styles, walking in with Julian's help.

Lexi's eyes widened in surprise. "Mrs. Styles! It's so lovely to see you."

Mrs. Styles smiled warmly. "I hope I'm not interrupting, dear. I wanted to see the shop and thank you in person for all your help with the garden."

Lexi beamed with pride, showing Mrs. Styles around the shop. As they chatted, Lexi realized how much she admired Mrs. Styles' strength and kindness.

Julian watched the exchange, his eyes filled with affection for his mother and... Lexi. He couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in the woman he was falling for.

As they prepared to leave, Mrs. Styles turned to Lexi. "You know, I've been thinking. The garden party we discussed would be perfect for my birthday next month."
