Tiffany and group finally left, probably frustrated and annoyed that I did not react, not that I cared anyways.
My weekend slowly passed with minimal activities. My vomiting was frequent mostly in the mornings, and I wasn't able to eat my meals properly. I noticed that my body react to some smells of my meals and I immediately throw up on the spot. When this happened, I immediately booked an appointment with the doctor, prior to the scheduled appointment.
I was aware this was connected to my pregnancy, but I had no experience in such matter. It also did not help that I couldn't share this with my family, the experienced female werewolves in the pack or my mate, Jared.
Asides this, I tried to finish up some assignments due on Monday, and also finished up project proposal draft for my supervisor. I am in my last year as a business major and project was like a compulsory 90% of my grades to graduate. Even if I had one of the best grades, a project was necessary to graduate from the university.
Monday arrived and I left the pack for the university. Sometimes, Stephanie and Logan pick me up. If my class was a very early morning, I stay in Stephanie and Logan's two bed room apartment the previous day. The couple shared a room, while I have the other room as mine.
Other times, I find my way out if it wasn't convenient for them. Of course, I have to be cautious of some rogues that held no feeling towards life.
''Morning, sweetie.'' Stephanie greets with a tired yawn as I enter her car after crossing the empty road. ''Damn, I hate Mondays!''
''Morning everyone.'' I return with a small smile and removed my bag from the shoulder. I took a deep breath and relaxed on the back seat as Stephanie drove the car away from the deep forest.
As I watch the scenery of the passing trees, I sensed someone's glance in my way, and release a sigh. ''What is Steph?''
''...um...how are you doing?'' Stephanie ask carefully. ''You know the baby...and all?''
''...I'm good.'' I say, not mentioning what happened on Friday night with Jared. My best friends did not need to be fully aware of my sufferings. ''I booked an appointment with the doctor. I couldn't eat well because I felt nauseous.''
''~Kay. Let us know if you need any help, Lena.'' Fortunately, Stephanie did not ask much, or perhaps she knew that I wasn't yet comfortable telling everything.
''Hm.'' I only hum in reply and shut my eyes to take a small rest till we arrived at the university.

''Mrs. Henderson, pardon my words, but is your husband aware of the child?'' The doctor regarded me with a serious stare.
''......'' I remain silent for a moment before replying in a small voice. ''No.'' I lower my gaze out, feeling a bit of embarrassment.
''....Are you still married or preparing for a divorce?''
''....Married.''
''And you did not tell him about the child, Mrs. Henderson?''
''....I tried.'' I answer, nervously fumbling with my fingers on my lap as the embarrassment deepened from each question.
I heard sigh from the doctor and cautiously raised my gaze to him staring at some papers.
''Nothing out of sort from your previous tests, but I mentioned that sex is quite risky for a young and pregnant lady like you, Mrs. Henderson.''
''.....''
''I don't understand your family situation, Mrs. Henderson, but if your pregnancy was not your will, it's best you leave your marriage and raise your child in a safe and healthy environment.'' The doctor warns with a serious gaze, and I respond with a small nod.
Afterwards, the doctor prescribed the same medications that I refused last time for my morning sickness, and also advised some precautions to have a safe pregnancy. According to his words, I should note down the foods that makes me nauseous and others that do not.
When my doctor's appointment was done, I step out of the hospital and walked down to the parking lot where Stephanie has been waiting for me in her car. Logan had his part time jobs, leaving only Stephanie who decided to follow me to the hospital after our class.
''How was it? Is the baby fine?'' Stephanie ask in concern after I sat on the passenger seat. My heart warmed at the fact that someone was worrying about my health and the baby's.
''Everything's fine. I just have some drugs for my morning sickness.'' I say, buckling my belt and Stephanie turned the car's ignition.
''Drugs? Why didn't you get them last time?'' Her brows furrow as she turned the wheels and reversed the car out a bit before accelerating out of the parking.
''...I didn't have enough money.'' I answer, pursing my lips slightly. I couldn't tell her that I had imagined how happy and caring, Jared would have been with child.
''You have me and Logan, don't you?'' She scoffs lightly at my poor excuse. ''Don't think I am stupid to follow your silly excuses.''
''.....'' I quietly turn my head to the passing scenery.
''We'll stop by the pharmacy then and get the drugs, but do human drugs on werewolves?''
I freeze at her question.
Indeed, why hadn't I thought of that?
''I'm half human, so I'm on the safe side, but you're a full werewolf.'' Stephanie continues. ''When you mentioned hospital the last time, I had assumed it was your pack's hospital, not a human one. You weren't exposed, right?''
''...There doesn't seem to be anything.'' I try to remember if the doctor and nurses I encountered acted out of sorts, but there was nothing. ''The doctor only briefed me on my pregnancy.''
''I guess you're fine then. Be careful next time, Lena.''
''Yes, thank you.''
Definitely, I should be careful next time. I hadn't really thought as deeply as Stephanie when I went to the hospital. It also didn't help that the pack's hospital was not a good option.
My twin sister has been in coma in the place, and the last time I tried to see her, I was thrown out without hesitation, and even banned from the entering the pack's hospital.
Hospitals in the human society was my only option. If I went to another pack's hospital, my appearance would surely raise questions. After all, why couldn't a Luna enter her own pack's hospital?
'...I guess I shouldn't risk my baby's safety with those drugs.'
''Oh right, I'm going to frat party tonight.'' Stephanie announces as the car stopped before the red traffic light. ''This popular guy in arts is celebrating his birthday today, so free food and drinks, baby!'' She grins happily in my way and I chuckle lightly at her reaction.
''What of Logan?''
''No way.'' Stephanie immediately denies. ''I'm having some me time tonight. Girls' gotta have some fun. It's a shame you're pregnant though. I could have forced you into a nice dress.'' She sighs regretfully as the traffic light turned green.
''....Why can't I come?'' The question flows out of my mouth before I could I stop it.
''Huh?'' Stephanie glances at me in surprise. ''You, a second version of Logan wants to party? I'll be happily ready to dress you, but girl, you're preggy. No alcohol for our precious munchkin.''
''I'll be careful.''
''No.''
''Please Steph.''
''Nope.''
''Just this once.''
''No way.''
''......'' I remain quiet, knowing that Stephanie would not definitely not take to the frat party. Sure, I was being irresponsible at the moment, but I did not feel like being alone tonight, especially at the pack.
''Why do you want to party anyway?'' Stephanie ask with a confused glance.
''...I need to take mind off things.'' I answer after a moment of silence. ''I don't want to be alone with my thoughts.''
*horn*
More silence follows after my words as a truck drove past us. My eyes unknowingly trailed after the large vehicle.
''Alright.'' Stephanie agrees, a moment later. ''You just have to be careful not drink alcohol. I'll just have to stay with you until the end of the party.''
She then shrugs her shoulders. ''Easy.''
