Chapter 2 TWO

Chapter Two

The wind shifted from her right. She quickly ducked away from his strong arms and pulled the trigger. The smell of metal filled her nose. She smirked and immediately moved away. She looked at him and saw the bullet stuck in his thigh. The wound was still smoking as the silver burned his flesh. Zafrix stared at her coldly, as if unaffected.

"You've been underestimating me very much," he said coldly.

Her face twisted into a frown as she watched his wound heal quickly. She saw the bullet leave his thigh and fall to the floor. Then the wound healed as if nothing had happened.

"What the---"

In an instant, the gun was no longer in her hand. She saw it hanging from the blade of a dagger stuck in the wall. She looked back at Zafrix Wolfe, who was still holding the broken strap of her belt. She hadn't even seen when he threw the dagger.

"Now," he said and glared at her. "Tell me who you really are."

'Oh, this will be a long night.'

"The name is Marianne, your stupid grace," she said and took off her jacket, tossing it on the floor.

Guess she really had to go to Plan B.

He narrowed his eyes and watched her also take off her necktie and loosen a few buttons of her white shirt.

"Why did you come here?"

"Isn't it obvious, or are you just being plain stupid?" she mocked and got ready for a fight.

It was his turn to smirk, which immediately made her blood run cold.

"I would really love to teach that mouth of yours how to behave like a proper lady," he growled lowly, his eyes darkening, while his wide shoulders tensed in excitement.

Sofia felt a slight nervousness again, but she didn't let it stop her.

"I'll be easy on you, Marianne. I'll let you surrender nicely and allow you to apologize," he said, his head tilted to the side.

She stared at him.

"And why would I do that?" she asked and moved very fast in front of him, surprising him again. She took her knife and gun from the wall, making the crack worse. She pointed her gun at him. "Because I'm here to make you hurt," she said and shot many times.

Zafrix easily moved away from her bullets until she had no more. She threw the empty gun away and saw him coming closer. She bent down to avoid his attacks and aimed her knife at his chest. He quickly stopped her arm and pulled her close to him by her waist, making her drop the knife. She gasped when she felt how hard his body was against her back.

"Two can play this game," he whispered in her right ear.

She made an angry sound and kicked him in the face with her right foot. He made a surprised sound and let her go without wanting to. She wasn't done and kicked him again on the side of his face, which he quickly moved away from.

She saw the knife she dropped and went to pick it up. But before she could touch it, she was lying on the couch with Zafrix on top of her. Her eyes grew wide when she heard her tight skirt accidentally rip. She then accidentally looked into his eyes, which she had been trying to avoid.

They both stopped when they felt a sudden connection. Sofia's eyes got even bigger, while Zafrix looked a bit spaced out, staring into her eyes. Soon, he smiled.

"So, you are the one I have been waiting for nine hundred years?" he said, his voice still cold but now sounding relieved.

"What?"

Sofia was confused. 'What is happening? Why can't she look away?!' she thought loudly.

"And after nine hundred years, I'm not going to wait anymore," he growled and tore her shirt and vest, showing her shoulder and neck.

He made another growl. Sofia didn't have time to react before she felt Zafrix Wolfe's sharp teeth sink into her neck.

A loud gasp came from Sofia when Zafrix bit her neck. It hurt a little, but the good feeling it sent through her body was amazing. Her mind became cloudy, and her body started to get warm all over, almost shaking with extreme joy.

For a moment, she couldn't calm down before her mind became clear again. She tried to push him away, but he pressed down harder on her. The strange warmth from Zafrix quickly spread through her body again. She felt both fear and worry. She didn't understand what was happening. She tried to fight, but his grip just got stronger when she moved.

"Get off!" she yelled and tried to push him away.

She knew it! She was going to die. Zafrix Wolfe wouldn't think twice about killing someone like her who tried to hurt him. All her hard work would be lost.

Zafrix grabbed her wrists and held them above her head. He pushed his teeth even deeper into her neck, making her gasp again. But instead of feeling a lot of pain, the opposite happened. She didn't understand. What was that feeling growing inside her? Why was a stubborn voice telling her to just give in?

Soon, she felt like her body was on fire. The strange feeling was spreading through her whole being. She felt him pull away, which surprised and relieved her. However, every time his skin touched hers, it brought a strange heat to her body. Especially when he licked the bite he gave her. She shivered without meaning to, almost letting out a moan but stopped herself.

This is not how she was supposed to feel! What did he do to her? He looked at her closely in the eyes. She looked back at him, her eyes wide with confusion and clear fear of the unknown.

"What did you do?!" she demanded angrily.

She tried to get free again, but Zafrix only held her tighter.

"I just took what is mine," he said, his voice still cold.

Claimed?! What is he talking about?

"Yours?! I'm not yours!" she yelled angrily.

She tried again to free her wrists, but stopped when Zafrix leaned down. She held her breath as his face was just a centimeter from hers. Her eyes moved down to his reddish lips. His warm breath was on her red face.

How was she supposed to make him want her when she was the one caught under his spell?

"I have all the ways to prove that you are mine, Marianne..." he said softly, his cold grey eyes also looking down at her lips.

Sofia ground her teeth when she heard that. It seemed he really liked women. That thought made her angry again. This time, it made her anger stronger and helped her get rid of the strange feeling that was trying to mess with her mind. This made her able to push him away.

Zafrix didn't expect her strong push, which made him fly back. He quickly got control of himself and stopped himself from hitting the table nearby. He looked at Sofia with dangerous cold eyes. Sofia quickly got up from the sofa, wincing a little because of the sudden pain from the bite on her neck. She gave the man a sharp look and was about to attack him again.

Her body suddenly swayed. She didn't expect her knees to suddenly feel weak. She was starting to feel dizzy. She looked back at Zafrix again when she felt his presence quickly get closer.

What did this man do to me?!

She stepped back, causing her to fall onto the sofa again and grab hold of it. She didn't understand why she suddenly felt dizzy. Was it because of his bite? What did this devil do to her?

She saw something flash from the corner of her right eye. She had no time to react when he pulled her against him. This made her grab onto his wide chest. She felt that pleasant feeling throughout her body again.

"Let me go!" she yelled at him and tried to pull away, wanting to deny the pull of his body, the need and desire coming from her own. She wasn't stupid enough to not know what she was feeling deep inside.

Stupid hormones!

She winced when his bite on her neck suddenly throbbed painfully again. She stopped and held her neck. She looked up at him again; he was staring coldly back at her. His handsome face showed no emotion. She felt something strange in her stomach again when their eyes met. It was as if a force was pulling her to stay in that position and just stare into his eyes.

"Green eyes, huh?" he said, pulling her out of her foolish trance.

Sofia blinked. He was staring intensely into her eyes, which she had tried to hide. Her black contact lenses must have melted by now. She tried to break free again, but every move she made caused the bite on her neck to hurt more. She ignored the pain and kept fighting him. What she was feeling wasn't normal, and she needed to stop it. She had to get rid of it.

She twisted her body quickly and elbowed him on the side of his face. She broke free from his tight hold and stepped back several times.
